I thought other Golden krust were terrible, this one makes the rest look like the olive garden, no coco bread? No soy patties? No spinach patties? Close this shit down please.

I will give them 2 stars for effort. The Oxtails were done well but it lacked seasoning. Always go with your first instinct and mines said order soup and a patty. But noooooo someone decided to try something that I KNOW needs finessing. You can’t just whip up Oxtails and feed it to people. The cabbage was bland and a little over cooked. I’m mad I wasted my money on that food! FYI skip the Oxtails and get you soup and a patty.

I don’t have many other places to compare Caribbean food too but I found this place okay. We ordered on seamless for delivery. Got the Jerk Chicken with Rice and peas and two spicy beef patties. We ordered the large because there didn’t seem to be a big different in calories indicated on seamless compared to the small and the price difference wasn’t huge. The food came and it was ok. the patty was okay lol. There is a definite kick but it was lacking in the meat? I felt the patty was very thin lol but it was still good. I think I liked my patty more than the jerked chicken lol. The Jerked chicken wasn’t bad. It was my first time trying jerked chicken so I was curious. It was pretty good. I want to try more Caribbean places so I can compare but it wasn’t a bad experience. the serving was definitely big! I wonder if we would have been okay with just a small. I think the different between the Large and Small is just how much rice they give you. I think they give you the same amount of chicken just more rice? Overall it was a good experience but probably won’t order from here again for a while? Want to try other places before I decided to get food from here again.

If i could put 0 stars i would, came in for lunch paid $ 12 for oxtails, got 5 pieces of oxtails that barely had any meat at all, on top of that they weren’t tender so the meat was tough and stuck to the bone. For about $ 3 a piece the oxtails should have been tender and juicy! This place sucks!!!

I love patties and in Cali we don’t have pattie chains. Not a big fan of their meals but convenient patties!

I stopped going to golden Krust for meals and patties a while ago. I just go grab the hard dough bread. This location pleasantly surprised me with some good spicy beef patties. The jerk chicken patty would have been just as good if there was any jerk chicken in it. They really skimped on the chicken filling… It was essentially all Krust.

I like their portions sizes, but I really didn’t like their jerk chicken, and peas and rice. I’ve had better.

Stopped in at this place because it’s right next to a friends apartment… and we picked up a couple of Jamaican patties. The smell in the tiny place was delicious… and looking up at the pictures of curry goat and oxtail on the made my mouth water. Unfortunately the patties that we had were less than impressive… the beef didnt even taste like beef… which worries me. I’ve had other patties where the beef is fresh and well seasoned. I’m willing to try one of their other dishes to see if they can«wow» me.

Poor customer service and subpar food. The staff is mainly composed of jerks and the slop that’s served in lieu of true Jamaican cuisine is overpriced. Beware of the menu that promises a soft drink with your meal! You’ll find out that the prices are incorrect and you get no soft drink because the machine has been broken for over two years!

Love the curry and stew chicken here as well as the patties and carrot cake.

Golden Krust is a city wide chain of Jamaican bakeries. Connoisseurs of Carribean food do not prefer Golden Krust, but I appreciate being able to grab a quick patty on the way to the subway station when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time for a proper breakfast. They have a wide range of patties, vegetarian and meet, which make a great snack for under $ 2. You can also have full meals, ackee & saltfish for breakfast, currry chicken, curry goat, oxtail stew and other Jamaican favorites, including agony, mauby & various other health drinks. The standard seems fairly consistent at all the brances I’ve been into the city — just beware the one in Grand Central is twice as expensive as all the others.
