nice simple coffee shop, let me compare Dweeb to Wilson Tea & Coffee. *I have only been to each coffee shop once: Dweeb: appropriately priced(for now), staff are quite nice :), coffee is good Wilson T&C: overpriced tea, and staff are not very helpful in explaining their ‘tea collection’. Also, they don’t bother to make you feel welcome at all :(

Awesome little coffee shop. Despite the wait for food, I have to say, the avocado toast was mind blowing and the coffee was delicious. This place is only getting better and I will definitely be back.

Thank goodness there’s a coffee shop that actually opens at 7 am on the weekend! Of all the listings, I praise this one for actually being open. Ordered a cold brew on the go and at first it looked watery but it wasn’t at all. Good fruity taste to it. The place looks clean and relaxing. Definitely a good place to relax.

Yummy coffee, delicious Cappuccinos, and mind blowing doughnuts from Dough. Great place to hang or get work done weekdays or weekends. A wonderful addition to the ‘hood.

Having a new coffee shop open up close to you is a good thing. Being that I fall slightly(although this is most likely questionable amongst those close to me) in the ‘Nerdy’ category, I was intrigued when the newest Bushwick java joint opened with a name like Dweebs. It took a little while for them to get their sea legs and their personality to emerge but this is to be expected from a place of that namesake. What I love about Dweebs is that it is simply just a good neighborhood coffee shop. Instead of spending all your time on kitschy themed design ideas or pretentious snooty overpriced cocoa culture, they have just provided the neighborhood with a quite, clean and non judgemental space to chill. The staff is overwhelmingly friendly and on point. It’s nice to walk in and feel like you’re getting a cup of coffee from your friend or roommate. The coffee is great. I love their cold brew as well as just a hot black coffee. Supporting local and independent businesses is important and Dweebs follows in that ideology by sourcing from NY roasting company Red Roasters. Their choice is an obvious one once you’ve had a cup. I love the cold brew. Its strong and properly made. Half the shops out their offering cold brew(even chain shops) aren’t doing it correctly. Their small menu I have yet to try but I am looking forward to trying. With offerings like avocado toast and muenster grilled cheese, I’m sure to be pleased. Who’s the ‘Big Ninny’ that declared scones, muffins and cookies are what we want to accompany our cup a joe. I haven’t attended any events but in keeping with the namesake they are offering board game night every Thursday. They had live showings of the latest show by Neil Tyson Degrasse. The décor is simple and white, with outdoor seating in front, raised above the sidewalk. It provides a nice alternative to relaxing. The location is the middle of a residential block and sits above the street in between the brownstones adds to the laid back atmosphere. I’m looking forward to their liquor license coming through which will allow for the alternative place to have a glass of wine or beer(of course that could lead to some skuffles over 20 sided dice). So if you’re in the hood and passing through pop in and try a cup, support the coffee rebels, be Luke and help defeat the Death Starbucks!

Love this place! The owners are super friendly and the coffee is great. I recommend the macchiato. Beer and cocktails coming soon. Can’t wait!

Very cute spot with good coffee but just had to wait 30 minutes for a grilled cheese! Watched the guy preparing it, he was only working on my sandwich, not like there was a backup of orders, at the slowest snail’s pace possible. I know they’re new, but a simple grilled cheese does not need to be labored on for half and hour… Sandwich was pretty good so leaving 4 stars, but I hope they can pick up the pace in the future!

So happy to have this place in the neighborhood. Amazing coffee, Dough pastries, nice barista’s, cozy atmosphere– I am all about it!

Good coffee but bad layout. There’s a ‘bar’ to sit at and order from, yet there’s no room under the bar for your knees and they place baked goods on the bar so there’s no place for your coffee or journal. And if people are at the bar then there’s nowhere to order from. No flow, patrons walk in stand in front of the door and leave because no one even acknowledged them. You don’t need to be an architect, just common sense.

I live above dweebs, and was really excited when they opened. The space itself is clean, comfortable, and bright; with large windows that allow customers a nice street view while they work, sip coffee, chat, whatever. There is also a small patio with a few tables for when it’s nice out. Their cold brew is kickass, and they have a selection of doughnuts from Dough, which is awesome. Since I’ve been there, I’ve heard they’ve added a selection of sandwiches and café fare to the menu, which I can’t wait to try. As of now they are BYOB, and they close pretty early; however, once they get a liquor license, I feel like the place is really going to take off as a new hotspot in the neighborhood.

I really want this place to succeed because it’s not only in my neighborhood, but it’s an independent coffee shop that just opened up and the owners are incredibly nice. However, I can’t in good faith do that because of the quality of their menu, which disclaimer, it is a new spot so they’re probably still working out the kinks. For one, I had to wait a little too long for a grilled cheese sandwich(they just started a limited food venue) and when I got it, it was cold and the cheese wasn’t melted at all. The pros of this place are the ambience, the staff and it’s very reasonably priced. I hope to come back here soon and get a good grilled cheese!

Dweebs is everything I look for in a coffee shop: spacious, good music, basked in natural light, lacking pretension, and excellent, always consistent product. The coffee here is fantastic! They use the same beans as KAFFE1668 in Manhattan, beans that Will, one of the owner-operators of Dweebs, roasts when he isn’t in his own café! This shop is owner-operated by two young and eager men, will and mike. I appreciated the attention they paid to each customer as they walked in, while maintaining whatever conversation they were already engaged in. They have a small, vegetarian menu with avocado toasts, grilled sandwiches, and chia puddings, as well as pastries from Dough Donuts– all delicious. BESTNEWSISDWEEBSWILLSOONBE A CAFE/BAR! Wait for the liquor license to come through, because in a few short weeks they will be slinging craft beers and cocktails, as well as wine! Thanks for the awesome shot!

This is a great little place. I’m giving it 5 stars and a triple«a» rating: affable, appetizing, affordable. They make a great brew and their decaf is even freshly pressed. It’s friendly and you feel welcomed when you first walk in. The owners are ready for conversation any time or will leave you alone if you prefer anonymity. Lastly, menus is simple and prices are affordable. Oh, and they serve pastries from Dough — can’t beat that! It’s an impressive new place that recently popped up that I hope will be around for awhile.

This place opened in my building so I have proximity to recommend it. That aside, the coffee is great, the doughnuts phenomenal, but what makes this place a must-visit are the owners. Will and Mike are very chill, always open for a conversation or a board game if the place isn’t too busy, but they also know how to leave you alone if you need to focus on your laptop. Outdoor seating, communal and private tables, plus seating at the coffee bar. If you’re in Bushwick this should become your neighborhood café.

Really good coffee and doughnuts from Dough! Not the most inexpensive shop but maybe the Ronnybrook milk makes up for that. The owner mentioned that they’ll have board games soon and I’m definitely looking forward to it. All in all, it’s a nice addition to the local café scene.
