I have eaten there many times. The food is decent for the price. The Mexican chicken and rice is pretty good, but could use more flavoring. They have a great lunch special for their Chinese food. The General Tso chicken with fried rice and an egg roll is a good value. I also like their beef and broccoli.

Very friendly staff. The food is good and I would say their mexican food is better then there chinese food. Big burritos great tacos, the only place in a five mile range that knows how to make a perfect fried half chicken or fried chicken wings. Their fried rice is lacking but an overall good place. Plus try the general tso shrimp.

Solely on the basis of Ariela’s review, I decided to come here to get my chicken and broccoli fix on after a long day at work. I can honestly say, the reviews are actually very accurate. Clean interior and the staff speaks English fairly well. My order was then super sized after I saw their soups selection and added on the shrimp dumpling mei fun soup. Being this place is literally walking distance to my home, I am pleasantly surprised this interesting cuisine merger. Sadly, I have to give it three stars because of the quality of my chicken in my chicken and broccoli. When I bit into some of the pieces of my chicken, I actually had a few pieces that were chewy. I had to spit them out, which is not very sexy nor appetizing! Because of this, I didn’t get to fully enjoy my dinner that I was looking so forward to. The soup on the other hand that I actually decided to take for lunch, was pleasantly tasty! The shrimp dumplings were plentiful and the noodles weren’t mushy. Bravo!

I’ve been very happy with both the Tex-Mex and the Chinese food from DiDI. I’ve never had a bad dish there. Even the burger and fries are really good. I recommend them.

I’ve never seen a Tex-Mex place in Sheepshead Bay before. Hell, in Brooklyn. Well, I’m probably not looking hard enough, but that’s beside the point. These guys moved into the almighty Corner Storefront of Doom, right after HBO finished filming one of the scenes from You Don’t Know Jack in the empty building. I call it the Storefront of Doom because every business that’s started or moved there within the last 20+ years has gone out of business. An electronics/TV store, a few bodegas, an antique store, a shower hardware store… there’s a whole list somewhere. And now, Didi’s. I was pretty surprised initially to see a –restaurant– move in, but I diligently made the arduous 350ft trek down my block to offer up my taste buds and criticism. Verdict: Pleasantly surprised. I was expecting the same generic tasteless Americanized«Chinese» crap you can find pretty much wherever the words«TAKE-OUT» are emblazoned on an awning in bold red letters underneath a light blanket of bird droppings. But the dishes I’ve sampled here so far are actually –good-. Like, I’d actually consider eating there –intentionally-, other than simply ordering out or grabbing convenient food on the go. They ARE a take-out place though, so don’t come here expecting to sit down if you’re more than 3 or 4 people. The majority of the space is stainless steel kitchen, and there are two tables in the front, with a nice open(and clean) place for a group to wait for their orders. My brother’s a huge fan of their enchiladas, but I’m still trying to decide what my favorite dish is. Possibly the steak quesadilla. I’ll need to subject my taste buds to more pleasant abuse before I really settle on anything. Their Chinese menu is more or less standard(they all look pretty much the same), but the Tex-Mex menu is new(at least for my area) and yummy. And everything is made right there fresh. At least as far as I’ve observed. Hopefully Didi’s won’t succumb to the Corner Store Curse like all the previous tenants. It seems to be pretty popular so far, so I’m crossing my fingers for em. That being said, if they’re «World Famous», how come I’ve never heard of Didi’s before? But again, maybe I’m just that much of a shut-in. I wouldn’t be surprised, seeing as how I only recently learned the difference between Kurt Russell and Russell Crowe.
