Cheng’s Liquor Store

This liquor store is a repeated disappointment, but it is the closest to my house so I occasionally go there. The last time I went I bought 2 bottles of $ 10 wine, and upon leaving the store one of the bottles suddenly exploded in the bag. I didn’t drop it, I didn’t hit it against anything. I was maybe 50 feet from the enterance. People on the street said to go back, and ‘you’ll get another one for sure’.
When I went back in the owners refused and pointed to a ‘Absolutely no returns on broken bottles’ sign… leading me to wonder how often this happens. I was left holding a dripping bag of broken glass.
I don’t understand how this happened or why, but I thought their reaction was rude. I will never shop there again.
