Boulevard Cafe

I come here cuz it’s the only café I can find nearby my space that has internet for stuff i need when i’m working (music space=no internet). It’s gross though. really gross. loud. no ambiance. just a bunch of guys working and moving stuff around the café all day long in their jogging pants. bathroom is nasty. just… COME ON GUYS! It’s a bit decrepit. Get it together

Ew. Gross. Not happy at all with this place. Just ordered there for the first time and here are the issues.
1. Took 1 ½ hours to deliver.
2. I ordered the supreme crêpe, and it was filled with air, with a few strawberries and bananas on the side. (Pretty sure it’s supposed to be inside the crêpe).
3. The tomato mozz panini IS NOT a panini. The ciabatta bun it was on wasn’t even grilled. And it was gross.
3. The salad is wilted.
THE WORST!!!

2 hour wait time for delivery, no explanation. Food was not memorable.

Delivery estimate was 30 – 45 minutes. Called to see where delivery guy was at around the hour mark and they said he should arrive any minute. Waited until 1h30 to let them know he hasn’t arrived yet. Asked to see if they could call him but they couldn’t get in touch with him. They refunded my order and said that my food was still on the way.
2 hours later– it never arrived.
UPDATE: it arrived 2 hours 23 minutes after when I already had to leave home.

Tried this place out a few days ago and ordered a fresh juice and quesadilla. They served it on pita bread instead of a normal tortilla and it was mushy. Took forever to get the food and my juice came after asking like 4 times. Place was Bohemian and cute and the gelato they carry looks appetizing. Took my husband there later in the day and he ordered a turkey panini and it never came. He was pissed and we ended up walking out. The place has potential but it has a long way to go. We won’t be back anytime soon.

SIDE of Flies? Yes I wrote flies and not fries. The side and main salad had hair, dirt and flies in it. The sandwich was missing the main chipotle sauce as an ingredient so it was tasteless. I felt like I had to rinse my mouth with rubbing alcohol afterwards.

My new go to for breakfast delivery in Bushwick. The omelette is delicious and the portions are decent. The orange juice tasted off but I did order on a 90 degree day so it being slightly warm didn’t help. All and all, I will order again.

Great eggs, great juices, and my usual Sunday Delviery!

Während meines Auslandssemesters war das Boulevard Café definitiv mein Favorit.
Es gibt dort den besten Bagel in New York.
Das Café ist von außen unscheinbar, aber innen gemütlich. Ich war dort öfters und die Bedienung war jedes mal super nett. Die Preise sind absolut im Rahmen, Bagel mit zwei Rühreiern und Bacon ca. $ 5.
Der Kaffee ist auch wirklich sehr gut.
Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen :-)

My girlfriend and I’s omelet’s were fairly decent, however the experience was overall lacking. The premises was dirty, unkempt, and disorganized. The barista managed to mess up our simple order, and we also found a long brown hair in our croissant. Not appetizing, to say the least. The backyard, though breezy and sunny is an eyesore. Trash, mopeds, and boxes are strewn about the area. We did not have high expectations but not even those were met. I will not return.

I haven’t been back in a very long time because every time i’m at this café I come out smelling like bacon – they have horrible ventilation, which is a pity because I actually like their food.
They’re very generous with cookies. Once a hostess gave me eight cookies instead of the four I ordered because my order took too long!
The wifi is free, and they don’t care if you stay to work even on weekends. Only downside is that in the winter it’s cold no matter where you sit! I imagine the garden out back will be nice in the spring/​summer… I have yet to check it out.

This place smells funky and they take FOREVER to make tasteless food. I don’t understand the abundance of positive reviews. Just look at this bagel! It’s a crime against gluten!

Terrible. Waited 3 hours for delivery after they told me 15 minutes an hour and a half ago.
Just close if you can’t tell the truth.

I’ve been going to this place for years, and it was great under the old management. It recently got new owners, and the quality has gone down, unfortunately.
I was trying to reserve judgement but I’ve been there a handful of times since the transfer of ownership to get take out and to sit down, and every time– they forgot my order completely, or forgot something in the order, or mixed them up. Once or twice is fine, it’s a laid back place, but everytime is too much.
That being said, I like that they introduced credit card machines, seamless and juice bar, but they really need to get their organization skills together. Food is still decent if they remember to make it.
It’s a bummer, because it’s my preferred local café with seating (other then Jessi’s down the street). Also, that mural is really really terrible and unappetizing.

Sunday morning. Not very busy. I ask for a latte and scallion cream cheese bagel. 5 people are fumbling behind the counter and still get my order wrong 15 minutes later. Come on people, I know it’s Brooklyn, but get it together! Thank GOD they take cards, otherwise it would be only a one star review.

I was already a fan of this place but now they have a new menu. I’m guessing they are under new management/​owners. So excited to try their new stuff! I took away one star because I ordered two sandwiches to go, but they didn’t give me the house salad on the side that should be included. Also I asked for no cheese but they also forgot to leave that out. I will give them another try though.

I am glad to try one more outstanding restaurant in Bushwick! I had the Grilled chicken chipotle and it was excellent. Life is great when I can find all these great places to eat. I am just planning my next visits in the future because I want to taste everything in the menu, next stop, it is gonna be the baked eggs. They have a few different styles of baked eggs.

Such a wonderful place. The food is amazing, so many nice choices and fresh ingredients. I just can recommend this place.

I was staying at the Moore Hostel, and this place became my source of life every morning. The service was great, the café was small and cozy with wifi. The drinks were amazing and the food as well, and the pricing was fair.

Coming to Boulevard used to be an unpleasant experience for me because of the ice-​queen of a barista that was always working. Thankfully she’s gone now– Good riddance. New staff makes an effort to be friendly and accommodating. Sitting in the backyard having an iced americano and using their free internet is my daily ritual
Wish there were more vegetarian options. All of the food smells so good.

I’ve been here a couple times, and I’ve tried their salads which are great and their ham and cheese panini with truffle oil is amazing.
Food takes forever, but I think that’s half the charm of this place. They are not trying to take your money and get you out the door. You will see plenty of kids on their laptops taking advantage of the free wifi. It’s cute and artsy and appealing to the younger hipster crowd. I always appreciate a place that can do a simple thing very well, and serve fresh, carefully prepared sandwiches and salads at a reasonable prices.
Oh, and their coffee is better than all the hipster coffee shops in the area combined!
