Ok ya’ll know that when I write a Unilocal review it’s either absolutely amazing or so super got damn awful I have to let the public know… WELLCHILELISTENUP!!! I want to preface this first and foremost by saying I am from Los Angeles originally and have been eating Japanese food since I was 12. I have eaten spicy tuna rolls from fancy restaurants in Beverly Hills to the Jack’s Dollar store on 31st by Penn Station(seriously I did!) and everywhere in my pallet is pretty discerning and well developed. With that said THIS was DEWORSTSPICYTUNAROLL I HAVEEVERHADINMYENTIRELIFE!!!(including the rolls I had from Jacks and Duane Reed which were surprisingly pretty good)…I’M NOTKIDDING! My coworkers and I ordered from this place today and NOONE was happy. I had the Terriyaki Salmon Bento box with a spicy tuna roll. As I am eating the Spicy tuna I’m asking myself«why is this so bad? Did I do something to deserve this?» The Spicy Tuna was not at all spicy, and the tuna tasted stale and old as did the seaweed and the rice and the tempura sprinkle… like what did I eat?!? It was what you would imagine the food display of this lunch to taste like after it’s been in the display window for 2 days! The salmon portions were really small and even though I specifically asked for low sodium soy sauce, I got none instead. That’s right, no soy sauce for the spicy tuna roll. As a matter of fact, there was no soy sauce in ANYONE’s lunch! There was an order of Hibachi scallops that came with 3 small pieces of scallops, and there was an order of Hibachi chicken that came with dry chicken. NOTONEPERSON was happy with their order! To not be a jerk I called the restaurant to say«hey, we were not happy with the order and were missing soy sauce» and the chick on the phone says«oh you must have made a mistake because the soy sauce was in there. Someone else must have taken it». I said«my spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all» She said” that’s how we normally make it because people don’t like it spicy. If you want it to be spicy you have to let us know.” O_O Can you PLEASETELLMEWHYDAHELLDOYOUCALLIT A SPICYTUNAROLLIFITISNOTSPICY?!? LORDBLACKBABYJESUS I CAN’T!!! So I say” might we get a discount on our next order” She says” Oh we don’t give discounts because that’s how we normally make our food. Sorry you don’t like it” So maybe it’s me and my overly developed pallet for Japanese food because I see this place has better reviews from other people… and cheap sushi is always worth a try… but here you really do get what you pay for. Like they are NOT trying give you quality… maybe the quality is based on how much you pay and when you eat there. Like if you come in they say” oh she looks like she had sushi before, make it good” as opposed to calling on the phone from our ghetto office address«oh they in da ghetto, it won’t matter how we make the food because they don’t know better». That must be the case because it looks like everyone else who wrote good reviews go to Fordham and are closer to the restaurant in the better neighborhoods. WESHOULDGETTHEGOODFOODJUSTLIKEEVERYBODYELSEDAMMIT!!! IJS #allneighborhoodsmatter

If you’re a Fordham student and you’re looking for good Sushi, Sake is definitely the way to go. The delivery is always really fast and they have never gotten my order wrong. The actual sushi is pretty fresh and is a decent serving size. Much better than umai and faster delivery! I recommend the Maki alevosía as well as their special rolls– delicious! Defintely my go to

I was in NY for work and staying in the bronx, and everyone I asked said that I couldn’t find any good spots for sushi. I was glad I found this place nearby the airbnb I was staying in. I ordered a sample of different sushi and sashimi, and I was surprised in how it was really fresh and delish. I ordered on another night when a few friends came for the weekend and they also ordered hibachi. The loved the food. The fried rice was the best I’ve had. The kicker is, they deliver even in the rain. If you’re in the area do try this place out.

I have ordered takeout from here several times, and it has always arrived quickly. I usually get the dinner combo of soup & three rolls for 11.95. I love the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy crab roll. They are definitely my favorites. I tried the calamari tempura roll once, and it was pretty good also. The chicken fried rice is quite good too. I always enjoy my meals from Sake II, so if you’re in the Little Italy area of the Bronx and want sushi, give this place a try.

Wow. It feels good to have found a local sushi spot with really good food. I purchased dinner from here a few days ago and I must say I was very impressed. I never wanted to eat here before because from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, but the other day I was proved wrong. Good food and good prices. Can’t wait until next payday to eat here again.

I used to LOVE this place, service has slowly been declining, the lady that calls back once the online order has been received is rude and their new delivery rule is NUTS. The delivery minimum went from $ 20 to a whooping $ 30 + a mandatory $ 5 tip. $ 30 worth of food for 1 person is ridiculous. I love sushi, but it’s just not worth it anymore. The spicy crunchy rolls are never spicy, bubble tea is always delivered burning hot, just sub-par.

I Discovered This On Unilocal I Was Craving Sushi & When I Checked The Menu I Was Pleased. I Actually Ordered The Chicken & Shrimp Teriyaki Which Was Amazing. Didn’t Really Care For The Soup. But Delivery Was Fast & He Was Very Nice. I Will Be Coming Back & Referring Friends & Family

Order hear all the time, last night I had the shrimp and beef teriyaki which has given me the worst food poisoning of my life. Never again. I wouldn’t wish this food poisoning on my worst enemy

The service could’ve been better in many ways. Since I dine in many restaurants, common things like water or the offer of a beverage is an automatic thing but in this case it was not. The presentation of the appetizers and the main course needed a lot of work. I’m accustomed to being served in a small teapot when being served tea, in this case I was served in one ceramic cup and the tea was lukewarm and was not offered a refill. Since this was a test trial, we spent about $ 80 to get the full feel of what’s on the menu, it was okay and still not sure if I would go back. Overall I believe the restaurant has lots of room to improve, best of luck

I came here to pick up when I was craving sushi and saw the low lunch special prices. I don’t think I would order delivery or sit and eat in there based on the reviews. They do seem to get a lot of delivery and takeout business. While waiting I watched the guy make rolls and wondered if he knew he was frowning the whole time. The cashier seemed friendly though. I ordered shrimp teriyaki and it was so good I came back for salmon teriyaki a few days later, also good. The lunch specials were under $ 9 and very filling. It is also right by Artuso’s Bakery which is a definite plus.

I was not pleased with what I had delivered. I ordered the lunch special vegetable tempura. It was soggy and tasteless. It had one brocoli, one carrot, one eggplant(I think) and some other tempura I could not identify. Other people ordered shrimp tempura and it came with TWO shrimps. Really? It came with white rice and miso soup. Nothing to say about white rice the miso soup was blechh! I have had

Pretty good and CHEAP! Now, this is a spot you go get takeout or a quick lunch. I would not recommend it for a hot date. For $ 6.95, you get 2 rolls, a salad and miso soup… not bad right? The seating is a bit cramped and the service is ehhh… I got my rolls quick and they tasted fine. My issue though, turn on a radio or something. It was a bit awkward eating and hearing myself and the sushi chef breathing. Overall, I would be back, but it’s not a spot I would run to.
