Chick N Ribs

I rarely order outside of my comfort zone but I wanted to try this place, I was not disappointed. I ordered chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, and sweet potato mashed potatoes (they didn’t have regular mash). The mac and cheese are good they’re not the best I’ve ever had but they taste good. The sweet mashed potato taste good also. But the star of the show is definitely the chicken, and the ribs are pretty amazing as well. Their barbecue sauce taste so good (I was worried it would be spicy but it wasn’t) it was perfect. The brownie I had was amazing. I’ll definitely be ordering again (delivery took about 45 minutes).

Nom nom nom. I ordered for delivery only, a little bit slow but totally worth it. My dad love their chicken so tender yet not soaked in water… chewy meaty whole chicken. The ribs are also very excellent. My only complaint is they closed too early 8pm… sometimes I ordered at 9 and I realized they closed… sad for 2 min lol

I cannot believe there’s a great rib joint in the Bronx, possibly one of the best ribs in NYC. All I have to say don’t judge a book by its cover because this place looks like a hole in the wall but the food is amazing and fresh.

This place was good. But they have certainly fallen off. The lady who takes your order over the phone always has an attitude. Never seems happy to take delivery orders. Third time I call and says they have no chicken. HOW THE HELL DO YOU CALL YOURSELVES CHICK AND RIBS AND HAVE NO CHICKEN? Wait time has gotten worse. Told me two hours for delivery. After the third time enough is enough. Close your doors. You obviously don’t know how to manage this place and fire whomever is in charge of inventory.

Just received my food and I could not wait to write a review. Wow!!! I finally found a bbq restaurant in the Bronx that’s absolutely amazing!!! Stop reading this review and order your food!!! That’s how good the food is The mashed potatoes are out of this world! Collard greens are delicious!!! Ribs are super tender (falls off the bone) and chicken is perfect with the bbq sauce! My new favorite spot!!!

The ribs and gold/​bbq wings with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes we ordered was so delicious. Ribs were fall of the bone tender, wings were crispy on the outside juicy inside, the sauce was on point for both. The mac and cheese was creamy and thick. The mashed potatoes tasted like homemade with real potatoes instead of the store bought flakes. Only thing is they raised the prices so much. We got the half ribs and 2 dozen wings special that comes with 2 medium sides and a 2 liter soda and it was $ 40! This can feed four but that’s at $ 10 a meal, which is pricey for the Bronx.

Been ordering from them since we moved here in the bronx. I love their ribs. The sauce is really good. Service is fast. Delivery is on the slow side but that’s ok because their food is always freshly cooked when delivered. And the portions are huge!

The most amazing ribs I’ve ever tasted. The meat literally fell off the bone! Very tender meat and full of flavor. I would definitely order from them again.
Also had the mac and cheese and was the best I’ve ever tasted. I’m usually not a fan of M&C but this was made from scratch. Very creamy. Very fresh and very Yum.

I came in today to try it out and I ended up loving the charbroiled ribs! I am saving my fifth star for my next order but the coleslaw was tasty, crunchy veggies and not soggy and I like the tinge of sweetness on it.

Yay! Great ribs in the Bronx. I’ve been struggling to find decent ribs since champion chicken closed. Chick and Ribs did not disappoint me in any way. I had the half rack ribs with Mac N Cheese with mashed potatoes. The ribs were well seasoned and fall off the bone tender, the Mac N Cheese was creamy and delish (with a little added salt and the mashed potatoes were on point as well. Ok, it’s time to talk serious business… The Brownie. I brought one and started dancing and she sent me home with two. Thank God because my husband kept asking for a «tiny piece» every two seconds and I would hate to divorce him over a brownie. Chick and Ribs is alright with me and I will be back for the delicious bbq and friendly service.

We ordered from here once and it was good. The second time we wanted to order, they told us they were closed. It was Saturday, at 8:10pm. Yet their menu states that they close at 9:00pm. Why answer the phone if you are claiming to be closed? It’s hard to support small businesses when they don’t support their customers. False advertisement sometimes says a lot about a business. We will not be ordering from them again.

Wow, Where do I start?
I ordered half a rib rack with 2 sides, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I can’t begin to tell you how good the ribs are. Literally comes right off the bone (see pictures below, try not to drool on yourself.) The meat is so soft and non chewy like. I hate fighting with my food, really impeccably done, with very little charred taste.
Second up is my favorite of all time, mac and cheese. This is no ordinary bs mac and cheese. This is the real deal «lots o love» home made mac and cheese that only grandma can make. Creamy cheese, and kraft thought they were the cheesiest. I laugh. Shell pasta cooked very well and the guy I spoke to on the phone really hooked me up. Thanks brother !
Tres. Mashed potatoes. Nothing out of the ordinary, really good, but mash is mash. Gravy was eh. No complaints don’t get me wrong. It was a lot better then typical food joints. I’m just not a big fan of mash as compared to Mac and cheese.
4. I ordered a fish sandwich just because I’m a fat ass. No I’m not I’m just kidding. Far from it but my appetite is ridiculous. Again, nothing too fancy aside from it actually looks like someone put effort into making a good sandwich. Always add cheese. Never any tomatoes.
All in all:
This place is well known for its chicken and ribs (hence the name). Portion sizes are GREAT. When my food was delivered, The bag felt like a lot of food, You definitely get what you pay for.
The dude on the phone was super cool. Literally gave me my food for 25 bucks cause I had no more small change. So basically he knocked off 2 bucks, which was cool, not a lot of places care.
This was my first time ordering, definitely not my last !

P.S be wary menu prices have changed, I ordered the half ribs with 2 sides which is now 15 – 16 dollars. Still worth it!

Like others have said, this is a hidden gem BBQ place in the Bronx!
Pretty much everything I have tried from their menu is good but my favorite has to be ribs. They are so incredibly tender and the meat just falls off! Incredible! (And I have ordered it a couple of times already — always like that). Their chicken is very solid too and their pita pan. Of the sides, Mac-​n-​Cheese and the baked beans are my favorite. I have yet to try their brownies! I’m certainly going to keep ordering from here.

Wow it was so great! I never knew this place existed until I did a search for Bronx BBQ on Unilocal.I have to say that the food was AWESOME! We had one of the family value plans, and it came with ½ chicken, 6 ribs, and 12 BBQ wings. It came with 3 large sides. We had the collard greens, mashed sweet potatoes, and corn. We wanted Mac & Cheese but they ran out by the time we arrived. And it came with a 2 liter soda. The total was 40 dollars.
1. The ribs were so tender and smoky. I would have never thought there were ribs this good in the Bronx!
2. The wings were heavenly! Crispy and juicy — god they were addictive!
3. We didn’t like the ½ chicken. It didn’t come with any kind of sauce and was a little dry.
4. The collard greens were YUMMY!!!
5. The mashed sweet potatoes were good but my husband didn’t like them too much. I thought they were good
6. The corn was tasty too!
The Verdict: SOOOOO GOOD!!! We will be back for more and we are dying to try the Mac & Cheese! I don’t think there is anywhere in the bronx to get great bbq that feeds a family if four for 40 dollars!

My friend and I were watching a movie on the couch, and when it mentioned BBQ, I went: «We have to go get some.» So, finally went to check this spot out.
Even for a rainy day, the staff here were pleasant (and funny!!) and courteous. We were watching TV as we waited for the food, and the girls joined in with comments.
I split my flavors for a dozen wings, which they did at no charge which was very helpful. Got some to feed a group of 5, and it was decently priced. I’m not crazy about barbecue, but the ribs were lip-​smacking good and the buffalo wings had a nice kick. I need to try the honey flavor. The Mac and cheese was to dieeeeee for.
UH I ALSO HAVE TO SECOND THE BROWNIE. For $ 1.50 you cannot leave behind the fudgiest, most delicious chocolate treat behind. The girl joked and said I should get two– I didn’t, but she was RIGHT.
Definitely stop by!

Lawd yes. Had a whole chicken, beans, collard greens, mac and cheese, and a brownie.
The chicken is legit. I picked up a drumstick and the meat immediately and completely fell off of it, leaving me pleasantly surprised and holding just a bone. Tender, a bit salty, some taste of char, and a touch on the dry side. BBQ sauce does what it came to do — adequate; not the star of the show.
BBQ beans are delicious. Clearly homemade, filled with little bits of pork and onions.
Collard greens don’t have any sweetness, and are a bit gritty, which is definitely to my taste.
Mac and cheese on the creamy side, but the flavor is spot on.
The brownie brings it all home. Forges a lasting peace between fudgy and cakey. You won’t notice yourself eating all sixteen square inches of it while your spouse makes a face, because you will be on a spiritual journey.
This feast served two, *with significant leftovers* for $ 21. I will shortly be moving to the Bronx.

Anywho, I haven’t even finished my meal yet but I absolutely had to review this place. I ordered half ribs with mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and cornbread.
The mac & cheese is ridiculously creamy, the mashed potatoes are creamy and the right amount of garlicky, the cornbread is a mighty big chunk which is unfortunate since its rather dry. But those ribs… Oh man! Super juicy, fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce is delicious. I despise that this is close to home because now I’ll want to order everyday.
Bonus: I ordered over the phone and the girl was super friendly. Even the delivery guy was nice after being given the wrong number to reach me at.
