These are the WORST cupcakes and here’s why– at $ 3 per cupcake they are not worth it. the icing is commercial icing. If you’re going to buy these you might as well go to Sams– they are $ 15 for 30. Seriously I was soooo disappointed. A cupcake shop should have homemade icing. THESETASTELIKEGROCERYSTORECUPCAKES.

I’ve been here twice now, and I really adore this place. The first time, I got a cookie sandwich, which was yummy and huge. I was splitting it with my mom, and we could barely finish it. We also each got a little«shot» of frosting. Basically, you just pick one of their frostings they put some in a plastic«shot glass» for you to eat. Their frosting is VERY sweet, but I love that, so this was a hit for me. Most recently, I had their Lemon the Dream cupcake. The cake was very moist and delicious. Again, very sweet frosting, so beware if you don’t like that. I have a major sweet tooth, so it works for me.

Never thought I’d say this, but there is such a thing as too much frosting. But I still love NYGC’s cupcakes. Appreciate the creative flavor combos, the friendly service, and the peppy décor. Also like the size of the cupcakes — not too large and not too small.

I got two cupcakes: Cha-Cha-Cherry Cheesecake & Save Second Base. The cherry cheesecake is pretty self-explanatory. The filling in the middle of the cupcake was a plus. The Save Second Base was very good! Strawberry cupcake, strawberry frosting, strawberry filling, just, STRAWBERRY everything! A piece of candy on top as well. & for the record, I went to their food truck that was located Downtown Tulsa, not at the store in Broken Arrow. Maybe I need to go to the store to try their Maple Bacon cupcake!

These cupcakes were gorgeous but some how lacking a bit for taste. They were either too light or just not quite flavorful enough for our preferences. The selection is great though.

They have good flavors and nice variety. Some of them are very sweet. A few of the ones I have tried have been a little dry. Over all its a nice place and a good local cupcake shop with some unique flare.

Cupcakes couldn’t be any yummier. I’ve had pumpkin, turtle, chocolate, and bacon. The staff was also axing when I needed to amend a large order I placed. So quick and helpful. Recommend for any parties/holiday. Adorable designs! Will be back!

The place is adorable and the owner and staff are very friendly. The Oreo cupcake was actually pretty tasty. All of the cupcakes are piled HIGH with super sweet buttercream frosting, so be prepared for a sugar bomb or to scrape some off. The cupcakes themselves are doctored up boxed mix. Not bad, but definitely not something I couldn’t make myself. Overall, there are better cupcakes in Tulsa. Probably won’t be back here.

A friend of mine had been telling me to come try this place for awhile now and after finding Cupcakes By Lu on 81st and Harvard I wasn’t sure about trying anyone else again. My daughter and I happen to be in the area so we decided to give them a try. We ordered the peanut butter cupcake, the cinnamon roll cupcake and the turtle one. The cupcakes are decorated nicely and are very pretty. The cinnamon roll had a nice flavor but the cake was very heavy and the icing… WAY to much and WAY to sweet! The peanut butter one had a peanut butter cup baked in the bottom(nice touch) and a good peanut butter flavor in the icing but again, very heavy and very sweet. The turtle was good but again. the frosting. If I remember reading correctly on their website these are doctored up cake mixes with some flair. They have the right concept but unless you like VERY sweet, cream cheese frosting piled high on a dense cupcake then this won’t be your place. I wanted to like it but a normal person will probably be able to only eat one cupcake, won’t finish the icing and will have to have something to drink or you’ll have the cake stuck in your throat. I will have to stick with my Cupcakes By Lu on 81st and Harvard where the cake is moist and airy and the frosting is light as a feather and slightly sweet.(reminds me of whip cream) I can honestly sit down and eat 3 of her cupcakes at one sitting and want more. They are melt in your mouth good!!! Sorry Not Your Grandmothers Cupcakes iI wanted to like you but I’ll have to pass.

This place is great. They did some 80’s themed cupcakes for my wife Bday and they were awesome.

I LOVE cupcakes, so I really wanted to love this place. After walking in, you’re immediately hit with the deliciously sweet smell of icing. The cupcakes are all adorably decorated, which made it hard to choose. We finally decided, but on the way home, the cupcakes started to melt(we live less than 5 miles away from the store, so if you’re taking home cupcakes, you may want to keep that in mind)!! We get home and immediately start digging into the cupcakes. Sadly, the first bite I had of the cupcake included a piece of plastic. It looked like a corner of the plastic bags ready-to-make cake mixes are in, which makes me wonder if they even make these cupcakes from scratch…

This is my favorite place for cupcakes in BA! The key lime pie is my favorite. The cupcakes change daily, so there is always a surprise waiting for you when you enter the door!
