I’m fresh from dinner, so the review is pretty raw. Dinner was delicious. It arrived quickly and definitely tasted excellent. I’m not sure if it was just our server, but the service for our table was awful. Our server took our drink order then came back only to give us the bill. I could see her checking in to at other tables, but obviously we were the forgotten one. I would go back for the food, but if the service was anything similar I would give it a miss. Every one has an off night, so hopefully this was it for them.

The two us dined on a Tuesday evening in October and we used a Groupon. I ordered the evening’s special offering, the Veal & Gnocchi and my wife ordered the Veal Masala with roasted vegetables. The suburban setting is nice but no wow factor décor. Upon arriving, we were nicely greeted by the hostess and she walked us to a table in the front room. For a Tuesday night, they had about 20 diners in a second room. Perhaps this was a corporate meeting? The front room had five other tables occupied. Our server was Christine and she was wonderful and attentive. She made suggestions and helped us made good food decisions … once she heard what we might like to order. My wife really liked her meal and I got to sample it too. Delicious! Mine was very good. The next time I return, I would like to try the Saltimbocca. Christine told us this one the Veal & Gnocchi are very popular diner orders. The very pleasant Hostess came over to see how we were enjoying ourselves and asked if she do anything for us. Later, we learned from Christine that she has happily worked here for seventeen years. I am purposely mentioning this because a few reviewers have expressed some negativity about the service. Our experience for our first time here was wonderful. We noted the other servers were attentive to their tables. The diner cost for our two meals with glass of wine for each of us and the tip totaled approximately $ 74.

We hadn’t been here in several years but bought a groupon and came last Saturday night. We made a reservation for 6PM, arrived on time and we were seated immediately. We split a caesar salad to start and my wife ordered the ravioli stuffed with squash as an entrée and I ordered a special, veal brazole with gnocchi. The salad came out quickly, delivered by the bus boy. Our entrees weren’t brought to us for more than 45 minutes and they were again brought by the bus boy. The server never stopped to tell us when the food would be out and unforetunately didn’t stop after the food was delivered to check on us either. My wife said hers was very good. my brazil was quite good(not very much to the portion but it was good) The gnocchi seemed to have been made perfectly, unfortunately it was served luke warm. I ate it anyway since I was really quite hungry by this time. When the server finally came to clear the plates i told her that the gnocchi was cold and when I told her that she wasn’t anywhere in sight to get it warmed she just looked at me. I asked for the check and gave the server the groupon. She brought the check with the groupon credited and I gave her a credit card to pay the bill. She ran another tables check on my credit card instead of my check. I called her over and she laughed and took the wrong credit card slip back and brought out a new credit card bill for me to sign and a crumpled piece of paper that she said was the reversal of the incorrect charge. I asked to see either Benny or the manager. She(the server) didn’t like that and said«Benny isn’t available right now». I said fine I want to see the manager. I had to repeat that 3 or 4 times and she rolled her eyes and went away. The manager(at least the young woman that came over said she was the manager) came over and I repeated everything that had gone on to her. She got something else printed out from the credit card printer and brought it over to me and I signed the tab and we left. She, the manager, repeated several times that she hoped we would come back again and give them another try. I don’t think that we will be back. The server was just plain bad. The food was good but what we ordered shouldn’t take 45+ minutes to come out and certainly the food that was cold shouldn’t have been. There are a lot of other options in the area for very good Italian food. It simply isn’t worth the aggravtion to come back here again, particularly with a server that thinks it’s appropriate to roll her eyes.

I had the Frutti di Mare over Linguine(Fresh littlenecks, mussels, and shrimp over imported linguine with fra diavolo saude… amazing. Loaded with seafood. Only thing that would have made it better was a little more linguine, but hey I took half my dish home and added it the next day. Our waitress was a little frazzled as there were maybe 20 tables and only 2 waitresses working that evening(plus the bar staff). Oh the eggplant app is amazing too! Towards the end of our dinner we had some nice live music too. It was lovely even with sitting right next to the stage. Overall I will be back!

Being a Brockton resident, I must have driven by «Tutto Bene» hundreds of times but never stopped in. This day — a Saturday afternoon — we decided — why not? Driving up — there is ample parking. Walking in, we are clearly the second party of the day — I think it was 3 pm not sure on that. The décor was gorgeous, more lovely that I had anticipated. A hustling server sprinted right past us without making eye contact… She was doing side-work preparing for a busy Saturday night. We looked, and there were no less than 7 employees standing at the bar area located in the back of the room, they were chewing. and sharing food with one another. Having worked in the food industry for many years — i was surprised they would eat out in the open like that… We chuckled a little as first they had pizza they shared, then a few minutes later– some meatballs. I guess its good that the help likes the food at least. All the while, we are still standing. FINALLY — a waitress comes over — chewing — and sits us down at a table with 2 menus. They seem to have a bit of everything… Really nice menu, very impressive. The bread came over with a humus/olive oil dip that was delicious. The bread itself was very fresh. We got our drinks,(had i known then that I would not receive another one — I would have paced myself.) We ordered a salad, which was very fresh, and cold. Then ordered chicken saltimbocca, and chicken parmesean. As we waited for our food — we noticed the owner(we presumed him to be the owner) standing now with his group of employees at the bar — going over the specials and other pre-shift issues as is common in the«biz». My Coke was empty… and my server — was eating, and sitting with her back to us. as More customers came in — a young man was bringing bread to the tables near us — chewing every time. Again — this is almost unheard of in a restaurant. That being said — we continued to wait, and I continued to hope to make eye contact with our server to no avail. We finally get our food — which LOOKED fantastic… my plate of chicken parm — the plate itself was very hot — the chicken saltimbocca — was very hot(plate was not) — I summized that mine was done first so they kept it hot while finishing the saltimbocca — not uncommon. Unfortunately — it took any crispiness of the chicken away. IF you’re a chicken parm person like I am — you enjoy the crispiness of the chicken, as well as the gooeyness of the cheese. Aside from the texture — the chicken parm was exceptional in taste. The Saltimbocca was also good. Unfortunately — once she dropped our food off, we never saw our waitress again until it was time for the check. And even then, her back was to us and one of the large throng of employees munching at the bar saw us grilling the back of her head, got her attention and sent her over to us. We left feeling generally happy with the food. the portions, price, presentation and flavor were all above our expectations. The service, however… left a lot to be desired. We thought that being 2 of 4 people in the entire restaurant we would get even BETTER service than normal… instead — we were almost an inconvenience as we were interrupting their meal time and side work. For my hard earned money, ill take service — as I feel like at least they appreciate my business. I’m in no rush to return. If ever.

Stumbled across this gem last week. Everything from the pasta to the bread is made in house. The food and service were both excellent. The consistency and flavor of gnocchi was perfect. And we were serenaded buy an amazing keyboardist while we feasted. I say go here for dinner or you’re missing out.

First off all the sandwiches here are unbelievably amazing! Right down to the French fries that are served with the sandwiches are perfect! I wish they were open for lunch… They are also very accommodating when it comes to food allergies which is always a plus. The service is either a hit or miss here. I’ve been in here and had the best service, while other times the service was awful. Lastly I’d stay away from the pizza it’s not that good. Defiantly will be back.

Simply AWESOME ! Food, service and wine list are all top notch. Just moved here from NY…, we are used to great Italian restaurants… Finally found our «go-to» restaurant. If you haven’t gone there yet and you like great Italian food in a great atmosphere., you’re truly missing out. They take reservations for easy convenience. Everything is freshly made including the pasta which is homemade. Dessert options are wonderful and also home made. I had a veal dish and I must say the veal was perfect

This place is my new obsession. Their food is always so good. The place is adorable and clean. The wait staff friendly and helpful. Short ribs, yum. We ordered the cannoli dessert… The filling was a dip. And it was alright. Never had a bad meal! Pasta? Love!

I was searching for a place I could go sit and eat a decent meal. I am a cook Sunday through Thursday so when Friday rolls around I am looking for a break. So I jumped on my Unilocal app and decided on Italian, this place came up. I read the reviews and read enough to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and I have to say that everything was stellar. The Scallop and Shrimp Mac n Cheese starter was superb! I would have that as a main entrée if it were bigger =) My Ketel One martini was awesome! The Clam and Mussels Fra Diavolo on homemade linguine was fabulous! My son had the Parm Chicken on freshly made pasta and he ate it all. Need I say more? Well, actually I am already looking forward to the next time! The service was friendly, and on time. The bar tender was on top of our needs without being intrusive. Nice!

We came here with a Groupon. The food was solidly good. We had the baked polenta. It was quite good. Our meals were good. Service was quite good too. My guy had the braciole. He was happy with it. The prices were reasonable. The vibe in the restaurant is suburban. I would go back

We went for the first time with a goupon but we will be back for sure. The food was north end worthy. I had chicken Marsala. I order it a lot but this was the best I had. The service was friendly. Who knew a strip mall restaurant would be so good.

Excellent service and a littel noisy. This would be a nice place for a large group. Filling up even for a tues night. The half rack of ribs were meaty but dry. The roasted vegetables were a little overcooked. Loved the bread an dipping sauce. I was not a fan of the bolognese but companion thought it was great.

Lived in Brockton for 18 years and I’ve never been to Pasta/tutto bene. Affer a recent Living social, I decided to finally give it a try. I was extremely happy with my food. I got 2 small plates so I could try two things. As every has stated, the butternut squash is AMAZING. I also tried the eggplant rollatini, AMAZING. I’m sad i didnt make it here before I did. Bread and oil/hummus were delish. I will be back sooner than later!

Great food! Fun Wednesday night trivia! The bar is nice. The rest of the restaurant could use an ambiance makeover but that doesn’t keep me from going back. Good local restaurant to instead of a chain restaurant.

I have been a Pasta Bene(and now a Tutto Bene) fan for quite some time. The food is very, very good. I entertain people here in Brockton every now and then, and when the subject of where to eat locally comes up, Tutto Bene is the one and only answer. You cannot match the food, the service, and the ambiance anywhere else in Brockton(as well as the surrounding area.) There is a generous menu of dishes, ranging from the Italian, to the Italian-influenced, to more contemporary American dishes, along with lots of specials. So every visit feels like there’s something new going on here. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive, even when the crowd swells to capacity on a weekend night. And the owner is always there, which to me, is the sign of a very good restaurant. Perhaps the nicest thing about Tutto Bene is the fact that it caters to a variety of dining experiences. It can be a ‘split a pizza at the bar with some nice beer” place, or an ‘appetizers and wine by the glass’ bistro. But where it shines is as a full-course dining experience. I’m glad that we have a restaurant of this caliber in Brockton. Without Tutto Bene, I don’t know where I’d go for a consistently wonderful dining experience.

Disappointing… Stopped by this evening around 7pm. Bread was put on the table with a plate of dip and olive oil. We expected the dip to have some type of garlic explosion to top our bread but was surprisingly disappointed. The dip was TASTELESS, so much so that I had to ask what it was. The waitress said Cannellini bean dip. Their try at hummus… no wonder it had no taste. Is Hummus Italian… Give me garlic, oil etc. etc… I’ve had better Chicken Marsala… couldn’t taste any sweet Marsala at all. very bland… even the mushrooms hadn’t absorbed Marsala. The chicken also looked and tasted like it was cooked separately and added to the dish… definitely not pan seared medallions. Hard to believe Kathy’s Gnocchi was made in-house also. Been cooking homemade Gnocchi forever, no way these floated to the top of any pan of boiling water… We know what el dante is… these were hard. Served Martinis in warm Manhattan glasses… Like my martini glass chilled, thought that was standard at any bar… Traditional Martini glasses are designed to be chilled easily… so what if they break… should have them. Cappuccino was cold… how do u make cappuccino with frothed milk and be cold? I didn’t drink it at all. Ordered Tiramisu but they were out of that. Heard so much about this place… but it turned out to be a little less than average and disappointing for an Italian… Wanted so much to find a local Italian place we liked. The service was fine and the waitress was pleasant. Don’t think we’ll be going back.
