Flava Jamaica Restaurant

I’ve been back to this spot 2 nights in a row excellent service, the BEST Jamaican food in the area, very friendly staff. I love the vibe inside very chill and laid back. It’s a must if you’re looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine!

Have yet to disappoint no matter what we order. Spicy sticky chicken is one of their best items! Would recommend to anyone in the area, by far the best Jamaican food in Brockton!

We weren’t sure what to expect but went straight off of Unilocalers reviews. Oh my goodness! This was one fantastic lunch. We had no idea what to order and the ordering process was a little haphazard but once we got our order in it was smooth sailing from there… if this is what Jamaicans eat every day… they are extremely lucky! Our jerk chicken was delectable… fall off the bones with just the right amount of spice. The curried chicken was perfectly proportional and sumptuous. The rice had a little sauce on top and it was just enough to leave you full and not overfull.
Jamaican flare for the win!

Stopped in tonight to get some takeout. I went on the recommendation of other Unilocalers– that and my late night options in Brockton are limited. The chicken I got was moist, spicy and delicious. The rice was even better– so so so flavorful. Usually places treat rice as an afterthought, but here it really was the star– a bit like I suspect it is in the Caribbean.
I’ll come here anytime I have a craving for some Jamaican!

I was in Jamaica this past April and the Resort had a Chicken shack. When I had the Flava Chicken I was right back in Jamaica. Great people, wonderful food. Super service and great pries.
Good music and I loved the subtle «verse» very heart felt and that Spirit is in their food and service!
Make it a regular stop, I am going to.

I like coming to a place that provides service with a smile. The food is so good and it’s always fresh.

The jerk pork was fantastic, best ever had, smoky and with just the right amount of kick. I could tell it was a labor of love. The curry chicken was out of this world, I’ve never had that much flavor packed into one dish. Don’t even think of not getting this dish, it’s terrific.

The place was great. Food had a nice fresh taste… not over salted and great flavor. Service was super friendly and everything looked very clean.
I had the curried chicken and I think i’ll be craving that from now on now. I overheard a quite a few customers ordering the ox tail… i’ll have to try that soon.

I seldom give five stars, but this was an easy decision. I have eaten here numerous times and the food is outstanding. Authentic Jamaican food crafted with quality ingredients from scratch made with heart and soul. Not only is the food delicious but hospitality is warm and welcoming. The owners make and serve you with a joke and a smile. I would patronize them just for the company. The restaurant is also very clean.

So happy to try this breakfast was good hoping lunch is just as good! Will complete the review soon! Love what they did to the place it is so clean and nice. Much bigger than the last place!

I was visiting family in Brockton a month ago for a funeral. We had gone shopping for an outfit and we were exhausted and hungry. My cousin who goes to school around that area recommended Flava Jamaica. At first we were disappointed because we really wanted some oxtail but we’re told that it wouldn’t be ready for another 30 minutes. The owner convinced us to get the sweet and spicy chicken. It wasn’t bad, even my mom who was reluctant about eating there was impressed. The portions were great and the service on point. It’s not the best Jamaican food that I’ve had but I would definitely recommend it.

Tried this place for the first time today, and I already can’t wait to go back and try something else. I got the jerk chicken with rice and boiled cabbage. Everything was awesome. Even my daughter, who was very apprehensive about trying Jamaican food, ended up eating her whole plate. The food was served quickly and the cooks were very friendly. One of the best restaurants in Brockton.

My coworker told me this is the best Jamaican food around. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Jerk chicken was delicious and flavorful. The portion size is generous. The meal came with rice with beans and two sides for a large. I would come back and recommend this hidden gem

This is my second take ordering take out from Flava and they don’t disappoint! My first order was jerk chicken — done right on the grill! And it was delicious. Today I ordered stewed fish– another culinary, take out master piece.
The men running the restaurant are friendly and the location is clean and inviting. I will be a regular!

I was taking my oldest son to the DMV which was a nightmare so we left and I saw this place and decided to stop in. The food is off the chain. Three guys in the kitchen holding it down and doing some wonders that my Jamaican people would be proud to see.
The curry goat was delicious and the white rice was perfect and fresh. I grabbed the jerk chicken for my wife and that was yummy as well. Great spot to stop in and try. Highly recommend.

I’ve been back here many times since they’ve opened, I work just down the street. Everyone there is always so nice and friendly. The food is delicious. I’ve had everything from the patties, to their flava wings (they make their own special sauce), and jerk chicken. They do have table seating now if you’re looking for somewhere you can sit and enjoy your meal.

The taste of the food was AMAZING (I had the sweet and spicy chicken) and the folks running the business were nice. In addition, it was my birthday the day that I went and my partner mentioned that. It was also the birthday of 1 of the men that worked there and they gave me a piece of their cake:) I have 2 suggestions that will help you in the long run.
1. Ensure that the prices you charge after ringing up meals and drinks are the same as on your flyer. We realized that there was a pricing discrepancy for an item we purchased. In addition, make sure that whoever is running the register is paying attention to the exact orders and is aware of what the prices are. Make sure to keep that transparency with your customers!
2. Also, make sure your sides are regular sized. The portion of the meat and the rice was regular, but the sides were pretty small.
I would have loved to give you a 5 but the pricing discrepancy and the sides were 2 components that you should look into improvising.

Great that Brockton has home cooking ! Jerk chicken was just peppery and enough to break my sweat, and tasty enough to make me finish every bit.
Goat was rich and meaty with nice curry and onion and cabbage to blend in. The rice was perfect– slightly oily and aromatic with the right amount of sauce.
The guys who own, operate, and cook here, are very helpful and very nice. Watching them in their kitchen, moving around the pots, bringing up the food, is a wonder! These people love this food!

Authentic Jamaican style cooking, great ambiance, friendly service!!! Food so good, I’ve been back four times in the past 7 days!
