Just tried this place for the first time today with my mother. I had a chicken sandwich that was on the special board and it really was fantastic. My mother who happens to be a very picky eater ordered the hot dog and she did NOT drown it in ketchup. So that’s saying something. I also have to make mention of how clean it was and I really love the way it’s decorated it doesn’t feel plastic or cheap.

I have visted Fresh Worx a few times, as I work right down the street. I always get the same thing and it never fails to be delicious. I have to order a small side of fries because everytime I order a regular I can’t finish it all. There pickles are not that great, but it doesn’t change the rest. Also the staff has always been super nice and friendly. Some of them know who I am just from my job and always greet me with a smile and kind words. Overall, if you are looking for a good burger, this place is not as good as five guys but better than friendlies, ruby tuesdays, and chilis. I really enjoy them and will continue to visit.

So, now to handing out pagers to let you know when to retrieve your food. I thought it was a nice touch when they brought out your food. Hard to find a clean table top tonight. I hope the food is still good!

Even though I said in my previous review that I would not return to Fresh Worx in Bristol, Chris(one of the owners) had contacted me and sent me a gift card. I appreciated that gesture — he obviously reads Unilocal reviews and cares enough to acknowledge a negative customer experience. So the wife & I stopped in last night around 6:30pm. I «played it safe» by ordering a large(10 inch) NY hot dog(which has spicy mustard & kraut). My wife went with a bacon cheeseburger, and we shared a regular order of French fries. The quality of food was better than our previous trip, my hot dog was decent. My wife’s burger was juicy, but she felt it could have been more flavorful. Not the worst burger she’s ever, but not close to the best either. Fries were alright, but a lot of the basket contained very small sized ones(don’t think my picture depicts it because the full length fries were mostly on top of the order). The wife wanted to try a soft serve Mint flavored cone they were featuring for a limited time, so I went over to the Carvel section. The counter girl was having trouble with the gift card, while I was waiting, I decided to get some Turtle flavored ice cream. Brought both ice creams back to our table, my wife liked hers, I wasn’t happy with mine. My ice cream was hard & flavorless, seemed like it had been in the freezer for some time(granted, we are in the middle of winter here in Connecticut right now, we are experiencing our coldest days of the year currently). If I had actually paid for the ice cream, I would of brought it back, but since I didn’t, it went in the trash. Should’ve went Soft Serve, like my wife. Ah, really didn’t need the calories anyway. Overall, our 2nd experience was better then our first at Fresh Worx. We might not be regular customers, but it’s off our«no go there list», at least. Since it’s local for us, that’s a good thing.

I came back to Fresh Worx to try them out again, thanks to the owner reaching out and apologizing for my horrific experience. I thought that was extremely nice on his behalf, and a complete turn-around from the first visit, where he carelessly refunded me out of his personal wallet one dollar– although he never actually checked the difference in price. I came in today and ordered a lamb gyro to go with a mixed green side salad. The gyro was warm and fresh and everything tasted the way I would have expected– fresh. The side salad was kind of a silly little joke inside a soufflé cup– dressed in some lemon dressing. I didn’t get to choose my dressing, and I would have much rather have picked it out– especially considering customers with allergies– they need to let you know that the salad comes pre-dressed, perhaps saying«would you like the lemon dressing or something else?» would be a better customer service tactic. Also, being a salad to-go, having dressing on the side instead of marinating and wilting my greens would have been ideal. The«pickle» was a disgusting, warmer than room temperature cucumber that tasted like it sat in salt. A salted warm cucumber, unfortunately, is not a pickle. The place was clean, which is nice. There were zero customers in the restaurant from the time we walked in to the time we left. I wonder if that’s a common thing, but it was a little awkward waiting in an empty restaurant during the peak of lunch time. The customer service wasn’t terrible, but it certainly was far from exemplary. Our cashier appeared bored and annoyed that we had to make her wait while reading the large(4 – 5 tv screens full) menu, typed in thin, gray print. Is this a place I’d go to regularly? Probably not. Is this a place I’d recommend? Not exactly(but I do recommend the Carvel inside). The gyro was good but just good at best. Not stellar, not worth $ 10, and they could’ve probably earned some extra credit by skipping the salty cucumber. It’s a beautiful atmosphere, the music is top 40 hits, and the menu seemingly has something for everyone, but just not me. I did get a milkshake with my meal from the carvel that is inside there. It was very very good, in fact, it was the tastiest and best part of the experience. I would come back to Fresh Worx exclusively for the Carvel.

It’s a chain restaurant, so your expectations shouldn’t be that high. Some items on the menu are great, but some(like the Cuban burger and their interpretation of Poutine) definitely miss the mark. You may also sometimes deal with a partially surly staff. They do have a halfway decent beer selection though, and they’re attached to a Carvel so that helps.

Disappointed and won’t be back. $ 24.00 for a chili dog, chicken salad, small fry and 1 drink. Everything tasted watered down… from the ranch dressing that they put on the salad, to the catsup to the soda. The chicken had too much seasoning and was cold. The fries which we had to wait for we’re lukewarm and did not taste fresh. My husband did eat his hot dog, but my salad went in the trash.

Excellent service and food! The white bean soup is killer. Everything was fresh like it said. Nothing but smile from the staff. I will defently go here again.

This is a non-review.I’ve repeatedly sent messages and asked questions, but those techniques are also not«up and running» it seems. What oil do you fry in, specifically. Do you offer baked potatoes? Do you have Real Butter available? Please respond in some way, for the public :) I appreciate it. Sorry for this appearing as a «review», but I seem to be unable to get your attention other ways, and can’t just stop in and leave likely without lunch.

Finally. Great food, clean, modern atmosphere, at a reasonable price in Bristol. Emphasis on the high quality food, variety of offerings and friendly service. Burgers, salads, soups, chili, hot dogs, healthy hot sandwiches. Local, grass fed, real lettuce not iceberg. Option for a lettuce no bun burger. Generous small fry big enough to serve 2 or 3 people and not salty. Eggplant portobello sandwich with goat cheese and roasted peppers was delicious. Picky husband loved his burger. Better than Jakes and beats Five guys oil slick. Wine and nice beer selection, reasonable prices. We will be back!

Have been for take out twice. Waited a long time for our food our first visit but this time they were pretty quick. Good burgers, mediocre fries which are a little soggy. Maybe would be better eating in the restaurant. Both times they left something out of my order so I will make sure to check the bag before I leave in the future.

Pretty good salad, large but pricey. Got the Cobb added chicken, about $ 11. Way too much dressing. Order it on the side. The burgers need something more, just can’t pinpoint it… Seasoning? The«pickle» was practically still a cucumber. The girl working was really sweet, her boss seemed like he had a stick up … Ps– great bathroom.

This was a nice spot. There was a patio area to sit at where the garage doors came up so it was like sitting outside. The prices for burgers were pretty expensive since there wasn’t fries that came with it, you had to pay for that separately. The beer shakes are a must!

First time here. You order at the counter and select a table. Food is brought to your table. Had the steak gyro sandwich with hummus as a side. My husband had the chicken gyro with fries. Both sandwiches were delicious, well seasoned meat, not dry. The Taziki on the sandwiches was yummy. Fries were good, too. Didn’t care too much for the hummus, didn’t like the Balsamic on top. There also was half a pickle on each of our plates… Not sure what that was about?! Service was good. Food didn’t take long. Clean, open atmosphere, very bright. Everything looks brand new. Definitely will go back to try other items on the menu as well as the shakes!

I went for lunch with my mom and daughter. The kids menu was great. We got a cheeseburger and fries with milk and my daughter loved it! I had to try one of the beer milkshakes and went with the blue moon. It was a nice little treat. The food was also very goo. I had the eggplant sandwich and my mom had a gyro. We were both happy! Nice atmosphere and very very clean(even the bathrooms!) After lunch carvel is right next door so we had some ice cream too!

I hate to have to update my review so quickly, but last weekend’s trip was my second time there, and all of the things I gave Fresh Worx the benefit of the doubt about the first time seems to be a more regular issue after being open for almost a month now. My food, like last time, we decent but not great. I opted for a Cuban burger with ground pork instead of getting another beef burger, which was too overcooked and dry for my taste last time. I overhead the cashier telling a customer in front of me that they cook all of their burgers well-done. No thanks. The pork burger was pretty good, but I was very disappointed by my fries for the second time. They were too soft and almost soggy, with not enough seasoning or flavor. If they could get their fries up to par with Five Guys, that would be perfect. Not a huge deal, but cost of the burger I bought did not match the price listed on their menu, but the difference was only like $ 0.20 so I wasn’t going to make a big deal about it… just a little thing that could easily annoy other customers. There is still a large enough selection of food there that I’ll definitely go back to try other things(in particular one of their gyros and hot dogs) but unless I could get a beef burger cooked medium instead of well-done, I can’t see myself getting another burger there. Luckily, their milkshakes courtesy of Carvel are great! Hopefully Fresh Worx can work out whatever kinks they have as a new place, because they definitely have great potential.

This was the most disgusting burger I have ever had. I took two bites and could not finish it. The texture of the meat was compact, and it did not taste like beef(which is what I ordered). It had some sort of Spice in it that tasted awful. It was so bad, that I’m actually submitting a review, which I never do. The interior of the place is nice enough, although they had flies buzzing around. The cashiers were friendly — it really was just burger I could not get past. I didn’t dare try the ice cream after the awful burger. Someone mentioned several different dipping sauces for the fries; all I saw was ketchup and mustard.
