Was here about 7 years ago and forgot the name of it. Just remembered the delicious pancakes with fresh berries and chocolate chips. My family and I went to point pleasant over the weekend and looked up breaksfast and found this place. Was so happy to finally be back seven years later. Love the food atmosphere and people. Will def be back again before 7 years passes again!

Stopped in here yesterday morning for breakfast before a round of golf. Read all the mixed reviews about it so decided to try it out. Great experience here. Sat at the counter and had a few cups of coffee. This place is famous for the huge selection of omelette variations. For the meal it was The Cove omelette. A massive omelette containing eggs, potatoes, chopped up sausage, chopped up bacon, chopped up ham, mushrooms, topped off with two pieces of Taylor Ham with cheese. The portion size was massive. Could easily feed two people. Took me a while to knock this meal off but made it though. Quality of food was great. Fresh ingredients mixed well together. If very hungry for a meal, check these guys out. The lack of a full 5 stars was cause of the price. With tip and bill was $ 20.00. A little steep for breakfast, but even still the service, cleanliness, and quality of food was great. Check these guys and come hungry.

The breakfast here is phenomenal! Portions are ginormous and delicious. The menu is huge and everything is delicious. The décor is really cute on the inside too! I got the herb shrimp omelette and my boyfriend got the Maryland crab Benedict. Both were amazing and huge. Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!

I settled into a large homey booth in this nautically themed kitsch kitchen after a long night of drinking. It was everything you want from a brunch venue and more. Huge portions, flexible menu, classic diner wait staff who provided fast and cordial service. It completely took the edge off of my hangover. I made my own omelet(veggie egg white omelet with turkey and Swiss) and was informed that it was being put on the menu(item 221) under my name. It was delicious. With endless cups of black coffee this place was fun and comes highly recommended as one of the better, if not the best, brunch stops in the Manasquan/Point Pleasant Beach areas.

We go to Mariner’s cove about once a month or so for lunch(we work nearby) and normally have a few different people(tastes) in our party. We come here because the menu is huge, and everyone can order whatever they want… also the waitresses are beyond funny and sweet. However, the food is just OK in my opinion… I guess its hit or miss with the 2000+ items on their menu. Sometimes the food is on point, and other times we get greasy or otherwise hard, cold food. Or we seem to wait a ridiculous amount for the food to come out when the restaurant isn’t busy at all. It also isn’t cheap — for myself alone I am chipping in close to $ 18 for lunch once we tip.(Turkey Club, Soda, Tip — nothing fancy). My last reason for only 3 stars is the décor — its in major need of an upgrade. The«charm» of all of the fisherman décor is always covered in dust and silverware and glasses are spotty.. There is a table in the back of the restaurant that had a big piece of cardboard taped over a hole in the wall — on one visit we had to move because it was a cold day and it was like we were sitting next to an open door. But from time to time we joke that we do crave and want to go to the«Hole in the wall» place. Being local — I recommend going there in the winter when you never have to wait or deal with the summer crowds — Forget going there on a weekend morning unless you want to wait for 2 hours.

Oh my. Waaaay too much food! But, what a menu! If you had one omelette a week, every week, it would take nearly five years to try them all. And that’s just one page of the massive menu. The«poor boy» omelette(with the obligatory pork roll) was excellent. We really liked the nice staff and«diner» feel of this place. A definite«must» visit especially if you love breakfast.

Great lunch with my wife today. I had the waitress pick my sandwich and I had the corned beef, turkey, coleslaw with Russian dressing. Was absolutely amazing. I will have to do one more trip before the summer crowds. Great place and great service.

The menu is huge, which can be overwhelming– don’t arrive hungry or you’ll end up staring at it helplessly! Everything we’ve had from here has been great. Portions are huge and the waitstaff is friendly and accommodating, they were great with our infant daughter. My husband is a breakfast-maniac and he loved it. I got overwhelmed by omelet choices and ended up going with a Greek salad– also delicious. I wish they’d put the menu online so I could pre-plan!

First time here after hearing about it for the 10 years we have lived here. Service, quick and on top of their game. Menu: you can eat here every day for 3 years and still not get through everything. Food: incredible. Omelet was perfect. Home fries, classic and delicious. Potato pancakes? As a jaded former New Yorker I can safely say that these are the best I’ve ever had. Everything was made just right, service was excellent and it’s been 2 hours since I finished breakfast and I want to go back, NOW…

What a relic this place is — been at least 10 years since my last visit and nothing has changed at all including the food, service and ambience. Immense number of selections on the menu, too many to be able to process in a single sitting. Today’s choice was a multi grain waffle which was just OK. Coffee nice and pleasant service but the place is in a real need of a do over. Two of us with just waffles and coffee for $ 17 before tip is not a good value at all.

Lived at the Shore most of my life and I never knew about this place. I’m glad it’s a half hour away, otherwise I’d be there every day. I Googled best shore restaurants and this was on the list. I can definitely see why. Menu was huge, portions were huge and my belly is huge(it was before I got there, so I’m not fooling anyone). The waitress asked if I wanted to share with my son, but we both wanted our own. She said that we would bring us boxes now. Ummm, we ended up with boxes and enough leftovers to share with the rest of the family for the whole weekend. If I didn’t have so much left, I’d go back this weekend with my wife and other son. I guess they’ll have to wait. Me too.

I ordered the Fisherman’s Catch Omelet. $ 11.75. My omelet came out over cooked, with brown spots all over it. The shrimp was rubbery and the crab was cold. I was very surprised that this plate past the kitchen staff and was served to me. I didn’t have time to order a new plate and frankly, had lost my appetite by then. I won’t be returning.

This place will change your hangover life. As a loyal fan of the Committed Pig in Manasquan, I have a hard time choosing between both places every weekend. Mariner’s Cove is BYO and larger groups tend to be seated faster than those at the Committed Pig. The food here is off the hook — every meal is fantastic! The portions are massive. Service is excellent and very friendly. I usually get in here early, by 10 or 11AM, and have never waited longer than 15 minutes. A must-eat at the Jersey shore.

Been coming here for many, many years. First of all: Yes, there are 200+ omelettes, but really it’s just mix-and-match of like 12 ingredients. This is certainly better for marketing than giving you the ingredient list and telling you to build your own. ;) The portion sizes of the main dishes are still quite large. It’s clear, however, that they’re finding sneaky ways to bring in more money. Case in point: I got chocolate chip pancakes and a side of sausage links. Years ago you got 4 sausage links. Two years ago we came here, it was down to 3 links. This morning? Now it’s 2 sausage links — for $ 4.75! And these are just standard diner sausage links. That is a total ripoff. Because there are(understandably) no photos on the menu, you might think your side dish will be a big portion just like the main dish. You’ll have no idea that you got ripped off until it arrives at your table and you wonder where the rest of it went. Granted, the pancakes were so big that I probably didn’t need those side sausage links. But buyer beware — my $ 9.75 pancakes were a fair value, but another $ 4.75 for two little pieces of sausage is ridiculous. So, I’d recommend skipping any of the meat-based sides, as $ 4.75 is the cheapest. The name of the game here is portion size: The quality is standard diner quality, but they make up for it in portion size. The problem is, the building is really showing it’s age; there’s not much space inside, leaving you with a long wait to get inside during the summer season. It’s not quite the deal it used to be, but if you’re staying local and don’t mind the wait, you’ll get a good-sized omelette out of it.

Huge! Huge is really the best way to describe this place and I’m not taking about the location, I’m talking about the portion size. This place is the breakfast of breakfast places. Huge! The menu is huge and the portions are enormous! I came here for breakfast with my coworker after working on a overnight project in Point Pleasant. We actually had to detour a little just to get here, but he promised me that would be worth it… And he was right. Apparently, this is a popular place for fisherman to go for breakfast, because of the portion size. You could pretty much be out on the water all day and not be hungry, or snack on leftovers throughout the day. If you never been here before, it might be hard to find because the sign outside says«Breakfast at the Cove» instead of «Mariner’s Cove». I got the«Porky’s Omelette» which was an intimidating mound of food. It sausage, bacon, and pork roll in it and then it was topped with sausage gravy… Yea like I said intimidating. I definitely felt like a porky after eating it, which by the way, I was only able to eat half. Such a cool breakfast place! I can’t wait till I’m in the area again, just to come back here!
