Good, fresh food at a great price. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, BLT, and chicken salad sandwich, and it was all delicious. Nothing fancy mind you, just solid, freshly made food. The sandwiches especially it was impressive how toasty the bread stayed even after driving them home in a paper sack. Service was friendly, drive-through was quick.

Most delicious Burgers in the world. They are fresh and greasy(in the best way possible). The onion rings are out of this world. Now that Blue Bell is back their shakes are super yummy. The chocolate shake is my favorite. Everything on the menu is great but I typically come back to the burgers. Whenever I am in Brenham, I try to make it a point to go to Dairy Bar. It is a classic local haunt that brings everyone in the town together. Great food at great prices.

If you don’t like air conditioning then this place is for you. The food is dirt cheap, and generally pretty good. Albeit not high in the non fat arena. Four stars for having cheap tasty food. Quaint little place off the freeway if your driving through Brenham on your way to austin!

Amazing burgers! That explains the line at the drive thru. Highly recommend! Grabbed burgers to take home. Drive thru line moved quickly and family loved the burgers.

Ok so if you were just driving by you probably wouldnt stop. That would be a crying shame because this place has awesome prices and great food. I havent been by here yet and not seen a line. It seems to be the high school hang out but if your going this way this is a good stop.

This place has awesome burgers and other food that is just plain good! Portion sizes are monster! The food is fast but is fast-ish. In my experience calling ahead really doesn’t speed things up. The place is really, really small and the waits can be long but the food is worth it. Locals only please!

As divey as they come. Dairy Bar has zero ambience, unless 1980’s dust covered paneling is your thang, however they do serve fresh, handmade juicy burgers also at 1980’s prices. $ 3.50 for a half pound burger topped with fresh onion, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo, totally rad! Add onion rings, tater tots or fries for $ 1.35 more. What kind of deflation time warp have I stepped into? This tiny place is very busy with eat in and drive thru service. Full of locals in camo, so you know it’s good. End your meal with a Blue Bell malt or shake and enjoy your last few minutes of 1980, when you still ate dairy and carbs.

While on the road we always try to go to local places that get good reviews. Dairy Bar is close to the highway so it was very easy to find. It’s an old place that has great ambience. The only glitch is that we had to wait a long time for the food but it was worth it. The burgers were delicious. They are old timey burgers made with love. I wish the onion rings had been homemade but all in all we will go back for sure. It’s so much better than going to a fast food chain restaurant.

Dairy Bar was great! The food is an awesome value. Lots of great food for cheap prices. I got two chili dogs, onion rings, and a drink for $ 6. Can’t beat that for any place that serves on a real plate. The two girls working the counter were super friendly and hard workers. When there was a break from customers placing orders they went out and kept the dining room clean. Great job! If you’re in Brenham skip the chain places and come here.

I’m strictly basing this rating on the burgers, as we only had burgers and tots. The place was packed(only about 10 tables in this small, locals spot). Nothing pretty to look at for sure… it looked like an ‘80s Dairy Queen that had not been updated. The lines were long, the drive thru was long and I can see why. The burgers are huge! And what a great value…$ 3.50 for a ½ lb. burger. A restaurant first: I ordered a double meat, not knowing how big these were, and for the first time in forever, I had to remove the second behemoth of a patty cuz there was no way I could get my mouth around the 5 inch high burger with 2 patties. This burger will go down as one of the top 20 I’ve ever had. No frills, just normal fixins’, but wow was it perfect! It was only 11:00am, but the parking lot was full of trucks with Duck Dynasty stickers on the rear winders. You know those meals that you’ll always remember? This was one of ‘em. Follow up this burger with a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream from Blue Bell, and you cannot beat it.

My first visit but certainly won’t be the last! Can’t beat the hamburgers! The sweet potato fries were delicious and the onion rings are among the best I’ve had. The building isn’t much to look at but that’s not a reflection on the food.

Awesome food, awesome service, awesome prices. This place is usually packed because of how good the food is. So call in ahead of time if you’re getting it to go.

Great food, but horrible service. After a rude young girl took our order at the drive thru window, we were unattended for about 5 minutes. Then a very large and overweight woman showed up to take my payment. I asked to add something to the order and she proceeded to ask me «what the hell» I was waiting on to complete my order… Maybe because no one was around? The whole experience was absolutely horrible. I’m not expecting first class service, just to be respected as a patron. It will be a long time before I bring any more service to the Dairy Bar.

Overall take: Great place to grab a blizzard and chill How we found it: Drive by Type: Fast food Service: Quick and friendly Food: We only had blizzards, one with butterfinger, the other chocolate turtle; they were perfect Cleanliness: Good Price: Very inexpensive

We came to the area for a car show… and hoped to get a good ‘local’ bite. The DB was recommended, so away we went. I get why people love it – because they have been coming for generations! The granddaughter works there. She is that cute one chewing the bubblegum behind the counter. The smoking hawt one… flipping her hair as you placed your order. The DB was okay… and a bit desturbing. The staff all wore flip flips. Which is cute but not nec sanitary. The restrooms were out of soap, no towels. The fries are Ore-Ida crinkle, and everything comes fried. The double chili-cheese burger was big, but surprisingly bland. A total let down.
