It’s a four star joint with a great craft selection. When you get Nancy as a server and bartender you will automatically get the five star experience!

We stopped here on the way to Manchester VT mainly because it was lunch time and it looked pretty good. It turned out to be very good. Nice atmosphere, good view of the river, service was very good, great beer selection, and an excellent burger. My wife and I shared one burger and it was plenty for the two of us at lunch.(It helped that we got it with bacon and cheese and fries.) We liked this place so much that we stopped again on our way home, and we weren’t disappointed.

This place had an amazing view literally sitting over the river. Really good beer selection and the food was tasty farm to table local stuff!

Used to go here a lot. I will definitely miss it. Good representation of Vermont. I love the Pirogies. The staff is quirky and sweet.

Best beer selection in town by far. Solid menu and consistently prepared food(fish tacos are quite good). Great staff, though they can get overwhelmed and cranky as can be expected when a place is slammed. They support live music which is another huge plus in my book. Roof deck in the summer overlooking the CT river is rocking. My only real gripe is that I often skip going here vs. elsewhere because it’s too busy. That doesn’t really sound like a gripe, they’re busy because they’re doing it right.

I’ve visited many times and have always gone with burgers and beer. This is a can’t miss combo. This is a place that really cares about beer. And they have 4 oz. pricing so you can sample some risky choices. And the Farmstead has their beer on tap at Whetstone. ‘Nuff said. Burgers are also superb and there are many interesting options. Don’t sneer at peanut butter on a burger. In fact, don’t sneer at any burger combos. It is a thoughtfully designed menu with beautifully chosen ingredients. It is a very VT experience. But the down side. The place can very crowded so avoid peak times, especially on weekends. Parking is limited and his section of Brattleboro is a maze of converging streets and congestion. Just stay calm. And avoid the Mahi-Mahi taco. Mine was served on fajita sized, cold wheat tortillas. Definitely a gluten overload.(Why not corn?) The fish was supposedly blackened but I couldn’t detect any flavor. The Pico de Gallo was a watery gruel. The shredded cabbage was not the leaves but the stem. Kinda like eating tree branches. How can a place that gets so many things right be so far off on a simple taco? I am chalking this up to a kitchen overload. And I will stick to the beer and burgers.

Buddy and I lunched here last weekend and I can still taste that beef brisket and burnt bits chilli. It was an unusually hot day for late May so we opted to sit outside and scored a table overlooking the Connecticut River, complete with pleasure boats strolling by. It’s a beer place with pub styled food, so expect your micro-brews, burgers, wings, chilli, sandwiches and fries. The menu has a lot more options but I can’t remember them offhand. Because it was such a hot day, both my friend and I were hungry but didn’t want to feel«loaded» down with a heavy meal. I got the chilli and their Station Fries with shredded cheese and parsley, she go a bowl of their soup and sweet potato fires. All of it was great and hit the spot. If you want a great place to just lounge around in, hang out with a friend and not feel rushed, this is the joint for you.

This was a cool place to stop and eat. It definitely had a Brewery vibe. A couple of things: The wings with buffalo sauce were really great. There wasn’t too much sauce on them and the dry rub with very tasty. We had the signature Burger with all of the fixings and the chili with a side of cheese soup. In addition I decided to try the mac and cheese. Everything was okay. I can’t say there was anything that I was overly excited about. The mac and cheese was definitely different. It was a long flat pasta kind of like a home made linguini so I give it points for being unique but I wasn’t 100% sold on the taste. When we first saw the menu we had thought about coming back to try some other things but I think one time is enough for me!

Stopped here for a cold drink and a snack on our first ride of the season. It was fantastic. Service was fast and efficient. Ended up splitting a burger which was just perfect. The chili was also great. If in the area I highly recommend stopping… the view is awesome too

I wish I could have ordered more, everything on the menu sounded mouth watering. I opted for the avocado melt, it was gooey and messy and yummy. Sweet potatoes fries were very good. Enjoyed sitting on the outdoor deck watching the river. Highly recommend.

What a perfect stop. We sat outside by the CT River on the lower deck. It is so conveniently located in Brattleboro. We had menus right away. I had a beer made with fruity pebbles. I didn’t realize when I ordered it and was very happy it was not a beer that had a sweet flavor. Instead it was perfect. Our lunch was excellent. I had a burger loaded with sautéed vegetables and topped with feta cheese. It was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pulled pork on a cornbread that was a combination bread so it had the favors of cornbread but was hearty like a wheat bread. Service was excellent. View outstanding. Food yummy. Beer awesome. This will be a regular stop on our way up north.

The roof deck«bier garten» at Whetstone station is equipped like a Metropolitan roof deck with a gas fire place and circular seating, railing looking over a gorgeous bridge with a bar for glassware and amazing flatbreads. 4.96 for a fresh otter creek citra mantra and 7.99 for the most indulgent Brie, pulled pork and grilled peach pizza topped with horseradish sauce. It’s going to slay your confidence in healthy decision making moving forward.

A perfect place to stop alone, a date for a group!!! It is ALL about the view from the top or even main dinner floor!!! Right on the water at the edge of #BrattleboroVT!!! There is an extensive #beer or #bier list and some made locally here in #Vermont! However, if beer is not your thing-they have wine and a full bar if you are thirsty! Come day or night for a quick stop or a long stay…

Had an off duty employee explain the beers to us while we waited for our table at the bar. He is great and obviously a great employee for this business. Unfortunately the 2 girls at the bar, even after the young man helping us told them we would like to order a drink, continued to pass us up for the locals at the bar. This almost caused us to walk out but fortunately our table became available quickly. We order a couple beers from our server and then ordered the Beet Salad, Pub Pretzels and Avocado Melt Sandwich. The beer and food was excellent. Our server was very good as well. I hope next time we are there that the bartenders come to us so we can order a drink or we won’t come back.

I made quick trip to Vermont the other day just to mark that state off my list, and found this place through Unilocal. It’s super cool. The brewery is located right on the Connecticut River, with great views and a nice patio. There’s also a state line that runs through the place separating Vermont and New Hampshire, so you can drink a beer in two states at once. Which of course I did. I was a little disappointed that Hill Farmstead wasn’t on tap, but I had a very nice IPA and a house-made Russian Imperial Stout that was quite good. Whetstone has their own beers plus an impressive tap list. I also ordered the burger and station fries. The fries were a little greasy for my taste, and I would have rather gotten the regular or sweet potato version. But no big complaint. The burger was solid, especially with some fresh Vermont cheddar cheese on top. I was able to sit at the bar and gaze out over the river on a sunny spring day. For my first trip to the state of Vermont, that’s pretty hard to beat.

This place is pretty good and has a gorgeous view, a great selection of delicious beers. Appetizers: pretzels with beer cheese delicious, they come with 2 sticks, so if you have a bigger party or really live pretzels you may want to order more than one, strongly recommend these. The fried pickles were okay, nothing great. Food: the burgers were pretty good, a large variety of preparations and toppings, the fries were average. The hot dog was fantastic, very big a filling, especially if you are a guy you can get away with ordering half a footlong, the footlong is a lot but can be conquered. The dog is huge, not like a skinny hot dog, and the pretzel roll is amazing. They use the same cheese for their beer cheese soup, their pretzel cheese, and the hot dog cheese topping, which is delicious. The place was packed and they were understaffed not expecting it to be packed on such a nice day, but our waitress hustled and killed it, she was super friendly, efficient, and on her game. Shout out to her you can tell she was working hard but super attentive to our table at the same time.

I visited for the first time recently and didn’t have high expectations based on other subpar brewery/restaurants that I’ve experienced. I am very pleased to say that I was wrong and absolutely loved this place! I ordered a flight of the house beers and one NY brew. All of the house beers were great– especially the Free Randy American Stout. It was obvious to me that they take pride in their beers and their food and that neither one is an afterthought. It’s also worth noting that the draft list was pretty impressive overall, and included Lawson’s and Hill Farmstead the day that we were there. We didn’t go for a full-blown lunch, but we ordered a few snacks and everything was really good. The wings were cooked perfectly and not too saucy or spicy and the station fries were topped with Parmesan, which was a nice touch. In addition, I ordered a cup of the soup of the day, which was tomato basil. It was clearly made fresh, nicely seasoned and not too salty. Last but certainly not least, I couldn’t resist ordering the flourless chocolate peanut butter torte. It was incredible!!! As the waitress correctly stated, it was just like a giant Reese’s peanut butter cup(my favorite)! The restaurant/brewery is in a great location with an awesome view of the river and the space itself is nicely decorated and cozy. The bar area looked roomy and nice, but was really crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was charming, friendly and efficient. Despite the teeny, tiny parking lot and the fact that it’s really busy if you show up at the wrong time, I can’t wait to go back!

Crowded! This is a nice brewery but it was super crowded so it was hard to really enjoy myself because of the crowd. I would like to come back at a time where it wasn’t so crowded to truly see what it was all about. Gorgeous views of the river and I love how they have painted on the floor the line between NH and VT.
