39 Main closed some time ago. Luna Azul(see reviews) is now in this location.

The food’s okay and a bit pricey and somehow the Gin and Tonic tasted a little funny but mostly the three people at the bar and the waiter who talked in a really particular manner made it seem like the set of a play which was hilarious and made the dinner go by that much better.

I take umbrage with the fellow who described Max’s(another local eatery) as the only good place in town. 39 Main serves up a variety of tapas-style dishes that never fail to impress and even though it’s a bit pricey– whenever the check comes we feel like it’s worth it. This place has become our standard to take visiting city folks out in our small town. Best that I know they’re only open for dinner, when we go we try to go early since it’s a little place that fills up pretty quick. Right across the street from the Latchis, it’s a good place to start off a dinner and a movie combo and afterwards check out Flat Street Pub in the Latchis complex which is co-owned by Mr. 39 Main. They’ve got Berkshire Brewing on tap, which as far as I’m concerned is the best beer in New England and a bunch of tasty mixed drinks. 39 Main and the pub seem to share waitresses, which might seem strange to note, but they’ve proved funny and competent in my interactions with them.
