I was home visiting my boyfriend’s family for a wedding and needed an up-​do the day of. After calling around, I made an appointment at JoBella with Ang. She looked at the different styles I was considering, and basically did a combination of two of them. I told her my hair is thick and would fall easily, so she used extra bobby pins and hair spray, which I was happy with. I got plenty of compliments on the up-​do and it stayed up for 10+ hours. I will definitely come back again if I need another service when in Branford!

I had a terrible experience here. The chick who cut my hair had no clue what she was doing. It still looks weird months later. The girl cut the front of my hair horribly and messed up my bangs sooo badly. She cut too much bang from the sides of my head, and proceeded to thin them out so I couldn’t tell. but there was no denying it looked dreadful. It’s so bad a girl I just saw recently at a salon, (4 months later!) said she doesn’t understand what the girl was thinking! I’m still traumatized.

I have been going here since I moved to CT and think the staff is great. Lauren is so nice and wonderful. I am someone who actually dislikes getting their hair done, but Lauren makes it pleasant. She always offers to get you a beverage and remembers what you talked about previously. She has a great eye for color and her haircuts turn out so well. This reminds me… I need to make an appointment.

I have never felt so uncomfortable that I actually had to fake an emergency and leave. Angie has no clue as to what she is doing and it showed. I wanted a haircut and low lights and high lights and she just didn’t seem confident or understand what I wanted. I just moved to the area and I rather drive an hour to my old place than go back here. I’ve never been to hair dressing school so why would a hair dresser not listen to what I want and ask ridiculous questions? When was the last time I got a haircut? Why would it matter I’m here now taking up my time for good service and I’m showing you how short I want it. I explained serval times how dark I wanted the base color to be and how light I wanted highlights. My old hairdresser just knew what to do and gave me suggestions and took charge and was confident and a true artist. Very unprofessional and inexperienced.

I just moved to the area and was sent a coupon for a free cut in the mail from JoBella. I figured it couldn’t hurt after the hack job my previous haircut was, and went today to give them a shot. I was scheduled the same day with Lauren, and when I arrived I was greeted warmly by her and barely waited a moment. I was happy to see they used Aveda products, which my hair responds well to, and (I think) smell amazing. My experience was PERFECT. Lauren was friendly and knowledgeable, immediately understanding what I wanted from my style and giving me lots of great tips for my problem (extremely fine and oily) hair. She was precise in the cut, attentive to detail during the blow out, and the end result was superb. I left ecstatic and immediately texted a photo to all my girlfriends, who agreed it’s the best cut I’ve ever had. It’s so good it’s making me rethink growing out my hair!

I love this place! I am very thin fine hair so need to be careful when coloring highlighting. They use all natural products W/​NO chemicals or other junk that destroys your hair. I see Cindy she’s fantastic! I haven’t been in a while but I have to get there! As far as price I’m from Long Island New York so to me it’s like what I pay down there and it’s so worth it! Jess is great and so nice! She blow dried my hair so pretty, and added some curl to it! I got so many compliments.

I love it here. Let it be said that 1^st of all I live in NY and travel to Ct every 5 weeks to get my color done. I have dark brown (almost black hair) and wanted and Ombré that transitioned from red to blonde. It took a creative and daring soul to attempt this and she made it look GLORIOUS!!! Lauren is my styling angel and I haven’t allowed anyone else to touch my locks since!!! I’m obsessed with her amazing work in color and extensions.

After working my way through a dozen so-​called stylists from a dozen different salons, I found Jobella Salon. Now I’ve had tattooed hipster girls massage my head and give me a phở-​hawk (Soho). I’ve had Lisa Loeb look alikes get me drunk on wine and give me a nice «Chandler Bing» (Euphoria). I’ve even had Italianite Motorcycle Rebels (Adesso Moda) style my hair into the «Bay City Rollers» haircut. But alas… those days are behind me. My (favorite) stylist Lauren is the BEST! I haven’t had a bad haircut since she started taking care of my locks. She takes the time to understand the look I’m trying to achieve and provides me with feedback. Together, we have been able to bring symmetry to my head with a style that is at once playboy, professional and rock n roll.
