Excellent tasty food. A far cry from the cookie cutter chain troughs. Highly recommended!

I’m not sure what«His M» and«Sebastian G» are talking about, they’ve only been writing reviews for about a month which sends a little suspect anyway, but this place was amazing!!! The décor was exactly what you’d expect if you grew up in the area and frequented this establishment since it opened in 1903, it’s beautiful! The cuisine, in my opinion, was well thought out, made from scratch, seasonally evolving and absolutely delicious. Prices are very affordable for the portion sizes. Cory, the bartender, made some ridiculous cocktails off menu. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. HIGHLYHIGHLYRECOMMEND!!! Sebastian G, you might as well change your review to zero since you’re flat out lying about this restaurant. Just had another phenomenal meal at the Braddock Inn!

So far I have eaten at the Braddock Inn twice and both times had a wonderful meal. I can’t wait to come in try the Sunday brunch the menu looks great. The new owner was very friendly and has put a lot of hard work in to into the Inn and it shows. I’m looking forward to the opening of the basement area in the future. Keep up the good work guys! Ok so I went back and tried the Cuban for«brunch» I have seen what others have said about the Cuban here. All I can say is … This is everything the Cuban wanted to be when it grows up and more ! Awesome meal guys! Another one hit out of the park!

The Braddock Inn is a charming restaurant hidden in Braddock Heights, between Frederick and Middletown. The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere with beautiful wooden floors, traditional décor, and an overall warmth. It is also in a beautiful area, surrounded by trees and sweeping views! I came here with family to celebrate a birthday. Service was excellent, as was the food. My husband and I started with cocktails. He got a sazerac(a delightful cocktail that is often missing from menus around here!) and I ordered the hibiscus 75. Both were enjoyable and strong. The menu is rather small, but offers a nice balance of options. I had the barbecued pork and my husband had a steak. Both dishes were very delicious. The portions were large and filling. I tasted a few other items from family members plates and everything was appetizing. The restaurant is very large and we were one of only a few tables. I hope to see this change! I definitely recommend the Braddock Inn!

Pleasantly surprised by the new menu. Owner was great, his wife, not so much and actually as an owner who didn’t smile, even turn to acknowledge those pulling up a seat next to her, or even care as she sat at the bar in a grumpy state, worried me. But I guess the regular diner at the bar wouldn’t know who she was but somehow it came up in the lively discussion with the local new owner. We will go back. And I hope she was just having a bad night.

With every bite of the appetizers(do not miss the Arepas! and the chicken livers — huh? We all like chicken livers? How can THAT be?), there was a surprise. The meals were wonderful diversions from the traditional — but in a small and wonderful way. All four meals(we had to share bites!) were delicioius. Even our sons were delighted with their meals. And the atmosphere was cozy and charming. What a great find. Coming back with friends!

This just opened and I have been here 3 times in one month. Dinner and brunch were excellent. Took the family here when they came in from out of town and they loved the history and charm of the place. The family was very impressed with the interior of the restaurant. I had a group of six people and we each ordered a different item and were pleased. I had the sweet crepes yesterday and my friend had the shrimp and grits. We cleared our plates. I highly recommend it. I just read the review by «Mr M» after i wrote my review. Sounds like someone has a personal ax to grind. The one bad thing about Unilocal, someone like Mr M who will write a review for reasons other than what Unilocal was created for in the first place. I personally hope others will realize Mr. M just joined Unilocal when he wrote his review and referred to Middletown as «the middle of no where» yet claims he lives in Frederick. Dishonest much?

I had previously posted an unfavorable review of this restaurant. It was subsequently removed because it «did not provide enough detail.» I also remember reading another review that stated that«the food was nothing special.» That review disappeared as well. It seems the owners are petitioning to have critical reviews removed. I will not be intimidated so I am taking the time to post a new review with«enough detail». I went to this hard to find restaurant with my aunt. Our first impressions were of the interior space. My aunt remarked how it reminded her of Homewood. Homewood is a nursing home where her parents(my grandparents) live. The interior is dark and devoid of style at The Braddock Inn. I would even say Homewood, though filled with the old and dying, is less depressing. The service and attempt at hospitality by the owners Carlo & Heather was awkward. They and the staff were slovenly. It was service I would expect in a biker bar. I ordered the«Cuban sandwich». I lived in Miami for a few years and I am confident I know what a good Cuban sandwich should be. What I had was not one. Instead of sticking with the classic, the cook had to put his own spin on it and subsequently ruining it. I tasted chili peppers, pineapple and for some reason there was cabbage in there. It made me really miss the delicious Cuban sandwiches they had at That Cuban Place(r.i.p. Alfredo Maggi). Now the only place to go is Sabor de Cuba. The Cuban there is authentic and only $ 9. Here it is $ 14 and far inferior. I cannot speak for my aunt but she said that her meal was«just okay, nothing special.» She can write her own review if she wishes. I like going to restaurants for an exciting experience… an escape. This was not one. I like tasting delicious new flavors. My taste buds were bored. I like amazing service. What I received was subpar. I love interior design. The interior design here is some of the worst I have seen. There was nothing good about this restaurant. Having negative reviews removed won’t make your restaurant better. Listen to your customers. I see no reason for customers to drive to the middle of nowhere for a below average experience and I see no reason for locals to go here when they have better local choices in Middletown.

I was so disappointed when the Home at Braddock Inn was closed. It was a place my husband, dog(on the porch!) and I often came to dine. I went the day it closed and probably shed a tear over my breakfast. So, of course I was excited — yet cautious — when The Braddock Inn reopened. I was told the previous owners left due to the immense list of work needed on the property, I’m happy the new owners came in to tackle this historic home. We came the second weekend it was open, so they still did not have their liquor license yet. Other than that, I did not see any real growing pains. The owner came out to introduce himself and the wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought out a water bowl for my dog, which the previous restaurant didn’t do before. The menu has slimmed down from the original restaurant, but where they slimmed it down, I think they did class it up a little bit. I dove in for the design your own combo breakfast while my husband had the Cuban sandwich. Both our meals were delicious and the restaurant took their own twist on them. Needless to say, I’m so happy The Braddock Inn is back again and I hope this time it is here to stay!

Newly reopened by Carlo and Heather this dynamic duo have revitalized this quaint, former Ski Lodge on top of Braddock Mountain. Tastefully and lovingly renovated, the beautiful wood floors and warm tone walls really enhance the atmosphere. A corner of the main dining room has wonderful memorabilia hung in the wall to enjoy. If you grew up in the Frederick area these memories are an extra treat. We have dined here twice in the last week because it was so fun to be there again. The liquor license is still being approved so we brought our own adult beverages and have a fantastic time exploring the menu and sipping on our personal favorite wine and beer. The menu is eclectic and has a little something for everyone. The portions are the perfect size for the well priced offerings. Most entrees are $ 10 to $ 15 which is very attractive for frequent dining out like we do in our family. Try the stuffed chili peppers appetizers — just enough zing but not so hot that you regret it. Delicately battered and lightly fried with just enough bacon to make it awesome. The fried chicken is uniquely flavored by an orange brine. Light breading and crisp. Really enjoyed the twist and the subsequent gratin potatoes were cheesy goodness. The Carolina pulled pork had a hint of smoke and the coleslaw was a great tangy side along with the crisp fried potatoes. The bolognese was devine with a wonderful lemon herb infused pasta. The meatloaf — comfort in every bite with deliciously creamy mashed potatoes underneath s healthy portion of meat. Dessert– why yes! That Apple bourbon crisp with cool vanilla ice cream hits the spot. For a more decadent choice go for the cracked earth flourless cake. Yum yum yum. Unique, local, friendly– can’t wait to go again!
