The Bob Evans chain is a great one. They have a good variety of reasonably priced food. This particular location is lacking in customer service skills. They havent been rude but are less than attentive. We ate here a few weeks ago and the food was great but the service was poor. We thought we’d give them a second chance today. The food was ok but the service managed to get worse.

Great experience sitting at the counter for Thursday night dinner. Had an omelette with side pancakes and chicken-fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Exactly what we needed. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was great. Thank you Katie! Wondering if some of the bad service reviews were during prime-time Sunday AM…

Good food, terrible service. Slow. OMG. SLOW! The slowest place in Bowling Green. I’m usually on my way to work when I eat here, and I’m usually running late by the time I’m done here. I keep on coming back because the food’s good and the coffee is better here than at Cracker Barrel. Biscuits are just OK here, but I need coffee. So Bob Evans it is. Sausage and eggs for me. You can’t really go wrong with breakfast, unless of course you are already running late. If you’re in a big hurry, better hit a drive thru or something. These folks aren’t in any kind of a hurry to do anything.

I only eat breakfast here, and I only come here when I have lots of time, because the service here is so slow. The Greeter doesn’t greet, and the servers don’t check on you with any frequency, indifferent is the best description of the service here. More than a few times I’ve had to go up to the counter with my empty glass to get a refill, which is almost forgivable if they were busy, but they weren’t. The food here is pretty good, and other than the glacial slowness the Kitchen doesn’t mess up very often, but when they do it’s usually something like not cooking my eggs all the way done. You can get a good meal here, but only if you have plenty of time/patience, because I don’t think these people could get a move on if the building was on fire.

We won’t be back. The waiter was not at all accommodating of dietary restrictions to start with, and tried to up-sell instead of substitute blaming it on the computer. When we got our meal, both kids said their eggs tasted like rubber. I got the steak and eggs. I asked the waiter for my steak to be cooked medium rare, but it wasn’t even cooked on one side. I would have sent it back, if the waiter had come back to check on us before I finished the rest of my food. I showed the steak to my waiter after I finally flagged him down, and he asked if I wanted to talk to the manager. The manager came and just stared at me. I showed him the steak and he offered to cook a new one for me, but at that point the rest of the table was done with their meals. His comp for my hassle was to take $ 4 off my meal, he didn’t even offer to comp the whole meal. I left hungry and disgusted.

Terrible service. Been waiting an hour and still haven’t gotten my salad. My sprite has been empty for 15 minutes. Worst service ever!

Much like bad experiences at IHOP across the street we were forced to walk out of this restaurant when we sat down and had utensils or even a glass of water after 5 minutes. No one even acknowledged our presence but then they sat a table down after us and their drink order was taken within a minute. Won’t be going back.

Came back to give them another chance. This will be our last time to eat here. They are severely understaffed. Don’t know if corporate limits hours or management doesn’t staff properly. The excuse today for poor service is that one waitress is on vacation. That is a poor excuse. The first part of our order came 30 minutes after we ordered. I could see the cook set out the orders. Our order was on the warming table 15 minutes before being brought to the table. The sausage, hot tea, and biscuits came 15 minutes after the first part of the of the meal. When I told the manager we didn’t have everything he seemed to get upset with me. I think it was frustration. The manager is too busy serving food to manage his staff properly.

Well the memories of eating here are better than the reality. And I do have some pretty good memories eating at Mr. Evans restaurant. Bite since we’re traveling I thought why not give it a go? There was nothing special about the food. I used to get an egg and spinach Benedict that was pretty good for commercial grade food. No such thing on the menu this time around. I settled for eggs over medium, which were cooked order, grilled sourdough toast, which was basically a great name for«toast». And grits. Okay, can you say boring? I could’ve at least home fries. But no. Oh well, I’ll just have to keep my memories. But it’s okay for a pinch when you’re passing through.

Great food! The service at this Bob Evan’s location is okay. There are some really good waiters, and some not so good. Sometimes the wait for the restaurant is very long, also. Again, the food is great, but the service and cleanliness of the restaurant is not the best. 3⁄5!

After waiting 10 minutes to be seated(and mind you there wasn’t a soul in front of us), we were seated at a uncleaned table. Our waitress was with us immediately, but after ordering our drinks, she neglected to tell us that they were out of coke for at least 15 minutes. Another confused waitress stumbled to our table a few moments later and acted as though we were rude for telling her another waitress was helping us already. Please keep in mind that there maybe were 6 tables full in the entire restaurant at this time and absolutely no need for confusion. We(my boy friend an. I) have now been waiting on our food for 25 minutes. If we didn’t have a gift card we needed to use, we would’ve left after not being seated. I am completely displeased and will never be back to this location. Don’t waste your time!

Stopped in for Breakfast today. We both ordered the Sausage Biscuit Bowl and it was a good combination of eggs, potato, sausage, biscuit and gravy. It was really filling and we were stuffed. Service was quick and friendly even tho the place was pretty full for a weekday morning. We would stop here again.
