I normally like it here, but they were out of my two top beers today so I had to go with my third choice, a session IPA that was a little below average. My wrap was okay but a little boring. My son’s cheese pizza was burnt. Didn’t have time to send it back so ate what he could. To top it off the service was slow, and it wasn’t even a busy night. To be fair, most other visits here have been more enjoyable. I also think that the hop zealot is an above average IPA. Though, this is the second time I’ve been here and it’s been out(5 or 6 visits) total). I guess I need to call first and make sure that it is on tap. Update: As I was leaving the manager came over and said that they never should have served that pizza and offered me a coupon to come back. More than adequate recovery. I appreciate the gesture and left with a more positive view. I’m updating the stars to 3.

Good experience, pizza was good, elk sausage as a topping was a nice change, good selection of beers and an open atmosphere, we will be back.

Awesome beer selection! I recommend getting the 54oz pours for $ 12, this is a great way to try a small portion of all this brewery has to offer! Our favorites were the Hop Zealot(IPA) & Big Shot(espresso stout). The unfiltered wheat is also good if your looking for something light. Pizza and salad were very good as well.

We didn’t have the greatest experience, but everything was taken care of by the owner. We will give this place another shot! Thanks Bob

We’re on our Colorado Rocky Mtn. High road trip and this cool brew pub hit the spot! Great choice of beers: we had ‘home slice’ and ‘witness’(«vitness, it’s German» said one server!) both perfect on a hot day! And the Med pizza with pesto was… well, none to take back to the hotel. Cool people, great beers, excellent food! Go for it!

Twisted pine brewery was a horrific dolphin killing welter of trash. They should be shutdown. If you were expecting to be served, think again. At twisted pine you are expected to serve yourself water as though you were at a family cookout. Your waiter may take a twenty minute break to chill with his friends who stopped by. Ugh. You will be served flat, over priced, mediocre beers. We got seven different beers, all of them tasted like piss syrup. The only enjoyable, or perhaps acceptable, portion of our experience at this(generously stated) shithole was their pizza. Which we made ourselves. Disastrous. Don’t go here. Go to mountain sun brewery and pub.

Excellent beer in a modern, bright, relaxed atmosphere. We tried a flight of three IPAs, an espresso stout, and the Billy’s Chillies. Really liked these last two. Also had the espresso ice cream. Great flavor all around. Great and friendly staff, would love to stay longer and try the more of the fantastic craft beers such as the home slice which is a cream ale with a hint of cucumber. Awesome company as well ;)

Desk person at my hotel recommended Twisted Pine, her«favorite brewery ever». Well, I’m take her word for it, Twisted Pines is excellent. Shared a flight, Mediterranean salad(yum) and vegan pizza(yum). It was p.l.e.n.t.y.

Discovered this brewery a few years ago. Comfortable, relaxing place. Great pizza, good beer and the place has a nice vibe. Now that we live nearby, we will have to explore the menu more.

Hoppy Boy is delicious, and the hoppy hour prices are tough to beat. Most of the rest of their beer isn’t great – although their small batches(Bourbon Stout) can be Amazing. Service can be hit or miss, and it’s hard to hear – especially when they’re having a live act(«music»?), which seems a little too often. Plus the place smells of old beer and the parking lot fills up fast. So I’d go, but there are better options nearby.

The outside patio here is fantastic, but I wasn’t a fan of their saison. Sorda tasted like weed. The pizza wasn’t bad for a brew house. Nice crust, tasty elk sausage, fresh onions and plenty of cheese. The other had a turkey sandwich with avocado, and subbed out bacon for fresh jalepenos. Was pretty tasty, nice ciabatta. I think they make their pub chips in house. I would come back for the patio, and would try a different beer. But there’s a lot of competition out there.

Yum! Creative and delicious beers(flights of 5 for $ 12). I loved the ample variety and depth of the darker beers in particular. Pizzas were seriously excellent(Mediterranean, and Purple Balsamic pizzas) with generous and high quality toppings. Décor was warm, rustic, and artsy(cool painted mural of the brewing process). Open mic night was going on in the room next door, which I really wanted to check out, but it seemed like a more quiet vibe, and my companions wanted to chat more in the main dining room. My only complaints would be that the main dining area was really loud at half capacity, prob due to the tables being fairly close together and the TVs being in high volume. The high top tables can seat 4 people, but aren’t large enough for all their food and beer flights. We also didn’t get silverware, napkins, or water until after our food had been served and we requested it. But I can understand it was a fairly busy night. Service was friendly and the overall vibe was great!

Terrible experience with rude employees here. Half the customers were Seahawks fans and the restaurant was practically empty. Multiple times an employee screamed«fuck Seattle.» We were a group of female fans watching the game quietly so it’s not like we provoked this guy. I’ve never experienced anything like this before at a sports bar even from fellow patrons let alone an employee. Food was fine but they should hire more professional employees.

Today was my second time visiting this brewery and I was just as satisfied this visit as I was the last. The first time I came here was post hike in the summer time with a group of friends, this time I was all by myself after running some errands in the Boulder area. I was starving and wanted to go somewhere where they had good beer options as well. I started with a Billy’s Chili’s beer that is always a good go-to in my book. I love spicy and this beer has just enough flavor to where it’s not overbearing. Chili beer is not for everyone, so it’s a good thing that they have A LOT of selection. I ended up ordering the chips and salsa, with a side of the Ghost Face Killah queso dip. The salsa was really tasty and the queso was good too. The fresh jalapeño slices and shredded cheddar on top were a nice touch. My only complaint was the chips. It would be sooo much better with fresh warm chips and not the ones that come out of a bag. I also ordered a small Greek salad that was awesome. The croutons were homemade and the ingredients were fresh. The dressing was really light and delicious. Service was great and I never felt forgotten. I was one of the only patrons in here at 3PM, but the beertender was friendly and attentive. I don’t find myself in Boulder very often, but next time I come up Twisted Pine will be on my radar, even if it’s just for a growler refill.

I’ve always been a fan of Twisted Pine beers but this was my first stop by the brewery. It was a great experience. The service was excellent. Our server was helpful in pointing out some great beers that weren’t in the usual rotation. I also appreciate that they offer things to eat. The pizza at the next table looked good and we really enjoyed the pretzels. I would definitely go back.

We used to come here on a regular basis when we lived here in 2009. Our first trip back in, was great. We had the IPA, and the bragget, a hybrid beer/honey brew. We had been drinking the bragget when we lived in Albuqueque, and it was unique and refreshing. Not many breweries are doing braggets, so props for that. Happy hour is 4 – 6? all day Tuesday. They do food here now too. The establishment has greatly expanded the seating area since we had last been in, and it still had wood paneled charm. I remember the raspberry beer being very good here as well, really all of their beer is well done, enjoyable, and they have around 10– 20 tap choices all made here.

I don’t drink beer, and I love this place. It’s my favorite place in the Denver/Boulder area to watch sports. 8 TVs(with all the sports packages) and they’ll not only change the channels on the TVs(I’ve watched multiple Cowboys games here), if you’re the only one watching a game on a TV, they’ll angle the flatscreen towards you. The food is excellent and it all seems well priced for what you get. My favorite item is a Mexican pizza which has a black bean base(instead of red sauce) and is basically taco stuff on top though that description doesn’t do it justice(see my pic so you better understand what I mean). There are other vegetarian items on the menu too and I can’t wait to work my way through the list(I’ve had the nachos & quesadillas too and they’re great). The servers are all nice/helpful and the place isn’t noisy like a lot of sports bars(yes, I know it’s not officially a sports bar, but I feel it does sports bar better than most sports bars). I recommend this place completely(and I’m told by my beer drinking friends that the beer is good too).

Went on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. This isn’t the first place most people think of when it comes to Boulder breweries, but it should be. The beer was tasty and the menu was varied. The ambience was sports bar-ish but still family friendly. Plenty of TVs showing college football and the music was at a reasonable volume. I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 because the service, although sharp, was sloppy at times. Our waiter was a little awkward, our table was wobbly, and when they brought out the food, they didn’t bring all the plates at once so I had to wait while my friends ate. However, our first beer was free because we’re military and that was pretty cool. If I could give this place 4.5 stars instead of 4 I would.

I had previously tried a 12-pack sampler from this place, and wasn’t impressed, especially with Billy’s Chilies, which is a fine pint to through back if you have a few hours to deal with the slow burn of your ass. If you are the type to slug back a few shots of hot sauce, this may be your bag. Obviously, we have a lot of cool joints to rest our frames at in this city, where one can get halfway decent food, and toss back a few quality beers. The Twisted Pine website apparently needs a decent updating, because all of the beers listed as being Currently on Tap, were in fact not. We specifically were keen to try the Carrot IPA. Personally, it would take some really cool, experimental beers to get me back in this joint.

Went in the middle of a weekday so the place was empty. Loved all the wood detailing at the bar and the tap handles! First brewery that ever introduced me to chili beer — they had me at hello! I brought my husband back the next day so he could sample everything — we were also amazed at their raspberry wheat beer, which wasn’t like a usually wheat beer at all! Amazing selection, knowledgeable staff, great food on top of it.

I’ve never really been presented with so many devilish and inventive brews as available at Twisted Pine. I’m not sure if the brewers had a little too much and began shoving whatever leftovers they had in the fridge(in a good way, of course) during the fermenting process, but I’ll be damned if they didn’t make a tasty beer. The big espresso stout is a perfect choice for those who like their coffee a little too much. Like many up and coming craft breweries, it’s shoved way the blast in industrial space behind so many architectural boxes you start to think you’re in a game of Tetris. It’s nice that way – more laid-back but still classy enough to be a restaurant and have decent food. All in all, a prime choice for an afternoon drink.

Visited on a Saturday night around 7:30. There was no wait, several empty tables, and some good live music. Pros: –Good beer selection. I’m not a big beer drinker, but I enjoyed the raspberry beer(forgive me… I can’t remember any of the beers’ specific names and can’t load it on their website). We ordered a flight and the one called something like«11 birds» was also a favorite. –Very fast and friendly service. It seemed like all the wait staff acted as a team and we were visited by all of them at some point –Nice casual atmosphere. Lots of 20 – 30 somethings as well as a few families –Food was pretty good. We had the pretzel appetizer, which was delicious, followed by a couple margherita pizzas. They were tasty(and only $ 10), although not the best I’ve ever had. Cons: –Food menu was a little limited. But what they had was yummy. We’ll definitely return!

Great beer, really good food and the view from the patio is killer! This was the first place we stopped when coming in to Colorado, and we are so glad we did. Also the patio was great for our two pups that travel with us.

Nice selection of beer. Really friendly staff, who come out and take your order at your table. Eight TVs, each showing a different sports game! They have lots of football and baseball set up for your viewing pleasure, and they’re willing to change channels if you don’t see your game. Patio seating is available as well. Nice place. Will definitely come back, especially since Avery moved to BFE.

One of our favorite breweries in Boulder! They have a great selection of beer(very creative and novel flavors) and also offer tasty food. I highly recommend the Billies Chiles on draft right now. Or, if you’re feeling particularly brave, try the Ghost Face Killah!

Giant Jenga and the best pizza in Boulder? Yes indeedy. I thought the pizza was unbelievable, so good I ordered two. The bbq chicken and the other slipped my mind. The beer is also good and the staff is super friendly. I will definitely be back as this is one of the go to spots in Boulder as far as breweries.

As a brewery, based on what I had tried this place gets a 3. As a restaurant it gets maybe slightly higher than a 3. Take decent brewery and decent restaurant — combine them. Its a 4. You expect mediocre at both.. and though they deliver mediocrity in both, they do it decently enough to skip just a hair past mediocrity In general — rule of thumb– if a brewery serves food its probably okay to avoid. Avery is the exception.. but they are exceptional to most things. I tried a decent enough hefe. .and another beer not quite as memorable. The pizza, nachos, and other snacks all hit the spot. Overall — I’m glad we tried it.. though next time i’m in boulder i’ll make the trip to Avery or Fate

Great beer, great pizza and excellent atmosphere! I’m a sucker for décor and if a place makes me feel at home I give it an A+! Lets talk about that part first in this review. You walk into this little brewery at the end of a plaza and notice immediately the pine wood walls. It gives the place a cabin-like feel and a great brewery smell. There is also a bench that runs an entire wall with cozy pillows. It was happy hour when we arrived around 4 so the place was packed and a little bit loud with people standing in circle chatting and huddled together at tables discussing their days and the beers. We grabbed a high-top seat in the back. All of the wait staff that were around that night were classic boulderites — and look like they work at the brewery at night to pay for their skiing habits during the day. It was a great vibe! The Twisted Pine has a classic beer sampler for just $ 10 during happy hour. So we ordered that and were served up 10 beers! It was a great deal and plenty of alcohol to get us very happy during happy hour! They had some great IPA’s and a couple experimental brews to try. I would skip the 5 pepper beer(Billys Chilis) unless you like to drink seracha! One thing I absolutely loved about this place is they are serious about their hops. They list out all of the hops used in each beer on the sampling menu. They take their beer seriously and I dig that. After drinking a few sips from each taster, I found a couple favorites. 1. The cucumber cream ale: cucumbers in beer are a great choice! Very refreshing! 2. The Big Shot Espresso: great coffee flavor and a good stout mix 3. Agaveras IPA: My favorite! We even bought a growler just so we could take some of this home, the agave nectar pairs perfectly with this full bodied citrusy ipa. Now onto their pizzas, they are 10″ so no need to share! I ordered the chicken, bacon and ranch and ate the entire thing! It was delicious and the crust was not too overwhelming or flimsy, it was a perfect base for this pizza. We also ordered the Omnivore pizza, covered with everything under the sun! I still liked my pizza better but the omnivore was a great 2nd choice.

Stopped by here yesterday at the Ale House. Definitely a nice taproom. Not real big or too small. They also served food their which is cool. As for the beer we had the 5 beer sampler. All beers I really liked. The Big Shot Espresso which tasted just like an espresso. Rasberry Wheat a lite beer with a taste of raspberry. A nice tasting Saison. Then the Cucumber cream ale was amazing. Smooth and tasted just like a cucumber. Then the jolly rancher which was hoppy but real good. Definitely wanna come back to this place.

The most wonderful time of the Beer! We came here for a work holiday party and boy are we glad we did! The atmosphere is perfect and seems like what the essence of a brewpub in Boulder should be. Wood style tables and walls, concrete floors, mixed with a touch of the brewery industrial feel, topped off with local art decorating the walls. Great place to grab some bites and pints after work for happy hour, a perfect pick for your brew tour through town, or the perfect amount of casual to impress your next date. Now let’s get serious. The food is all around awesome! Great menu loaded with options for everyone without being overwhelming. Good sized portions for agreat price. I was a huge fan of the nachos with guac and chicken added. Great big portion easily shared between 3 – 4 people. The BLT bites were not quite what we expected but great regardless. They are 4 bacon rrollups encasing a cherry tomato, lettuce, and a delicious mayo. No bread on it… but who really needs bread when your food is wrapped in meat? Perfection. Our main meals consisted of the oven baked mac n cheese, pizza rolls, and chili. There was no way we were able to finish everything but it all had fantastic flavor! I will have a hard time picking a meal next time we go knowing everything was great. We had about 10 people in our party and there were no complaints. So the place is cool and the food is good… does any of it really matter at a brewery unless the beer is worth it? No fear, this place is a TOTAL package. The brews are fantastic. The chili beer has great flavor. Some of my favorites were the Baby Bald Eagle and Honey Brown. The Big Shot Espresso Stout was one of the best stouts I’ve ever had. The beautiful espresso flavor was perfect. This beer makes it easy to justify a morning beer… and mid morning beer… and lunch beer… well really beer anytime! The beers you should save for a tasting or flight: Creamy Cucumber… tastes exactly like it’s labeled and was fun to try… until you realize it’s literally a cucumber tasting beer and sounds way cooler than it tastes. The Ghost pepper beer had GREAT flavor but burned going down. Definitely worth a try, I just don’t know how anyone could drink a whole pint… unless your taste buds are kinky and indulge in pain and pleasure. The Noël holiday beer was good, worth a try, but with so many other amazing beers on the line up I probably wouldn’t get a whole pint again. It’s just like the holidays, really fun to have for a few weeks but not something to celebrate year round. Shout out to the super friendly staff superstars. They were friendly, efficient, and fast. They made the experience all that more perfect and smooth to enjoy a great night. Our holiday party was Hoppin’ around the Twisted Pine.
