I’m a new fan. I have been trying to eat healthy and have started to attempt eating plants, like what Mad Greens has to offer. I’ve visited this place a couple times now, the guys here know my usual order of how I love my Olomomo. I love the grilled tofu, it has a sesame-oil-flavor to it. I didn’t know grilled tofu could be that good. After every order, they always ask you to inspect it and see if it «looks good.» Just a heads up, parking gets crazy in this area on busy weekdays, and the restaurant can get crowded. It’s usually about $ 8 for a salad, which isn’t bad, the portions are pretty good. I’ll need to venture out and try other things, but for now, I’m sticking to my Olomomo…

I love grabbing lunch at Mad Greens, but review is for the catering services. We order catering from here on average twice a month, but sometimes it’s more like 4 or 5 times. Everyone in the office loves their food, as do our clients. We’ve had numerous comments on how nice a sandwich and salad combination is for lunch, especially when you will be sitting in a long meeting. Ordering online is easy and I’ve always been able to customize the meals as necessary for the dietary restrictions we sometimes encounter with our staff and our visitors. I appreciate the delivery option as it is always on time and the drivers are polite and well dressed. This may not seem like a big deal, but, having a delivery driver that looks grungy, deliver food in front of a waiting client doesn’t give the best impression and I love that I never have to worry about the appearance of the drives Mad Greens sends. I also like how easy the catering set up is. Within a few minutes I can have everything unwrapped and waiting for lunch, and the carrying boxes make for easy clean up too. Over all, from placing an order online, to cleaning up, Mad Greens makes bringing food in for a group very easy, which in turn, gives me the time to focus on the other aspects of running our office.

Second time going and this time I wasn’t as impressed. The salad gave me bubble-gut but tasted good. I will try it again. This is for the Tempe location.

MAD Greens wasn’t as great as I’d hoped. However, I wanted something light, and this sufficed. I created my own salad; they have 2 sizes: regular or big. I opted for a regular($ 6.50). You can only choose 4 toppings. Anything more is an extra charge. Depending on the meat you choose, it’s also extra(mine was $ 2.25). Baby greens, corn, sun dried tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, and citrus grilled chicken with balsamic vinaigrette for $ 8.75 was NOT worth it! The chicken was dry and tasteless. The broccoli appeared old & wilted(some parts were brown, and it was definitely not from my dressing). Carrots were dried out. My family ordered half panini & soup($ 7.50). The panini I took a bite of was dry. The soups were decent, served at a good temperature with some wheat crackers. Overall, I would’ve given this place 2 stars but they earned +1 for their Maine root soda /handcrafted beverages. Their MAD Greens Signature Fresh Teas were refreshing. They have: Brewed Unsweetened Ice Tea, Passion Mango Green Tea, Signature Black Tea, Hibiscus Lemon Herbal Tea, and Pear Apple White Tea. My favorite was by far the Passion Mango Green Tea.

Mad Greens is good. They use high quality ingredients and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are usually enough salad artists to keep the line moving quick enough. My only two gripes are that hey keep removing tasty salads from the menu like General Custer and Nobu Seagaru and the only difference in portions between the small and regular is greens. I do and will return to Mad Greens.

Standard new age custom salad restaurant. I’m a proponent of the concept but not so stoked about the price tag that comes with it. Other salad places have this place beat because mad greens isn’t as flexible with your adding of ingredients unless you want to break the bank. Also size and variety of ingredients leave you feeling a bit cheated. However their ingredients and aesthetic of the restaurant really has that organic feel that I like to immerse myself in, but this upside sadly does not leave us at net positive experience. There are better salad joints out there… Go Unilocal and explore.

Amazing fresh food! I am a single young woman who would like to walk into an establishment without being hit on by employees though. I picked up my order and was greeted with«Oh you are here for me again?!», when I haven’t ever been there before. I told him«I have never been in here before, so no.» yet, that didn’t stop him from trying to flirt with me. Please have some respect towards your customers.

Ok, I’ve been coming to this mad greens location since the mall opened up years ago, but since the rebrand that happened recently this restaurant hasn’t been the same… Employees are still happy cheerful and helpful; but the past 2 times I have visited for lunch or dinner my salads were TERRIBLE. From what I know about making salads and lettuce in general, romaine should be green, not yellow. Also chunks of inedible stalks of the romaine lettuce were all in this salad. My entire Caesar salad was filled with yellow lettuce and inedible parts. Terrible; this is the second time in a row that the food has been less than appetizing and I’m unfortunately turned off to this place now. Too bad. On the upside, the Cuban panini is fantastic. And let me be clear, the color of the lettuce did throw me due to its bright yellow appearance, but it was the giant inedible stalks of romaine that made this salad in particular displeasing.

If one can become addicted to salad, then I am. These guys get how to build a great salad. It’s always super-fresh and I love their menu combinations(or you can always build your own); my favorite is the Ty Cobb. This location was also recently remodeled and looks better than ever while improving the traffic flow during busy times. If you want a consistently great salad made quickly, MAD Greens is your place!

Updated review tonight was horrible and it has obviously changed owners. Out of eggs, ok over that although it take like 10mins to boil. Ask for mushrooms came home with portabellas which I dislike and I asked for black olive and I got kalamata olives which dislike even more. Light dressing, is a joke, the salad was swimming. The décor has changed no real silverware or fresh cracked pepper. Will not be back. So disappointed!

Great Ty Cob salad. Added the smoked salmon. Delicious. If you or your wife like hand tossed salads you’ll love Mad Greens.

Great place, Cuban sandwich and turkey sandwiches were good. Hearty veggie soup delicious. Salads are hand made to your specification. Can’t wait till they put some in the north Austin, Round Rock area.

A super friendly & warm staff on a chilly day is very much appreciated. The panini could have been warmed up more, but the soup was delicious. They have room for imporvement, but the concept is worth supporting.

Today a colleague and I walked about 1⁄3 of a mile in the snow/rain for our first visit to MAD greens. Let me just say it was worth the walk. There were so many choices of healthy salads and paninis it was like being in Wonderland at the 29th Street Mall. Though the salads were made with care they were also made in a timely manner which we appreciated. I went for the Edgar Allen Poe which was amazing. There was just enough of each ingredient in the salad for every bite to be balanced — which I find to be a rarity. I also went for the green chili which I wasn’t quite as wild about(the taste was great but the texture was a bit slimy and off putting). The staff were extremely attentive and patient(we had a bogo coupon and because I was slow to place my order we were split up between several different people). The cashier was efficient and made us feel valued as customers(kudos to Reeder). There wasn’t a crumb in sight in the dining area and the trash/recycling/dishware return was steadily tended to. The music was also awesome(what better way to eat lunch than be serenaded by Stevie Wonder). The staff noted that MAD greens will soon feature a customer loyalty card. I will be the first in line when this program is launched. Update: I’ve ordered catering through Mad Greens a few times over the past year. Unfortunately the last 2 experiences weren’t so great as the items containing nuts, nor the vegetarian items were not labeled as requested. Thankfully this was caught before people arrived to the meeting. With the most recent order I had even more problems. The delivery driver could not find the building where the meeting was located and it wasn’t until I called the store to inquire where the delivery was that I was told the driver was lost and couldn’t get ahold of me(which I found odd considering I had no missed calls). Turns out he was a few buildings over and had us go meet him(rather than him come to us). The distance, though not super great, was way too far for me to be carrying a crock pot in my dressy work clothes and shoes when the driver should just have driven to the correct building and brought in the order. I wrote to headquarters to express my concern and they were responsive, and apologetic. I continue to receive information regarding their promotions for catering but want to note that the codes inconsistently work through the website(if ordering online) and you need to call it in — which isn’t always the most convenient. Also, for the occasion which we ordered soup it was unclear what needed to happen to the crock pot(I wasn’t sure if there was a deposit/penalty if not returned within a certain time frame). I was happy to learn that upon return you receive a voucher for a free meal.

I guess I just don’t understand everyone’s gripe about this place. I’m here probably at least two times a week as it’s just a quick stopover on my way to class. The facility is spotless, the staff is super nice, and their patio has a beautiful view of the flatirons. I think the price is absolutely reasonable for what you get. I don’t get the add on protein and opt for almonds instead and only end up paying around $ 6. Honestly go buy all the ingredients yourself and see if 1) it costs less than you’d pay here or 2) how many salads you could make before your stuff goes bad. It’s affordable, healthy, and you get a good portion. I’m usually in an out within 10 minutes. Bonus points for having student drinks and the ability to switch out ingredients from their normal salads if you don’t fancy them.

Finding a fast food healthy option can be a bit of an insanely huge struggle at times… Needless to say — finding this option was super appreciated. Delicious salad options that can be customized to more or less whatever the heck you want. Cleverly named salads as well. The small option was more than enough — lasted 2 meals.
