The siracha beef was fantastic. Just enough sauce to kick it without being overwhelming. The right size too. Great customer service as well. When you walk in the door they say Welcome to Firehouse. Nice touch. Keep it up.

VERY tasty sandwiches. We like the Italian and the turkey bacon ranch the best. Quick and easy. Cheap

We decided to try this sub chain since we were in the area at dinner time, and just wanted a small meal. My husband and I grew up with east coast meatball subs, so we are try them whenever we see a new place. They were very good here. The service was friendly and competent and about the right speed for a properly prepared warm sub with melty cheese. We got the classic meatball and it was authentic. I would probably never try the sweet and spicy meatball. I would come back and try some other subs, especially in warm weather when I feel more like a cold sub. Lots of traditional menu options. The only complaint I have is about the table tops. They are printed with a dalmatian pattern which is very cute with the rest of the firehouse décor. Except for the fact that it made me very dizzy to look at. I ate without looking down. Also the black and white spots camouflage the crumbs and spills on the tables and the first two we tried to sit at, turned out to be dirty once we sat down. You can’t tell from a distance. I would prefer to take a cold sub out rather than eat in next time. Hot subs need to be eaten right away so I would stay, even with the spotted tables. They also give out little plastic firefighter hats for children.

As soon as you walk in this place they great you with a loud«Welcome to Firehouse!» Its a fun environment that allows you to feel like your one of the fire fighters walkin into the station for an exciting day. They really do load up their sandwiches with tons of meat too! The service is excellent, better than any other sandwich shop I’ve been to and they do a great job at remembering your name. They also decorate the inside with historical information that I found very interesting to read while I was waiting for my food. Good quality sandwiches and good quality people!

Oh my goodness… So many good comments to leave here! The manager always is nearby and greets his customers, many(like our family) personally and by name. The food is wonderful, staff is polite and helpful, and the restaurant is very very clean. A+++++++

What can I say, I’m absolutely addicted to the brisket. I’ve had brisket in Texas, at Passover dinners, and a couple of local BBQ shops but the brisket at Firehouse is by far the best in Boulder! There are dozens of different hot sauces to try which are rotated out(yes, I’m keeping track of which I have tried) and my friend’s and I have a blast sampling them at each visit. If you sign up for their emails you’ll be happy to receive coupons and specials fairly regularly. The soda machine is also a blast! So many different flavor combinations it just makes for some added fun whatever time of day you visit. Try the brisket, you won’t be sorry.

Stopped at Firehouse Subs for lunch today. They greeted us at the door as usual with a loud«Welcome to Firehouse» which I think is great! The Hook & Ladder and Steak & Cheese were really good and the service was great too! The subs were delivered to our table and employees was friendly.

this place is okay ranks up there with Jimmy johns and subway but not as good. got a steak and cheese and it has this weird Old bay aftertaste. not sure what that is but anyway ate half of it. and couldn’t stand eating the other half… I have had the italian which is pretty good. but the steak and cheese… Nasty anyway i would have given it 3 stars. but i noticed that when i ordered the sub the total came out to like 7.40 … but when i looked at the togo menu i grabbed the sub is 5.99 plus tax. so a whole 1.40 in tax? something is not right.

food is very tasty, but don’t stay in there unless you want to hear them say welcome to fire house 50 times. while it is nice to be greeted they take it a little far. I took one star away just on the over greeting. I would recommend taking it to go. cool soda machine =)

I’m biased, I’m from Florida(where Firehouse Subs was founded) Now that that’s out there — I absolutely love this place. This location I’ve been to a few times and haven’t really had any difficulties. There was one time when the toaster was down but that didn’t stop me from having a delicious steamed meat sub. If you want meat that is steamed and warm without having to get your sub toasted this place is great. Tons of hot sauce available, I always buy one of their signature ones for some home cooking(it tastes good on just about everything)

Pretty sad that the best thing I ate were the funyuns… That was the worst philly I’ve ever had. The«sautees» are all cold, straight from the fridge. The mushrooms are canned, bleck! The meat was warm at best and the overall size is quite small for a medium sized sub. We won’t be back.

There are so many other sub shops I want to try(Snarf’s, Half Fast, Fat Jacks, Cheba Hut, Spicy Pickle, etc…) but we ended up here after the Bolder Boulder and I have to say my sub was pretty good. I have half turkey half genoa salami on a warm whole wheat hoagie roll. It wasn’t overly stuffed, didn’t make a mess when I ate it and the cheese was melted which held everything together. I liked it and at around $ 6 for a medium(8″), not a bad deal. I wasn’t wowed but I’d certainly come here over Subway, Quizno’s or some other crappy chain. Friendly boys behind the counter.

Great place for starving college kids as the sandwiches are loaded with tons of deli meat. Staff is very welcoming, like how they say«Welcome to firehouseeeeeeee» to every customer. Went during 12pm lunch time and they had enough staff on hand to handle any size rush. Sandwiches are a bit on the plain side, but overall decent sandwich joint IMO.

I love this place. The staff greets you with«welcome to firehouse». I would say this is one of the best sub shops I have been too.

Love this place. Hard to believe but the subs here really do taste better than the rest… especially their chicken subs.

The last thing Boulder really needs is another sandwich place, however, this one is a bit different. I’ve tried almost every sub place there is in this town, and when a new one popped up I decided«why not?» I wasn’t expecting much, but I was definitely impressed. I picked up a good vibe when I walked in and everyone welcomed me to firehouse. It’s extremely kid friendly, offering a firehat as part of the children’s menu, and I found the subs to be pretty filling. The major downfall is Boulder is already loaded with sandwich options. If you’re at 29th street mall, this one isn’t too bad.

I like it here. We went in there just to get a quick bite and the whole experience was great. They were accommodating with my weird not-on-the-menu request, and the service was very good. They were really quite nice, and the sandwiches were good. They were also really nice to my son, which, for me is a big plus. A lot of places don’t even give you a place setting for a child, so being nice(though one would totally EXPECT it) is actually something that sets some places apart.

As others have mentioned, this isn’t the only sub shop in town. It’s not the best, but it’s not the worst. My sub was tasty and hot and wasn’t a bad sandwich. However, the meat filling was a bit on the skimpy side. The potato chips were on the grim side, I wasn’t paying attention to the brand, but they were like eating little chips of dried spackle. The Coke was good, though! Seriously, if you are at TwentyNinth St. Mall, and hungry after a morning of standing in line to bitch at the AT&T wireless store; there are worse places to grab a bite.

The Boulder sub market is beyond over populated as it is, and while I love the concept and fully appreciate the idea behind(coming from a family of firefighters I liked the idea and decorations) but the subs were just subpar, and it pains me to say it but the bread was to much and the filling was to little. The staff was great greeted you on the way in and the turn arond was quick, I just have a hard time with the price/value equation when Boulder has so many other great options
