Pros: the service is great. Coffees are good. Love that they have soy on the creamer bar. Cons: need some noise deafening panels, or plants or barriers in here. It’s too stark and with a full house it is difficult to have a conversation so you yell which makes the problem worse. He donuts are too sweet for me and taste more artificial than other places.

I would give it a zero if I could. Worse doughnuts ever. The chocolate bars taste like chocolate frosting on a french roll. The bread is so thick. They think making them big is better but its just a huge pile of dough with no flavor.

I stopped by for a pit stop and caffeine refill here. I ordered a 12 oz iced Americano. It tasted fine. After ordering however I noticed that the 12 oz and 16 oz were the same price. I probably should have ordered the 16 oz(unless it’s the same number of shots with just more water? I don’t know) but oh well. Bathrooms were clean and staff was friendly enough. I didn’t have a doughnut here, but I actually had one earlier this week at work when someone brought some in(chocolate cake doughnut with chocolate frosting). To me, it was OK but not really worth the calories. I guess I’m not a huge doughnut person though.

Delicious. Best donuts in town. Good espresso too! My husband and I like going Sunday morning.

Clean nice environment and I love their ham and cheese scone. The employees are cheerful and nice. I have given them multiple chances to make a decent drink, but every time I leave disappointed. Both the mocha I get and the hot chocolate my fiancé gets have been bad each time. The most recent time, I ordered a 8oz mocha, and asked if there were two shots included in it, the girl at the register said yes. But after I left and took a drink, it tasted like a very vanilla flavored mocha and definitely only had one shot. The donut selection is smaller than you would expect. I will continue to go there for the scones but the rest leaves something to be desired.

I went in on a Tuesday around 8:30am. There were plenty of donuts to choose from – the display case was full, with more donuts on baking sheets on the side. I bought a Bavarian Cream and a cinnamon sugar ring. Both were fresh and delicious. I do feel like the space is too big for them. But maybe it seemed especially empty because the only other people around were a dad and his five year old son. Staff that morning was friendly. So much so she wanted to chat more and I just wanted to hop in my car and go. I do kind of feel like I can get the same donuts at a neighborhood supermarket for cheaper. But, there was nothing majorly wrong so three stars it is!

This is worst donut shop. Dry overpriced donuts— I can get same donuts cheaper with larger selection at Qfc ½ mile away.

They should close this location they don’t make donuts here and they are not fresh. The donut are old and over priced. They said they plan to run out of donuts by 5 pm every day. I went in 3 times now each time they didn’t have but leftover and muffins. They need to rethink what top means!!!

Wow! Where was the donuts!? No selection at all. The one case they had of donuts was empty! I brought my kids here because they love donuts but they didn’t even have a maple bar, which is my daughter’s favorite! The chocolate donut my son got tasted stale. I will never go back.

I am not sure what has happened to Top Pot in the last few years. The doughnuts just do not taste as good as they used to. They don’t seem as soft or as fresh(even though I think they are baked every day). I used to love the Raspberry Ring. But now it is quite dense for a yeast doughnut. And even the coffee isn’t as good. I am not sure if they have changed the quality of ingredients or what is different. And the one doughnut I have liked in the last year(the apple spice — because it was nice and moist) seems to be gone. I have asked about it three times and was told three different things about when it shows up in the rotation. This last time I tried an apple fritter and it was a bit gummy in the middle. On the plus side the gals at this location are nice.

We bought 3 kids hot cocoas and two coffees. The hot cocoas were cold with chunks of unmixed cocoa powder. My americano tasted like water with a hint of coffee. I suspect it had only a single shot.

Very cute, tons of seating and great customer service. Why the 2 stars??? Well… where were the donuts!!! How can it be a donut shop with a near empty donut display. Very sad. All I wanted was a classic maple bar and cream filled donut. #fail

Well, these donuts are fine. But they don’t make a chocolate iced with custard filling!!! What kind of donut shop doesn’t have those?! Plus, very expensive. Also, staff were very unfriendly and rude. So, no, I won’t ever go back. Head to Frost or… Hell, SAFEWAY, where they sell chocolate iced with custard filling.

Talk about very friendly staff. They’re really easy going on top of their game. Always a pleasure to coming in and seeing they’re friendly faces. Over the last 2 months I have seen this place change quite a bit. They have opened up the space and made it inviting. It’s a great place to do business or to come for a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy the newspaper.

I feel like top pot is cruising on its reputation. The doughnuts were pretty meh for me. We got a half dozen, and nothing really stood out as amazing. My kids, who would normally tear through a box of doughnuts like termites in a woodpile, each ate one and declared themselves done. I had a couple bites of several doughnuts and was unimpressed. My other beef was with the staff, the woman behind the counter was rushed, almost surly as she was assisting us. It wasn’t busy the morning we were in – we were the only ones in line and there were four other staff members behind the counter – so I don’t really understand the attitude she was sending our way. Bottom line, there are better doughnut shops out there, and that’s where I’ll be going from now on.

I went here for coffee this morning… forewarning… let your coffee sit with the lid off for 30 mins so you dont sear all of your taste buds. 160 degrees is recommended … not 300 degrees.

My wife and I went in and we were the only customers there. She ordered I coffee and I ordered an ice tea. They gave her the coffee and somehow forgot my ice tea, despite having no other customers. I reminded them after about 20 minutes and then I got it. It wasn’t very good.

What the deuce? Why all of the bad reviews? I went here on Friday, got a dozen donuts for my coworkers and they were gone in a few minutes. I really like the kind of crunchy on the outside, moist in the middle texture. The two donuts that I tried were both delicious, not sure what these other reviewers are talking about with being greasy? However they are donuts and deep fried, so… what do you expect?

Stopped by here three times when I’ve been in the neighborhood, twice in the early afternoon and there’s only a few tired looking donuts left. From now on I make the trip to Frost which is MUCH better!

I’ve only been here a couple times now but every time I go, I get surprised how expensive they are. The doughnuts are alright but not worth the premium price. They sell Top Pot doughnuts at QFC as well(as long as you get the generic ones). I feel that’s more of a reasonable price.

Top Pot Doughnuts, is not the Top Spot for Doughnuts in my opinion. I am sure y’all know what doughnuts are supposed to taste like. So, I’ll just get right to it. I thought the doughnuts here were dry, and the frosting/glaze did not seem to taste as yummy as I wanted it to. This place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Those two things alone, are not enough for me to return.

I want to be fair and say that I liked the location of your shop and the place was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the quality of your product was very poor. You advertise your product as «gourmet» and naturally I expected your doughnuts would be high quality especially considering they are ALOT more expensive than other doughnut shops. I’m sure you can imagine my disappointment when I paid $ 3.50 for a blueberry fritter and it was filled with some bizarre blue goo instead of real blueberries. I felt remorse after eating it By comparison I could have purchased 7 apple fritters from Safeway for the same price and they would have had real apples in them. Hopefully you understand my point and will do something about this. It’s really deceptive to say this is a blue berry fritter when it doesn’t contain any blue berries.

Donuts are meh. Would be good if they were made there but they are not. Essentially tastes like you’re eating yesterday’s donuts shipped from Seattle …

Donuts are OK, Frost right down the road is much better. Brought a Dozen to the movers that are working at our house Had 4 – 5 teenage boys in and out of the house today as well, and by the end of the day we still had 7. The are too much like bread, too dense and the were chilled, obviously not made fresh at the shop. Americano was good, one girl was very nice, the other not so much.

Traveling to Seattle /Bothell for work this week and checked in with friends that know the area. Everyone said you have to try Top Pot. I picked up a couple dozen for the office on my way into work. I had called ahead and requested an assortment and asked them to leave out the coconut, no issues with that and the assortment they gave us was impressive. Lots of variety and the office was happy, although any doughnut might have elicited that response. The girls in the store were really nice and helpful. They put together a list of what doughnuts they had given us, and while waiting for the list I got some great recommendations for the area and downtown Seattle. Will definitely make sure to stop by next time I’m in town.

Dangerously good donuts. I mean it’s donuts… so it’s not earth shattering. but if you want a good donut, top pot has them. If you want something healthier. i don’t know if they’re the right chocie :) That said, the apple fritter is out of this world. why can’t it be like Kale and make you healthy as well? :)

Tried to pick up donuts to take into the office on my way into work on a Friday. The website clearly says they are open at 6am. The«open» sign was off but I pulled over to the drivethru thinking maybe just the inside was closed. An employee opened the window and I was informed they weren’t actually opening until 7. I asked if there were special hours or something on that particular date and she replied«no it’s just our weekend hours». For a second I thought I had gotten up far too early on a Saturday, so I said«…but it’s Friday, right?» and she replied«yeah, but that’s like our weekend». What the heck? Why wouldn’t a coffee/donut place be open at 6am during the week for people going into work? I’m also pretty sure I’ve been here on a Friday before with no problem. Forget it, I’ll just go to Frost from now on. They are cheaper anyways.

Delicious doughnuts and truly excellent coffee. I will agree with the people who have said the doughnuts at the main store in Seattle where the doughnuts are made do taste a bit better. But I do love having a Top Pot in Snohomish County. My only complaint about Top Pot — and this would be directed to the company and main store –is that I wish they would: 1. bring back the seasonal Cherry Blossom doughnut. It is still on their website but I haven’t seen it in a few years. 2. I wish they would come up with some more new flavors with real fruit or other flavors. I love their raspberry glaze. Why not have a blood orange or blackberry or grapefruit glaze? And I wish they would come up with new and more creative doughnuts or glazes.

I read somewhere that Top Pot doesn’t make their donuts in store, and only in their main location. Maybe Belltown? So, it explains why the donuts all the way here in Mill Creek aren’t that great(dry?), and why some donuts run out and they won’t «make them anymore» because… well… they can’t? I haven’t been inside the store so I can’t actually tell if they have the means to actually make donuts. This is what I read somewhere. I’ve noticed that raised donuts aren’t much of a priority and their cakes are more favored in-stock. I liked raised. However, this place is a drive thru, and is the redeeming factor because my toddler is loathe to get out and back into her carseat for short trips. My collection of drive thrulocations is essential and this is my donut drive thru. If it weren’t for the drive thru, I’d be making the trip to Frost. The location is better with more things to see and walk around in.

I feel like I need to help these guys out with a good review! What’s up with all the haters?! Used to love he coffee shop that was in this building earlier, but after my friend told me it had changed ownership and become a Top Pot donuts, I had to check it out. The only drawback for them is the location– unless you know it’s there you wouldn’t see it from Bothell Everett Hwy. they should put some advertising out on the main road! :-) As soon as I walked inside, I was amazed at how much larger the small building seemed. It’s amazing what new furniture can do :-) I was very happy with the selection of donuts, and the staff was very helpful in explaining their pricing structure. I found it very simple to understand. Favors are color coded, and if you buy a half or full dozen you can mix and match any type of donuts. I bought a half dozen, and an Americano, and was very happy with the quality of the coffee. I’m not sure about the drive thru, but I was happy overall with my experience.

I agree.(I wonder if some of the bad reviews are lady latte friends?) Lady latte let the lease go it wasn’t bought out from under them. Also top pot is locally owned too from what I understand. Love the one in downtown. And was pleasantly happy to see one local. I went in yesterday and had wonderful customer service from a guy behind the counter. Super friendly and helpful. I got a mixed selection of donuts. Regular priced. Everything looked good. I will definitely be back on a morning for coffee and a donut some time. Glad they are here love the new interior !
