I’m truly disappointed with my experience at Wahlburgers. I walk by it every day on my way to and from work and today I decided to pop over during lunch and check it out. I wasn’t feeling a burger, so I opted for the Cesar with grilled chicken and an order of sweet tater tots. I got it to go and was waiting for about 12 minutes for my order… this was post lunch rush, so I figured it might be a bit quicker, but they were moving slow. I get back to my office and open up the salad and pretty much every single piece of lettuce had started to go bad. It was incredibly disappointing and a little gross. Especially when I paid $ 15 for the meal(no drink). And to top it all off, the sweet potato tots were totally soggy, like they’d been sitting there for ever.

It should be noted that I had several local and national friends who protested Wahlburgers’ pursuit of their liquor license. I was predisposed towards disliking this venue from the onset. After touring the MFA, we walked through the park in search of sustenance. It seemed to be the only venue that wasn’t closing early. This location bifurcates the restaurant between take out and full service tables. Our server was a delightfully accommodating woman who set me up with a gluten and dairy free burger. I ordered a cup of chili on the side. My friend opted for the root beer float which was decaf by default. The adjustment to dietary needs is to be applauded in this day and age. Although the restaurant was practically empty, we had to wait for an extended time for our food. They may have to improve their backend operations. I do have to say that much of my appreciation with this venue was due to our lovely waitress. If she had been a curmudgeon, I would have been much less pleased.

I’ve been to this Wahlburgers several times now and I’m writing this review in hopes that they can improve upon the experience there. I get takeout once every two weeks so despite some of my criticisms I do go back. I love the bbq bacon burger and my craving for it will keep me as an occasional customer. My biggest gripe is with the overly complicated setup. Every time someone walks in there is a 2 minute speech on takeout, dining at the window area or eating at the restaurant in the back. Its mostly off putting when you are standing there waiting for your takeout order. Surely there’s a better way to handle this. Maybe a sign? Not sure. I just know its not something I encounter anywhere else. Next, I’ve yet to be impressed with anyone’s service at the front counter. There seems to be absolutely no sense of urgency in moving through customers in line. On a few occasions I’ve seen people get completely ignored for 3 – 5 minutes before someone asks them if they are being helped. When waiting for my order I often see the fries come up to the window several minutes before my burger. While not the biggest deal, it shouldn’t be too hard to get these things up at the same time. I’m not the biggest fan of cold fries. The people at the front counter should be more attentive and interested in what they are doing. Seems like they can’t wait to get out there. Its a little pricey too. Burger, fries and a drink at you’re at about $ 15. This review is a 3 Star and not 2 star because of that bbq bacon burger but could easily be a 4 star if the service was better. I’ve been there probably 10 times now and the issues I outlined above are fairly consistent.

1st time eating here and the food was pretty good. It wasn’t too expensive either. Miranda was our waitress and she was über nice & attentive. No complaints here. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

A lively and fun décor, with posters and memorabilia that highlight the careers of the wahlburger brothers. It’s nice that all the brothers are so proud of each other’s achievements. Gives you a warm feeling. This warm feeling helps sustain you through the long wait between ordering your food and getting your food. The dining area was mostly empty, so not sure what was going on. Maybe a hiccup in the kitchen that evening? After we got our meal, the food was pretty decent/just normal fast food. Don’t get the lettuce burger, they just slap the burger innards on top of some lettuce leaves. It was sad. The buns looked much tastier. The meat was pretty good and all the fries were pretty good. Prices were pretty high for fast food with a long wait. This was an average food experience made more fun because of all the wahlburger memorabilia. Definitely come here if you’re the wahlburger brothers biggest fans.

Visiting from VA& had to visit Wahlburgers. Staff was great & happy to offer suggestions. Sadly, the food wasn’t what I expected. I had the turkey burger-dry, couldn’t taste anything but the turkey & very little cranberry sauce, etc. I think they forgot the sauce on Alma’s macaroni salad as it also was very dry. Seasonings were just not used. I expected much more after watching Paul on the show. Quality & consistency is needed! My son, who lives in Medford, said the triple burger was not medium as he ordered. Needless to say, it didn’t live up to out expectations.

After a rousing trip at City Target, I made my way to Wahlburgers on a very chilly Wednesday night. I was immediately immersed in green(seems perfect for Fenway) and imagery of the Wahlbergs. Upon arriving at the counter, the associate explained to me that there is the front of the house — which is for pick up/casual eating, and the back of the house — which is a sit down/be served area. I opted to sit and read a book. The order took a bit of time to come out, which I see is a good sign, it means things are made to order, and meticulously so. I got«The Melt,» some fries, and a kid’s sprite($ 15), and they were just«okay.» The burger was cooked very well — cheese, bacon, pickles, meat, but it wasn’t knock-out delicious. Same for the fries — they were prepared well, but nothing that blew me over. The food was sustaining, but not really noteworthy. I’d say it was worth trying, but I’d rather go to UBurger if in search of a fast burger and fries combo.

I think this place just opened up I haven’t seen it before in boston. I rated three star I think it’s very close to being 4 star. I had Donnies choice burger it was good it had the capability of being amazing it just needed a little bit more of the sauce and avocado that was supposed to be on it. Service was pretty bad though even with lots of people working there… But that could be due to it being new. Most important to me is the milkshake with a burger. My passion in life is Ice cream and milkshakes and I have to say best thing about this place was the vanilla milkshake… It was amazing and definitely best milkshake that you will get at any burger chain. I will be returning just for the milkshake and to try another of many options on the menu. FYI … Non-itemized receipt for all you expense accounts. Update: returned and had the Pauls choice burger it was good but too greasy for me. More importantly I was curious if the service was as bad as I previously thought. To my surprise it wasn’t better it was worse. The kid that took my order had a face of disgust the entire time. Then when my order was ready he tossed the burger onto the tray. Honestly it made me so upset I told one of his co-workers to teach him how to smile. It’s pretty sad I probably won’t return to this location just due to horrible employees. I keep thinking if any of the Walhburgs knew how this kid treated me today they probably would have slapped him around a little.

I pass this location twice a week and every time I say to myself if there is a spot to park I will try it. I finally had an appointment(with parking) across the street and had some time to kill. I will start with that service was excellent and the manager was very helpful and nice. Meh … The food was just ordinary. I got a dad’s basic burger. It had their special sauce which I was told was a mix of ketchup, mustard, sriracha, etc. Surprisingly it did not have enough punch and I had to add ketchup. The bread while tasty was stale. My son got the grilled cheese which I got to try and it was the best out everything we got. Crispy and buttery and gooey — it was also pretty large for a kid’s meal. Out of the potato products we got — fries and tater tots — I like the tater tots better than the fried but my son was the opposite. The tots were not dense but lightly packed together which made them cook all the way through but also made it fall apart. I would not go out of my way to come here but I might stop in if I had parking.

The rating of two stars, or «meh», is a perfect way to sum up my visit to Wahlburgers. I tried to order the OFD with a turkey patty. I didn’t know if it was possible and either did the cashier. She actually didn’t even know that Wahlburgers served a turkey patty. Period. I got nervous. Finally $ 25 later we had ordered two burgers and 1 tater tot. Eek. Pricey. When I finally got my burger, it was not turkey. The manager was extremely nice about replacing the burger and offered us a milkshake for free. Unfortunately, the burger they replaced it with just wasn’t that good. It was so WET. The bun had almost completely disintegrated before I started to eat it. My husband’s burger was fine, but nothing outstanding. The tater tots were a highlight. Unfortunately for the price and the reputation, I expect more. I’ll take a longer walk and head to Tasty Burger next time.

Tasty burgers, fries and excellent onion rings. $ 30 for two. Mark Wahlberg movie posters everywhere. Can’t knock it, well worth the 4 star review.

Let me get the bad news out of the way first. The only reason why I ddnt give them 5 stars is b/c of the PRICE!!! Omg! Bacon burger, onion rings and a soft drink for $ 16.50. That’s almost how much my T pass costs. Anyway… Everything else was amazing. The staff are super super nice. Very helpful. The burger was good but I ddnt like the bread. It was bigger than the burger which wasn’t that big to begin with. The onion rings… I mean onion strings were amazing!!! Definitely in my best top 3 of all time. I tried the lemonade but it was tooooooo sour. And I love lemonade. You could tell tell it was fresh. But too sour to drink. I opted out for a hi-c. The place is very new very clean. If I came back it would be for the onion strings and possibly a frappé yum

I was walking in the Fenway/Kenmore area when my NYC-based teenage cousin sent me a text message and said, «Do you live near Wahlburgers?» «No,» I said. «The food looks dope; you should go there.» «I don’t know where it is. Let me google it… oh, I’m right here.» He responded, «So go there, for me. Maybe someday you’ll be able to freeze a burger and ship it to me.» Peer pressure is real, y’all, so I feel all of it. I went straight to Wahlburgers because my cousin told me to. But then I looked at the menu and holy cow, I think I sacrificed my first born to be able to afford it. Fries are soggy and gross, burgers, nothing to write home about, service OK. I didn’t have a burger because I’m a Shake shack fanatic and I didn’t want to cheat on my life partner(Shake shack). Recommend if you’re really in a pinch; think: no food. Sorry, Mr. Wahlberg, I’m staying on my side of the river. Next time, next time.

I’m not sure why this place has low ratings. I got the OFD burger and it was cooked perfectly with sautéed mushrooms, crisp bacon, and swiss on a toasty bun! It was delish. The tater tots were standard and good with the wahl sauce which is comparable to thousand island dressing. The Creamsicle soda float with orange mango soda was also great. Tasty burger especially for a celeb owned chain! I really enjoyed all the Mark and Donnie posters everywhere. Fun place to check out if you’re in Boston!

I had high expectations of this place but it really disappointed. Pros: good location, nice tater tots, food seemed fresh Cons: burger was not tasty at all I ordered the classic burger but did not enjoy it. It simply did not taste good. The tater tots were the best thing we had there. I would not come here again.

Burgers are fair, new location/vibe in Fenway is good space for the seating area but crowded and awkward for the to-go or quick in and out folks. I didn’t find the burgers awful as some others did but it’s not a lot to write home about. It took a while to come out and with that amount of time, I could have gone down to Tasty Burger or even Church in the same neighborhood. The fries and onion rings were the highlights. Prices are okay but not cheap. I think they need to decide if they want to be tasty burger competitors or bistro burger competitors. I don’t see them getting much headway, otherwise.

I admit this was on my Boston bucket list solely because of the show! I enjoy watching the frankly dynamics of the Wahlbergs so it was only fitti to try the burger that Big Papi insisted on having before a game. They have both a quick service section and a sit down restaurant which was a nice surprise. Went for the dinning room which was nicely decorated with family photos and shots from the show. Went with the classic burger and fries. The burger was nice and juicy, little messy which is a great sign. They aren’t huge but a good size. The fries were great! So fresh lightly salted and in a big container! I also was able to try the sweet potato tots and that was a fun take on the original! I admit I was hoping for a celebrity sighting and wish the staff had some cool stories. They don’t have a good selection for desserts is my only real complaint. Overall great lunch!

Is not bad! I believe everybody had huge expectations about this place and the disappointment was too much to handle on Unilocal.Still, the burgers are good. They have flavor, they are fresh and the staff IS friendly. There’s a greeter who explains the menu & dining options to you, which I found to be extremely helpful. You can add whatever you want to burgers as well. There’s even dessert. I tried the BBQ Bacon burger with a Turkey patty and my friend ordered the regular patty. Both were tasty. The bread became crumbs in seconds, which didn’t hold the burger together for long. I could barely taste the bbq sauce but overall Wendy’s wins. The thing is this: –Tots ARE too salty. — The burger patties are very thin — Not many options for vegetarians — Very pricey for what they offer It’s not gonna be anybody’s first option, it’s not that different from Tasty Burger but it will satisfy your hunger. I will go back to try their onion strips and other options for sure.

I visited this location on the first day it was open to the public and I was disappointed with my burger. I went for the classic«our burger» which is a cheeseburger with all the usual toppings and their special sauce. The presentation was nice and it was ready within 5 minutes but the burger itself was lackluster. It was warm at most, sandwiched with cold pickles and it just didn’t give that comforting, satisfying feeling that burgers usually have. The patty and bun were on the drier side — the bun didn’t have much substance to it either. All in all, not worth the $ 8. Even though I was not impressed by their food, their service was quite good. I’m not sure if it was because it was the first day of business, but there were greeters at the door that introduced the menu and directed customers where to go. Although friendly and helpful, they did seem a little flustered and confused at times, but I would imagine that it’s because it was the first day. I’m not sure if Wahlburgers will ever make their $ 8+ burgers worth the money but I probably won’t be back to find out.
