MEH– i got the salmon combo which is tha cali roll and salmon nigiri, it also includes the house salad. it was $ 10. for just about under $ 10, i couldve gone to samurai and got 2 rolls and choice of miso or salad. this place is meh and the service is so so. there was this one lady while my friend and i were there who just coulndt figure out what her friend wanted, so she was on the phone with them and then just like cuts in line and pays for her meal, while other ppl are claearly being serviced. to me, that was soooooooo annoying. wait! the sushi was meh. the highlight was going to CVS right after and buying a bag of candy corn!

Really bad! And expensive! I got the avacado dragon maki and it was old. Yes, I believe the shrimp was fried(yesterday)! It was poorly rolled and tasteless. Will not go back again.

High prices for inadequate amounts of sushi. I would rather have three day old supermarket sushi than eat here. Also the aroma of the restaurant makes one question the quality of the product served. One is better off to keep walking and find another sushi spot than to waste ones money and time at this place.

God dammit. I just clicked«Useful» on the other 2 reviews, but it would have been more useful if I saw this around 11am today! D: Worst nigiri ever, each piece was the size of my thumb, no wasabi underneath the fish, and two FELL apart. Oh yeah, that was $ 10 for 4 of them, and I had to eat an apple and some peanut butter crackers to make it a lunch(the crackers were exceptional). One good thing is that they didn’t punch me in the face on my way out.

All this talk of soup yesterday… I needed some this time round for lunch. But found myself far too far away from Chinatown at lunch time today. I ducked into Ueno… because I thought that I remembered it was good. Having a pleasant meal there in the past must’ve been an extended dream sequence in my mind… as I ordered a vegetable and dumpling udon today, and forked out $ 9 for what was basically a watery bowl of not quite cooked packet vegetables, and some dumplings(that fell apart) which tasted not too disimlar to rolled up balls of mashed garlic. Dump a crap load of shredded seaweed in there and some udon, et voila… overpriced, and downright tasteless dissapointing lunch. I basically doused my soup in soy sauce and supped as much as I could stomach(to make up for the $ 9 spent). The ONLY(but barely) redeeming factor was the snappy acid jazz Santana cover album they had playing. Barely redeeming. Next time I will make the trek over to Chinatown.

This place wins the award for worst Japanese I’ve ever had. It’s not *terrible* mind you. I guess I’m lucky to not have experienced *terrible* yet. But this is just so… BLAHHH! I paid 5.76 for the teeniest, tiniest Philadelphia roll today. It was sooooo small! The rice was off. The texture was overly chewy(and not melt in your mouth awesome that I was hoping for). The miso has no soul. Even when you eat at the restaurant they serve you in Styrofoam bowls and plastic plates. I left this place, having spent 8 bucks and change on a pathetic roll and the miso, and trucked my ass over to sushi time which has better, fresher, cheaper, larger rolls. And at least they serve you with actual plates and ceramic soy sauce ramikins. In short, I will never, ever, ever eat here again. Life is too short to eat lame sushi.
