Came here for lunch before a Red asox game. The wait wasn’t bad and we ended up being seated in 20 minutes. The host was pleasant and brought us to our table no problem. Then we waited… and waited… for our server to come. After a solid 20 minutes he showed up and we ordered right away. He gave us this really weird vibe as if he didn’t want to be here and didn’t know what he was doing. Whatever we wanted to eat. The food took a long time to come out to the point where we had to ask if the food order was out in. When the food did come out it was a joke. A few fries sprinkled on a plate and a burger missing half the toppings. I should have taken a picture but I was so hungry I scarfed it down. Overall it tasted mediocre at best. For the prices I expected better. I won’t be returning and I recommend you don’t waste your time.

Went with some co-workers for karaōke last night. A friend was singing a song and a good group of us were singing and dancing right in front of her and I started dancing with her on stage. Apparently they look down on this, which btw I had no idea about(it was my first time here), and some thug with a mohawk manhandled me and physically threw me off stage. Not cool man. Simply letting me know wouldve sufficed. I was neither belligerent nor violent. This was not some pop star on stage at a major concert, the reaction was totally not called for.

My favorite bar in Boston. I went here for the first time for my 21st birthday(beginning of the summer in May) and had an absolute blast as it was 90s night and there was a live band covering all of the songs. On Thursdays they have live-band karaōke which is fun and unique. Though I’ve never eaten here, the bar is well stocked and it never takes too long to get a drink. In my experience I have never had to pay a cover charge to get in. I love this place!

Post game pub food — they’re killing it here! Every time we’ve been here the food has been consistently good, the service is iffy, last time we were here our waitress was great but other times not so much — you have to remember though they’re dealing with a crowd of rowdy fans/drunks and I imagine that gets old quickly. Back to the food — fried Brussels sprouts. Dear lord order the Brussels sprouts. The portobello«sandwich» is essentially a super buttery, crispy grilled cheese jam packed with thick portobello pieces. Aka it’s the most amazing bar grilled cheese I’ve ever eaten, and it stays well — I can never finish it but usually remember I have the rest of it on the ride home to CT and even an hour or two later it’s never soggy, still crispy and amazing. My bf has ordered the Bangers and Mash which he said was good and the chicken pot pie which he described as better than the bangers. Super solid pub food. Just go!

My favorite place for drinks in Boston after a game at Fenway or a show at the House of Blues! The waiter I had there the last time I went was phenomenal and paid extra attention to my food allergies, which made me very happy.

Let me preface this by saying Landsdowne is one of the most popular bars in Boston and I am still not sure why. I have been here so many times because I have a group of friends who love going. That being said it’s an alright time if you go with the right people but I do not understand the appeal. Landsdowne is in the heart of Fenway and draws a large college and young professional crowd as well as an influx of tourists. The lines to get in after 10:00PM can be suicidally long but that being said it’s not long for no reason like many clubs do. Landsdowne is nearly 100% of the time packed to the brim with no breathing space. It can get infernally hot due to the multitudes of people. Yes, the divey scene works and one will not be unhappy with the multitudes of people who are always there. The lowest part of Landsdowne is the music. It has a live band on Friday and Saturday nights! One would think they were gearing towards the Baby Boomers who still listen to nothing but the Beatles as opposed to the college crowd. At parts during the night a DJ does spin for a bit and is very good when he does spin. Music is one of the chief factors for me and if the live music was replaced with a DJ, I would like the place better, other than that I will continue to go here with the friends of mine who thoroughly enjoy the populated and popular scene.

It was aight. Music was kinda too loud for a breakfast joint. Then again, it was 12:30PM when I went. And it was marathon Monday. And there was a Red Sox game going on. Maybe my hangover didn’t help things. OK, this one’s on me. Try the Irish breakfast with a Bud Light.

I love this place. I’ve been going here since college and continue to make my way back there even now that I’m a few years out of school. Fridays are the best with the live band that plays 90s covers/today’s hits. It’s a $ 5 cover but you expect that for a live band, you have to pay them. Drinks are reasonably priced and the space is pretty big. I’d suggest not going here 100% sober and it is a little bro-y/college-y but honestly, sometimes you need those nights! Let loose, grab a drink, and dance.

I am definitely a fan of brunch here! I made a reservation for a Saturday almost-afternoon, the place was empty. However, within the hour, the place was jammed so I like that I was able to make the reservation just in case. The events manager replied to my reservation request quickly and that was appreciated. What I liked: The server was very nice and efficient. The drinks were good, although I would have liked to see Mimosa options. My favorite was the house-made sausage. It was really delicious. My husband got the breakfast pie and it was really good. I have never seen anything like that at another breakfast place. Our friends ate lunch, and really enjoyed their food. It is really dark in there so going in while it’s daylight out is tough but I think the food was worth it and I will definitely be back to try the pancakes!

Only been there to watch big soccer games. It’s a good establishment for that as it can show games on the big screen. Service is usually good. Food is ok. Drinks are decent. Spacious bathroom which is rare in Boston.

I like this place, but I don’t love it. The menu is good, the service is usually good, and there is live entertainment sometimes. I had the boneless wings last time I was there and they were good, not great. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back, but it is super convenient if you are going to a game at Fenway or a show at House of Blues. The prices are average, and they have TV’s if you wanted to watch a game. Overall, it’s a fine place to grab some food or drinks if you are in the area for an event.

Went to watch a soccer game and have brunch with friends. My breakfast pie was dry. Menu was pricey for the run down skanky Fenway area. There was only one waitress to service the entire dining area. Now that we have the negative points out of the way. This place was huge! The men’ bathroom was private, clean & large. Place looked great. The Guinness was perfect. I would definitely go back to try something else on the menu. The 4 stars were mainly for the facilities(wood everywhere, great bathroom, nice decorating touches and a great looking bar) and the Guinness.

It was a fun atmosphere, good people(if not a bit bro-y), and band was ok, but I probably not worth the $ 5 cover charge. Received good service at the bar

Lansdowne is a fantastic bar, but it’s not somewhere that I would go for brunch. It’s brunch selection is fairly limited, and aside from the Apple Crumble Pancakes, there aren’t any«stand-out» items on the menu. As a big fan of pancakes, I ordered the Apple Crumble Pancakes. They were extremely delicious, but I was sad that the dish only came with two pancakes; adding one more pancake would have made it perfect. The Irish Breakfast was alright, but probably not the best option on the menu. They did a really good job on the scrambled eggs, but everything else was rather bland. The place was virtually empty when I went, which was kind of a nice surprise, and not what I was expecting for a Sunday morning. Our server was very friendly, and never let our water glasses empty. It’s worth noting that if you have a Lansdowne Card, you get 20% off your brunch, which makes it worth going at least once.

Cool pub, makes you feel like you’re in ‘Beantown’. Has that old time Boston feel and just steps from Fenway Park. The outdoor area is nice for drinks or eats on a dry summer night. They have some good-sized tvs to watch the game and a good selection of brews. Even though there’s ample seating, the joint gets packed during the playoffs.

Was excited when we sat down because we got drinks and an app right away… But then the waitress never came back. I asked a busser twice if he could send the waitress. The second time I asked for a manager, who never came. The waitress finally came and took our order for dinner. Sitting here now… Took 20 minutes to get a bottle of beer. We are still waiting for our dinner. First and last trip here

As another review stated, they kick people out for no reason. I was kicked out about 1 hour before closing. For reference, I am 28 years old and have never been kicked out of anywhere. I respectfully asked the bouncer for the reason. He said I was«too forgone». I was simply dancing to the live band on the dance floor. Apparently they do not like people having fun. Do not go here if you want to have fun.

Went to this place right after my Spartan Race at Fenway. Included in the race was a free beer. So of course I wanted to take advantage of that lol. The beer selection is okay. To start off I got the Irish Nachos that were really good… BUT the baked Mac & Cheese with Irish Bacon was incredible! Lovely crowd I’m sure it must be packed when he Red Sox are playing. If I’m in Boston again I will go back here.

I work at Fenway a bunch and we get lunch and brunch here fairly often. Their«cabbage and corned beef hash» is the best corned beef hash I’ve ever had — actual slices of corned beef as opposed to the pulpy stuff you usually get elsewhere. Their lunch food is great too. I’d give five stars if I were rich and money weren’t no thang, but it is for me, and this place is not super affordable for just-out-of-college youths. It’s more grown-up-good-salary-job prices. I have never had their alcohol and cannot comment on their drinks.

Came in her on Sunday for brunch around 10:30 after a group of us finished the walk for brain aneurysm. My friend who organized the brunch had called a week in advance to request a space for 30 people– they said that was totally fine. She then called Friday night to let them know she wanted trays off food because they wanted to pay for it all for doing the walk– she asked if she could tell them what she wanted ahead of time and they said no just order when you get there. Fast forward to Sunday morning 30 of us show up ready to eat and they are hosting the garden club?! They shuffle us into a room in the back and none of the staff had any idea what was going on. We explained we wanted trays of food and they said they couldn’t do that. Long story short we all ordered individual meals and all paid on separate checks. It was very unprofessional and my friend felt like an asshole for organizing a brunch and then making everyone pay for their own meals. The two waitresses we had did a great job under stress but the lack of communication showed and made for a stressful Environment. The food we had was good but will prob not hold a big group here again.

I like this place. It’s fun. Probably one of my favorite places to go out to on a Friday night. There’s usually a pretty long line to get in, but with the status card, you and a friend can skip the line and not pay cover either. Score. The beer list here is a little bigger than your average bar in Boston. It’s a pretty small place, but they still get a lot of people inside at once. They usually have cover bands on Friday and Saturday nights. It provides a much different dancing experience, and I love it. The cover bands usualy have a ton of throwbacks in their setlist, so it’s not uncommon to find everyone belting out the lyrics. I still need to hit up their $ 1 oysters on Tuesdays. Overall: definitely one of my go-to’s in Boston!

I stumbled into this place after emailing a bunch of bars in Boston to host my 25th birthday! This was back in 2014! I came to the pub and was greeted by Kristen who was the event coordinator. She was very welcoming and gave me a tour of the entire place. At first I was unsure about this place because I wanted to know if there was a fee for hosting a party and if there was, how much would it be and was there a private room. Kristen took me to the snug in the back and showed me how the set ups could be. I really liked it because it gave it a personal and intimate touch. Whoever was back her was having their own bartender too which was nice so my guests would not have to go out to the main bar and wait for a drink or two. A week later, Kristen emailed me and said we were all set for my specific date. I was very excited and from there she helped me coordinate a menu and theme! Day of the party she let me come in early to see the room, decorate and meet the people who would be «staffing» my event. It was a huge success and fast forward to now(2015) I am still having events at the Lansdowne. I just hosted my 26th birthday a week or two ago and throughout the year, I am always hosting/organizing work outings. Anytime I bring in my coworkers, Kristen always sends out some appetizers for my group. I have definitely develop a good connection and friend with Kristen and the Lansdowne Pub! I will continuously give them my business! Oh and to add, the wait staff I have had has always been phenomenal! They are a great place and I would highly suggest them to anyone! Great food, great atmosphere and great people… HANDSDOWN!

I went there for their Oyster Fest. Live music and $ 1 Oyster!!! It’s a super good deal that I cant wait to try. We had oyster and drinks. The oyster selection includes Duxbury: From Duxbury Bay, MA, it’s more salty and you can smell the sea but after that is creamy. It’s tender but somehow crunchy; Malpeque: from Prince Edward Island in Canada. It’s small and sweet with sharp mineral taste; Virginia: it came from Cherrystone Creek in Florida. the biggest size among three. Firm and creamy. Oysters were pretty fresh. It’s a good deal of $ 1 each. There was live music but played too loudly. We went down into the other room where a football game was playing. 中文版評論看這裡:

I went here for my 21st birthday in August 2013 with about 8 friends. We really enjoyed it. The line to get in was long but it went fast. There was a cover but I can’t remember if it was $ 5 or $ 10. It was pretty crowded(which in my opinion makes this type of bar more fun!) We opened a tab which is the easiest way to get drinks faster when its busy. They had a huge selection of beer and liquor. That night the cover band the Scooby Snax were playing. They were awesome. We had so much fun. When we didn’t like a song, we just went down into the other room where the EDM music was playing. I really recommend this for people in their 20s-30s. Totally worth a try.

Good place to go with friends. There is a live band on the weekends. The group I saw(Cover Story) was really good. They played current, crowd pleasing covers. There is a dance floor area and 2 main bars. There are rooms for private parties too. Average drink prices for the area… Bud Light pints for $ 5. There is a $ 5 cover and the line gets really long so get there around 10 if you don’t want to wait long. Gets packed after the 8th inning of Sox home games because it is inches from Fenway. There are TVs showing sports, and the bathroom(women’s) is big and clean. The line was never long if there was one at all. Overall fun experience and I would go back.

I came here with a friend on Saturday night, and there was a cover band playing all kinds of 90s music which was a lot of fun. But it was so crowded in there that we could hardly move. If you’re a girl and don’t want to be creepily hit on by guys who are falling over drunk all night though, I would avoid this place, especially after a Sox game. The crowd was very sloppy, people kept falling, guys would come up to us who were too drunk to form a sentence. Also, we had to pay $ 7.50 for a Magners which is pretty outrageous Pretty entertaining night, but definitely a place I would only come back to once in a while.
