I have fond memories of getting sick from the food the next day… I feel bad saying this because the owner is friendly and very hard working, but the food just isn’t that great.

So far one of the best stands I have hit around Fenway. Nice to see that it is well appreciated by the folks here. Very tasty steak tips, their secret sauce is also excellent. Good friendly folks.

If you went to BC, your Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights usually ended one of three ways. 1) at CheChi’s waiting in line for a delicious sausage and peppers or the equally awesome kielbasa, 2) urinating in your dorm common room and alienating your roommates, or 3) in an uncomfortable and awkward situation. Or if you were really lucky, then all of the above. At any rate, CheChi is a super nice man working an honest job and feeding hordes of drunken, obnoxious, and sometimes hostile college kids/Sox fans. God bless him and his delicious foods and secret sauce. I seek out his cart after every Sox game I attend, just like I’d seek out his cart on the BC campus after striking out again on a weekend night in college. His glowing charcoal fires are like a beacon of freedom, truth, and triglycerides. You only live once, why not go down swinging. CHECHI4MAYOR!

Tracy C once drunkenly demanded Che-chis(they have a branch right outside Boston College… GOEAGLES?) so as her loyal friend, i accompanied her. After she got her little treat, I attempted to haul her back to the dorms and while walking slightly behind/ahead of her, I noticed little bits of bread being tossed around. Che-chis, you not only make good hotdogs and italian sausages, but you have also contributed to feeding the birds on the bc campus. Well done. Therefore, a 4 star review! ps. Their sausages are pretty good and do warrant a high review… especially after a few drinks.

If you are gonna go to Fenway park or the surrounding area for a Sox game, the experience cannot be completed without a Che-chi’s hotdog or italian sausage(or both!) As a true BC Eagle, I had my first Che-Chi’s hotdog on a drunken weekend night as I stumbled across the holy St. Ignatius Church. I didn’t remember a thing from the possibly wonderful party that night, I didn’t know where the heck I actually got the money from, and god knows(literally) where I was going wondering around Comm ave at that hour, BUT, I DO remember the divine tastiness of my first Che-Chi’s hotdog. Ever since that first bite, I was hooked like a serious addict and I would wait for the Che-Chi dudes to visit campus each weekend and get a nose full of the fresh grill smell of hotdog, chicken, sausages… etc with the peppers and onions… and then i’d have to take some time to decide which sandwich I should go for, it’s always a struggle. Some cool things about this hotdog stand is that, a) Che-chi’s make their own secret sauce for the sandwiches and I have no idea what this secret mix is(even when I am sober, I promise, I usually am), but it’s a perfect balance of hot, sweet, salty, smokey and tanginess all in one. b) They sometimes give you a free bottle of beverage with any sandwich purchase, which I think is a great deal around Fenway park. Che-Chi’s is definitely one of the fondest memory of my BC days.
