Best chicken Caesar salad wrap hands down. Super consistent too, as I’ve being saying that since I started working in Boston in 2000. Used to get business lunches catered by them and people would fight over the Caesars. The Beth Israel location has great outdoor seating(sun and shade) and plenty of indoor, too.

I had a hard time finding this but I called and JO helped me navigate here. I’m in love. She is amazing and helpful above and beyond and me and my mothers food was superb. She had the salad bar(great selection) and I had the Asiago roast beef sandwich. Thank you JO and the rest of this establishment!

This is a solid place for lunch if you work at one of the hospitals. The burritos are not bad. What i like is that they don’t weigh the salad containers and you just stuff what you can into it. The sandwiches are not bad. The food is not super tasty but again, if a hospital employee its the best lunch option in the area.

I could deal with how overpriced and over processed their food was if the employees had any semblance of customer service or even clean appearance. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rung out here with the cashier having a full-on conversation on his or her cell phones while at the register, or paying more attention to texting than ringing out the line. Honestly, the hospital could easily find a better replacement, and I wish they would.

This is a mixed review. My son(8) loved his turkey and cheese on ciabatta. My husband who will eat just about anything and not complain said his sandwich-roast beef on asiago– was okay, but it was so swimming in sauce/mayo that the meat kept slipping out. I, on the other hand, was completely disappointed. Here’s why: 1. the staff had shut down most of the salad bar 45 minutes before closing. No salad dressings were out and over half of the salad bar was empty. Since I was being charged full price, it would have been nice to have the full range of options. They were so busy trying to close the restaurant before closing time that it was very off putting. 2. The Souper Salad I remember from out west was AMAZING. The salad bar ran the length of the restaurant. There there were 4 kinds of soup to choose from. Always yummy. There were also about 5 kinds of bread to choose from. Corn bread. Ginger bread. Those crazy good rolls like at texas roadhouse –you know the ones I am talking about. All of was available for one low price and all you can eat. This Souper Salad was so far from what I remember them being that they shouldnt be able to have the same name. Sad, sad day.

Of the limited options for a quick, non-fast-food lunch in the Longwood area, Souper Salad is about the best. They have a decent, albeit tad expensive, salad bar & offer a variety of sandwiches, wraps, burritos, & soups. Service is generally quick, & the staff is friendly. There is seating inside; although during peak lunch hours(i.e., 12−1pm), it can be tricky finding a place to sit. During the spring & summer, there is also seating available outside, which I recommend taking advantage of – you can soak up the sun while people watching on Brookline Ave. Tidbits: –If you love chocolate & peanut butter desserts, try their peanut butter cup cookie. –To avoid the lunch rush, come around 1:30pm.

I love Souper! This is one of my go-to lunch places during the week — it’s right around the corner from my office, and I appreciate the following: 1) AWESOME salad bar. I love that they have the basics plus options like roasted sweet potatoes, quinoa, marinated mushrooms, chickpeas, soy beans, etc etc. 2) Sandwich selection is decent — good quality bread and meat, sometimes a little overstuffed 3) Catering available — I use them for work and they are really fantastic — Not sloppy or soggy, decently priced, and the best part is that everyone is SO friendly — the catering manager(Sam?) and the girl who delivered the food were both friendly and helpful, even though I had a smaller order than is typically allowed. Much MUCH better than the ABPs and Subways that are scattered throughout the area.

Perfectly acceptable substitute for the horrible, horrible cafeteria. But blows my mind they’re not open on weekends. Seriously? You guys would make a MINT being the only decent option IN-HOUSE. True, most of the clinics are closed, but there’s an entire wing of folk that need to eat on the in-patient side.

I’m a tough grader for Unilocal– so to be fair, this is probably more a 3-star place by most standards. It is OK. nothing special, nothing horrific. I got the Athenian Greek Chicken wrap– the lettuce was very fresh and the wrap was tasty, but the chicken seemed processed and unappealing, and there was far too much salad dressing. They have a good selection of options and will allow you to customize your order. I haven’t tried their baked goods, but they look delicious, which could push this to a 3-star place in my book. I also like that you can order online and your food is ready when you get there. Great feature for those working in the area and trying to grab a quick lunch!

Expensive, but I don’t care. It’s worth the trip if you want to build a large, heavy-duty salad with just about anything combined. Dressings are luxurious and creamy. I have never eaten anything else here but salad.

Okay, so I technically haven’t *been* to this place, just stuffed my face with one of their delicious wraps, which was kindly brought to me by a friend. I got the Bostonian, and it honest to goodness tasted like Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing, something that tasted like stuffing… all in a wrap. Amazing. Make sure you grab extra napkins, though, because these things are kind of messy.

Chicken Ceasar Walkabout=good! I’ve eaten here for years and always stop by for one if I’m in the area. I always get the same thing cause its so damn good. Get it with ‘less dressing” cause sometimes they can really glob it on and it overpowers the wrap.

Souper Salad is a great place to visit when you want a really, really big salad for $ 7. As others have noted below, they do not charge by the pound, but by the size of the container. You may select either the smaller $ 4 container or the larger $ 7 container. Pile on as much of their delicious salad selection as you like! They have a nice array of veggies and some other tasty bites like potato salad, egg salad, etc. As someone else mentioned below, yes, the best strategy is to start with heavy items then pile your lettuce and leafy veggies onto the top, use all your might to pop the lid on the container, and voila, massive salad for $ 7. If I’m not particularly hungry for lunch, I get the $ 7 salad, eat half for lunch and save the other half for dinner. While I don’t normally like to spend $ 7 on lunch every day, you definitely get your money’s worth if you pack your salad strategically. Bön appetit! Also, I love how they keep the outdoor patio open into the late fall. Great for people who like me who don’t mind the cold so much.

As with most eateries in the Longwood area, this place is wildly expensive when it comes to lunch food. Not all of us are rich doctors with bling, beamers, and Brookline mansions! Anyways I’ll tell you a secret… the salad bar here is pretty amazing. They have a good selection of items and it’s a $ 7.00 flat fee for all you can fit in one of the plastic containers they provide you. If you’re creative with your salad building architecture you can definitely fit a massive amount of salad bar items into that container. I recommend starting with the heaviest things first on the bottom and working your way up to the greener leafy items. Don’t worry about mixing right away, you can do that when you get to your table. Good luck!

It does the job, and it’s way better than the BI caf. But I just wish they’d mix it up a little with the soup selection — I can only have Carrot & Broccoli so many times. Salad bar is great, and it’s especially fun to see how much you can pile onto a small 4 $ plate(hint: skip the ruffage and go straight for the roasted mushrooms). The wraps are massive, and i’ve been told the country chicken salad is the way to go. Impossible to find a place to sit in the winter though.

This is a great lunch spot if you are in the Longwood area. Great assortment of oven fresh pizza, hearty soups, and a salad bar that rivals the Sizzler’s. They have a nice patio right outside if you happen to stop by in the summer.

Good salad bar with many items, including bread you can toast. Plus the maximum price for a salad is $ 7, so don’t be afraid to pile it on! The soup is tasty, but a little expensive; the pizzas are actually pretty good and cheap. The overall experience is good, but not as many options as the Children’s Hosptial cafeteria. It can get pretty crowded during lunch. Outdoor seating in the warm weather.

Great place to go for lunch if you work in the medical area. There’s lot’s of variety from chicken pot pie, many different types of soup, salad(of course), wraps, sandwiches, etc. A little pricier than the cafeteria, but worth it. It’s not a very big place though so finding seating in winter is tough.
