The chef, Erwin, came to our table and asked what we were wanting and said he would make something special for us. Amazing bolognese dish for us! Yummmm!

Margerhita flatbread was awesome and so was the porkchop w/risotto. The service was great and everyone was so nice. If you want REAL Italian food come here… ask for Rebecca!

We found them on Unilocal so it was only fitting to leave a review. The Buratta was to die for! Bartender was super friendly, the atmosphere was comfortable! The rest of our food was good! You can’t go wrong in the north end and I would come here again!

We just got through walking the entire Freedom Trail and wanted just a glass of wine(we had a bite to eat about 40 mins earlier). Stopped here after a few other places said we had to order food as well. After siting down, we ordered a couple glasses of wine that turned into ordering a burrata and another couple glasses of wine. Kevin, our server, was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and extremely hospitable. I really can’t say enough about how amazing the customer service was, not just from our server, but the bartender, Tucker, as well. The restaurant is extremely clean(a big selling point with me) and modern as opposed to the surrounding restaurants. Too bad our friends that we are visiting made reservations on the other side of the city, or we’d stay here. We might just have to come back here tomorrow night.

10⁄10 for their amazing pasta dishes. My friends and I waited for 20 minutes for a table — it’s a small space, so not a lot of tables — but I swear they served us delicious food and we mowed it down in less time than that. I had the Tagliatelle ai Funghi and the pasta was a dente and the wild mushrooms and light but creamy sauce — everything just came together perfectly!

Fine small spot we happened upon on the 2nd night open before the U2 concert and enjoyed the open front and the menu looked great. We were really pleased with the quality of the food and the variety offered. The portions were ample and the wine list was fine. Really pleasant ambiance and knowlegeable and helpful waiters.

Keep walking! We came in late on Saturday night. The staff was friendly but the food was just not good. Polenta cake had a weird taste, pasta pomodoro was canned tomatoes with a watery bottom, bolognese was OK but not not fresh pasta. In an area with such good food it’s not worth it even if you are hungry and there is a wait everywhere else.

Saturday night and every restaurant on Hanover Street was packed! Asked a couple of firemen that were sitting outside where they would go and they suggested trying Salem Street. While walking and trying to decide where to eat, my wife and I were greeted outside by a very outgoing hostess that asked us if we were interested in dining there.(This is definitely a family run business as we later found out she was the owner’s daughter.) We were seated right away and had a most enjoyable evening. Some highlights: 1) Great service from Veronica! 2) Very friendly staff! 3) Lobster Ravioli was amazeballs! 4) Cavatappi alla Bolognese was awesome! 5) Live music from the accordion and violin duo was a great touch. 6) We both ate with drinks for under $ 100.

Wait staff Kevin drew me into this new restaurant with his enthusiasm. I thought he was an owner. Knowledgeable about the menu, wines etc. chef/owner Alex crafted our meals. Flavorful, and yummy. Perfect service timing. We had specials, and for a Monday they had several. Gnocchi was light as a feather … Not the usual need a forklift to eat. My chic and eggplant parm, simple dish, but soooo good. Sauce was extraordinary. Support them. You’ll enjoy it.

EDIT: Received threatening message from owner. Do not recommend! Shockingly Terrible Food in the Boston’s Historic North End I was shocked by the food we had here: they serve frozen fish(we had the flounder), served turkey and called it chicken(not sure why they would do this), I got pasta with sausage which had the culinary«pizzaz» of what my three year old cousin could do with an Easy-Bake oven. While the service we got from the bartender(we sat at the bar) was good, the speed of the kitchen was crawling. Two waitresses sat beside us munching on bread as many of the table’s around us were waiting for their food for upwards of an hour. I normally do not mind long waits but this was extraordinary. It is at this point, a month later, where I feel comfortable to write this review. It’s also at times like these I wish I was a stronger writer so that I could portray how disappointed my friends and I felt that night getting the food we did. Hopefully, the experience we had with this restaurant was extraordinarily different from their normal service, as many of the reviews and photos of food look wonderful, but from my experience on that night in late February, I strongly advise considering other restaurants on the street.

Whenever we have friends in town we always take them to the north end for dinner. So far, it’s been good, but nothing spectacular. I picked this place with pretty low expectations last night; it was the first place I saw with an open reservation at the time we wanted to eat. It was PHENOMENAL I want to go again for lunch today! The service was great, the food blew my mind(I got the gnocchi– made with ricotta! Amazing!) The service was wonderful. We were seated on time. Definitely the next time we’re back downtown with friends this place will be our choice!

Only had drinks here tonight. Nice small bar. Good service. They even had an accordian player. Would go back for the food sometime.

My wife and I were looking for a new restaurant to try in the North End and ended up at Rigoletto’s. This ended up being a decision we would both come to regret. Other than the bartender, the service was awful. It appeared as though the entire staff was leaving the bartender out to dry. There was no management to speak of and no one helping to bring out the food. The bartender had to go to the kitchen multiple times to beg the cooks to get her food ready and she had to get the bread prepped and cut on her own. It was apparent that she was stressed out and overwhelmed when we talked to her. If the management and staff worked near as hard as she was working, this might be a decent restaurant. However, I don’t see this place surviving in a neighborhood littered with great restaurants.

What a great place to eat. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. A great young staff of wait servers made the m experience very enjoyable. Full of energy, knowledgeable, and attentive. This is a little restaurant on Salem Street in Boston’s North end with very little parking, but if you are creative you’ll find a spot. I had the seafood risotto for my meal with polenta as the appetizer. We left to go find a place for dessert, but in the end we came back to this restaurant because the dessert menu was the best around.

Food is WONDERFUL. Service however was incredibly slow and we were one of only two tables seated in the entire restaurant. Our meal took two hours and we shared a salad and a large pizza and had espresso with one dessert. The lime cake special was amazing.

I got treated right since the moment I walked in, the place is lovely, the food was amazing, and I got treated like royalty between Nestor, Carol and John I felt right at home. I recommend this place with my eyes closed. They made my night and my mom Birthday dinner turn out to be perfect! Thanks

Stopped in for a drink and some charcuterie on a REALLY cold day in November — we were the only ones in the restaurant since it was midday, and so we chatted with the manager, who was extremely friendly and hospitable, and the restaurant was very cozy. I enjoyed my wine and felt that they have a very affordable menu. I’d stop by again

Literally made a 9:00 reservation, it is currently 9:27 and not even close to being seated. Poor management, we are not the only tAble facing this struggle. We were seated at around 10:15, even though we had a confirmed reservation for 9:00. They didn’t even do anything to compensate(discount, free appetizer, etc). You’d think after making us wait so long the service should be top notch, but we never got waters and the couple next to us never even got flatware though they waited TWOHOURS for their table. The food was okay, probably on par with the other places in this area. Overall, very poor experience and food was not good enough for the extremely poor service and management. Still cannot believe we were lied to to keep us there waiting, I would have preferred to have eaten McDonalds by then instead of being kept waiting for 50 minutes longer than they previously estimated. Please avoid if you can unless you like long waits even w reservation.

We stopped by for just a drink and an app and I am so glad we did! The had a nice wine list that was very reasonably priced. I had an Italian white for $ 5. Our app was absolutely amazing! Like one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had! It was toasted bread with fresh homemade ricotta, red pepper flakes, and a truffle honey drizzle. The truffled honey though!!! It was amazing! Honey in my mouth! I want that sh*t on everything!!! Get this what ever you do! Staff was nice and place was clean and cute. Highly recommended!
