This place is one of my favorite places to get a true italian style sub. I swear the sub rolls are close to 14 – 16 inches in length. They are reasonably priced, considering the amount of food that goes into each of their subs. They also taste fresh like the bread was baked that morning. They are located on a side street just off Hanover Street on the North End. If you have room for some sweets after consuming their large subs walk across the street to a 24 hour bakery that has killer sweet-tooth pleasures.

Worth checking out when the line across the street at Monica’s is too long. At least Dinos has places to sit. Solid italian sub, but the pasta dishes are better.

Oh my god. Before I get to the food I’ll start off with how get got me into the restaurant. I was visiting Boston for a family members graduation and we were looking for a place to eat. We were hitting all the highly ranked Italian places suggested on Unilocal, and we made a stop at Dino’s. We were readying the menu from the outside window and we noticed the cashier waving us in. His smile was alluring so we walked in. It may not be much to look at, when you see all of the very elegantly decorated restaurants around Dino’s, but we were so fortunate to have passed by and took the chance waking in. We ordered the meatball sub, baked fettuccini, lobster ravioli, and spaghetti. Now I’m from Los Angeles and my family goes hard when it comes to spending money to get good food and great service. The food here was delicious. The service was unforgettable and I’ll be adding this location to my itinerary for my next trip to Boston. The manager actually made it a point to catch the neighborhood regulars walking by the window to ask how they are and say looked like he remembered everyone that revisits. I can’t wait to try something different the next visit.

Dino’s is quite possibly my favorite Italian stop in the city for several reasons. In the north end there is always a wait, not at Dino’s! The service is fast and the food is just as good as any fancy restaurant in the area, and for 60% of the price. The setting is casual but the food does not lack in quality. I have had several pasta dishes here and have never left disappointed. After falling in love with the pasta, I discovered the heavenly meatball sub, which changed me life lol. Easily The BEST meatball sub I have ever had! Be warned, it is enormous in size.

Touring Boston and found this gem. Owner is so nice! Had the meatball sub — one of the best I’ve had. Meatballs were savory and the marina sauce was perfectly spiced. A must try if you are in Boston!

OHMYGOSH! Demolished the meatball sub with my husband, and we both felt full. Although considering he could eat probably two by himself(and still weights barely anything), he probably could have had some more. However, we both left feeling satisfied. It was delicious and such a great price for such a HUGE sub! I loved the meatballs and the bread they serve it on. I want to go eat one right now…

I came here with my family and we loved it! It’s a small«order-at-the-counter-and-sit-down» type of place. I got the chicken pesto sub; my dad and sister got the chicken parm sub; and my mom got the Greek salad. We all loved it. Reasonable prices, very fresh and big portions, and great service. I will be back.

Little hidden gem in the north end. I tried the chicken parm sub, 16 inches so good. Friendly staff & good service. Slick Steve got the chicken pesto with cheese sub, it was homemade pesto too SS said it was GREAT!!! Will revisit.

I go to Dino’s at least once every time I’m in Boston. I’ve gotten pasta there, but I go exclusively for their Caesar salad. It’s my favorite!

Delicious deli! Always fresh, friendly and clean. The subs are also HUGE, and make good leftovers.

Boy am I thrilled that I stumbled upon this gem of a place on a lazy if not chilly Sunday afternoon. Located on a corner in the north end this small yet cozy restaurant offers delicious and affordable Italian, and while I sat enjoying lobster ravioli with some of the best garlic bread I’ve ever had in my life, several individuals came in to pick up everything from traditional pasta dishes to subs. The individuals working here we’re extremely friendly to, without feeling forced, the service was expedient and I simply couldn’t ask for more delicious meal! The next time I am in Boston I will certainly be coming back here and bringing family and loved ones as well.

Came to Boston for the weekend with my beautiful lovely wife, we came in thinking it was a pizza shop. They guy behind the register says it’s not and that«pizza is bad for you» should of been a sign for us to walk out, but my wife goes and orders a baked ziti with broccoli and cheese and I go and order a meatball sub, the wait was ridiculous 30 minutes, and also the sub wasn’t so good, the meatballs tasted like something out of a chef boyardi can and my wife’s ziti tastes like grass with melted cheese on it, the bright side is that I went home and pounded her right after. I love you babe.

Had the meatball sub, garlic bread with cheese, and cappelini pomodoro and all three were PHENOMENAL. I will be going back soon.

Dino’s is a hole-in-the-wall. You’d nearly miss it even though it is right on the corner of the street! It is a small restaurant with room for roughly 20 seats, perfect for takeout or a casual lunch/dinner. A classic Italian restaurant, they serve everything from pasta risotto to salads and sandwiches at a very cheap price. Seeing that their specialty sandwiches took up one whole side of the menu, I had to try one. + MEATBALL: The 16″ meatball sub was served on French bread with provolone cheese and marinara sauce. This is the best bang for a sandwich buck I have had in a really long time. This sub is literally the size of an entire arm, perfect for two meals or for sharing! Best part? It’s only $ 10 before tax. My friend got the baked sandwich with eggplant parmesan, which takes longer to make because they bake it in the oven, but it comes out crispy and steaming. The cheese was melted, and the bread was crunchier. When I come back, I’m definitely getting the chicken cutlet parm on a baked sandwich!

You would never think that this little place can pack such a flavor that can compete with the most expensive restaurants in the North End. Dino’s is absolutely amazing. We ordered the baked gnocci, chicken, ziti, and broccoli, and Fettuccini with sausage. Each dish was packed with such authentic flavor. The restaurant owner welcomes you in like you are family and will joke with you without reserve. Dino’s is a family establishment that I would recommend to friends and family!

Yum! I had been pining away for a traditional meatball sub, which are impossible to find on the West Coast. One key ingredient is the bread, which is PERFECT at Dino’s. Totally enjoyed my sandwich and my husband liked his multi-cold cut sub too. Warning that they are huge, so if you’re going to be walking around after and don’t want to carry leftovers, you’ll probably want to split the subs. Also a warning that there are no bathrooms that they let patrons use, which sucks.

On my last visit I ordered the Chicken Pesto sandwich and was shocked at how large it was(~16″!!) I could barely eat half and it took me another two meals to eat the other. Great value for the price. The sandwich was very simple – baguette bread, grilled chicken breast, fresh tomatoes and pesto. It was refreshing to see a sandwich with no added mayo or cheese taste so delicious. The star of the sandwich was definitely the pesto: very fresh and tasty. I also always try a bite of my mom’s or sisters’ gnocchi and it’s always perfectly doughy and delicious. I’d recommend if you were in the mood for something richer. The place is very tiny – only 3 – 5 tables, so beware of bringing large groups. However, service is very quick(5 – 10 minutes if it’s not busy), and the food is good!
