Great place, great food. Indira was our server and she was truly amazing. She took such great care of us. The food was amazing as well. I’m glad I took it upon myself to not listen to some of the other reviews. Being from NJ the New England Clam Chowder was so tastey.

Waitress refused to split our check after spending over $ 100 on food. She had a terrible attitude and clearly wanted to be anywhere but work. Manager was no help and hostess informed us that«No restaurants in Boston will split checks because it takes away from their tips». Surprising that tips are more important then costumer satisfaction… Will not be going back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Plenty of much better restaurants around the corner in southie.

Stopped at this little place in Boston on the way to Nantucket. I see mixed reviews and I am slightly surprised. My experience here was lovely. It was just 2 of us dining. Our waitress was lovely and very quick in getting our drinks and taking our order. We started with the Freeport scallops in bacon and fried calamari. Both were a great way to start. The scallops wrapped in bacon were perfection. We followed with a shared cranberry and goat cheese salad. The sweetness of the cranberry mixed with the slight tanginess of the goat cheese is a sweet surprise for your mouth. Main courses were Lobster mac n cheese and Seafood Nantucket. Both were wonderful. The Seafood Nantucket was filled with scallops, shrimp and fish(haddock I think) with lemon, mozzarella and garlic butter. The Lobster mac n cheese… what else can I say but LOBSTERMAC N CHEESE!!! We had a very lovely and pleasant time. Outside is a fish pond, tiki torches and a firepit. We will visit again next time we are passing through.

Attended a buffet after a funeral. They had chicken, broccoli and ziti as well as pepper steak. Both were well below par. By the time we got there I was hungry and immediately went up to the buffet. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find more than two or three small pieces of chicken and the steak was tough, full of large amounts of fat and grizzle — totally inedible. At least the salad, and vegetables were tasty and the dessert of cookies and brownies was good. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

I have been here a few times since I had some work in Boston so I was staying at the nearby hotel. Overall the food was good but the service is lousy. Each time the server barely is able to go over my questions about the menu. I order a soup, main and soda. I have almost always got the soup before soda. Not once have I been offered a refill or even been asked if I want another beverage. Normal the main comes out, they didn’t bother to take my empty soup bowl, or mention a beverage. After I’m done with the main, wait 15 min before I see the waiter again to get my check. Does a drive by with the check does not even ask if I might want dessert. Then another 15 min before he return even though I was reaching for my wallet when he dropped the check off. If he had waited a minute I would not have wasted 15 of mine. Of course let’s not forget this entire time I have been thirsty. Good thing there was a convince store next door!

Food is decent, I went when there was nobody there. Beers are a little pricey.

Worst meal I have ever had. Don’t even waste the time! Had to send back two drinks and two meals. No manager ever stopped over to even apologize for everything. Sent a email In and got no response. Almost as if they don’t even care. Find another spot to go.

A co-worker and I arrived for lunch at 12;30. Each of us ordered a burger shortly after being seated. After 10 minutes we saw that people in the room were complaining about having been sitting for a while waiting for their food. The server comes by at 12:45 and tells us our food will be right out. At 12:55 the people in the booth behind us start to loudly complain about the wait. The manager finally brings out their food and it is wrong. At 1:05 we decide to leave since we had a meeting at 1:45 and couldn’t be late. We slotted a bit over an hour for lunch and the restaurant could not even serve 2 burgers in 35 minutes. So we remained hungry and mad for the rest of the afternoon. We told EVERYONE at work what happened and they were glad they have now been warned and will not spend their lunch hour in this place. No apology for waiting, no explanation for the lack of food. Fortunately, we only had water so we simply walked out. And on the way out none of the workers were within eyeshot of us. Bad, bad experience. I will never return.

Pretty good: lobster roll was good — a little too much dressing, the steak tips were excellent, steak fries were good too. It’s certainly not cheap but was good quality. We had excellent service from Nelson. The atmosphere in the tavern is nice too — nautical décor. If not for the prices, I could see us going back but it’s too pricey to be a regular stop.

Our food was okay but nothing special. I got a margherita pizza which was basically just a cheese pizza. We also ordered the loaded steak fries expecting real cheese but they used something like velveeta… definitely not as appetizing as I had hoped. The waitress wasn’t exactly friendly and rarely refilled drinks.

Went today for there Easter Brunch. There was a large assortment of food that was cooked very well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Slow service, mediocre food. Decided to try this restaurant during the Snowpocalypse of 2015. Had the dining room to ourselves but were ignored for the majority of our meal. We got tired of waiting for our bill considering we were the only people in the dining room. No exaggeration. So we ventured into the bar area to ask for our bill or find the server. Won’t be coming here again-can’t imagine craving the food or fantastic service.

Wow! How interesting that right after I write a bad review, Melissa L. pops up again right above me with the same bar picture and raving about the place. I have a feeling that Melissa L. is actually the middle aged, male manager. I wonder if the DA needs to get involved? To reiterate what I’d said before: Never had a worse experience. Waited 15 minutes before going to the hostess to request a waiter see us. Ordered lobster mac and cheese. 5 bites in a disgusting, unidentifiable chunk of meat was found in it. Sent it back too disgusted to eat anything else. After quite some time the manager came to see us. Were the first words out of his mouth an apology? No. It was an accusation that I had eaten all the lobster out of it and then sent it back and a justification that they buy lobster at market price. I told him he was an idiot and he asked me to leave. Also, a few weeks before we had gone for trivia night. Upon trying to use the bathroom I retreated in horror because there were whole feces all over the floor. At least that time the waitress had the good sense not to involve the manager. Instead, she apologized, had it cleaned and gave us a drink.

Where do I begin… How do you screw up a roll with butter. It was a cold hard dry roll… WOW!!! At least our kind waitress brought us a roll after the bartender failed to procure an old-fashioned and a dirty cucumber martini. My old fashioned tasted like a watered down whiskey lacking some bitters, whilst the so called cucumber«dirty» martini tasted like a pathetic glass of sugar water… And the two burgers we ordered which fell apart as our mouths proceeded to bite down on previously frozen ground beef lacked juiciness and FLAVOR!!! How do you screw up a burger, mixed drinks and a roll with butter. The only reason I paid my bill was for the charismatic atmosphere the waitress provided.

Pretty ticked off right now. Wanted a simple cheeseburger after my husband picked me up from the airport. He suggested here because it’s close to home. I was indifferent and hungry. Stood at the hostess desk five minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. The hostess came out and was trying her best to get us to sit at the bar explaining that they were so busy earlier the dining room is a mess. We said okay, we can wait a minute while they clear a table. She goes away and comes back and said it’s still a mess and not vacuumed so we stared at her blankly until we realized she was basically telling us to leave. So… we left. Shocked. And won’t be back.

What a great experience! The bartender was very accommodating to play my Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game on one of the TVs at the bar even though I was the only fan. Orlando is the best, friendliest, and hardest-working bartender I’ve ever met. He has a very personable approach that makes every guest feel right at home. He doesn’t take any short-cuts and makes sure his bar is spotless and fully stocked. This was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend this place. :)

Went here because close to hotel and Unilocal reviews were ok. Asked waitress what beers they had and she said a few we didn’t recognize so I asked what kind of beers they were. Her response«I don’t drink». I asked for a drink menu and she said there’s a new manager who took all the menus. I ordered lobster roll it had way too much mayo. My husband had a combo plate that he liked ok but super spendy. I ordered tiramisu to go because it looked so good in the pic. Got to hotel and it was not the same as the pic. I couldn’t even eat it and wouldn’t have sent it back had I still been there. It was The worst dessert ive ever seen. like gas station old and warmand gross. The outside seating looked nice. I will not be going back but hope that new manager can whip it into shape!

Food — Nothing great. Tried the great white pizza which tastes more like a pasta on top of bread. The empanadas appetizers was creamy and not worth a mention in their chef specialties. Ambience — The place is well done. We took a table for four and it was spacious. The bar area looked great. But, nothig to beat the outside seating. Service — Not bad not great. Cost — ~15 $ per person without drinks.

We ordered Crab chowder, lobster pastas, and pizza. I like all of them. It’s a little bit noisy, but it is a bar and gas live band. I came there just for food and I enjoy it ! Walkable distance form the Ramada Inn. Didn’t notice about the parking.

Nothing to write home about. Steak wasn’t very flavorful and very overpriced. Waitress was trying to wait, serve and bus more tables than she could handle. They were short staffed because they didn’t expect many guests.
