I was wavering between a 3 and a 4, but am going with a 3 for now. Perhaps I’ll come back to visit again and see if that bumps them up. Went out to Quincy last night to meet up with a friend who was in from out of town. Port 305 was practically empty. We were sort of seated, and by that I mean the hostess kind of just pointed to where we should go. The prices were decent(beer was cheap, wine was expensive) but neither my husband nor I felt great after the meal. Maybe it was just that the food was too rich, but I don’t know.

Honestly… this place kind of sucked. We came in the day after thanksgiving at 2pm for lunch and sat at the bar. We ordered food and drinks. The beers were warm and the food was so/so. The guy bartender was good, but the annoying waitress hanging around the bar was obnoxious. She was trying to hit on him the entire time, and really annoyed all of us. At one point she was loudly trying to impress him by talking about how she loved doing«strikeouts», where she funneled beer and took a hit of weed. Classy. She was also talking about how she was excited to be turning 21 in 4 months and said«I’m already writing my obituary because it’ll be wild.» Then she put a cherry in her mouth and said to him, «Look, I tied a knot in the cherry stem. It’s like I’m in 8th grade again!» It was like a scene out of a comedy where the girl continued trying to impress the guy and he couldn’t care less. She was also complaining about the«lame» music the restaurant was playing. We paid $ 127 to sit there and listen to her complain and be annoying for 2 hours. She was also making fun of the one table she was waiting on. After her table ordered another round of drinks, she came to the bar and said, «that’s great, they can just get liver failure. As long as I’m making money in sales» and rolled her eyes. The whole experience was really a buzzkill. To top it off, there were a ton of annoying fruit flies all around the bar. We won’t be going back.

Port 305 is always a favorite spot of mine for cocktails and a great appetizer and/or meal. Stopped in last night and was pleasantly surprised with new menu items. The Mediterranean Salad was excellent and followed that up with the Mac & cheese — both so delicious! All dishes were enjoyed by all. Thanks!

Was there this weekend for my brothers wedding. The service was fantastic, especially Michelle who was friendly and very helpful. The salad and bread served were good. I wish the butter wasn’t rock hard but that’s really my issue, especially since the bread was piping hot. For my entrée I had the chicken, broccoli, ziti and the portion was small and it was pretty bland. My husband had the a cranberry stuffing stuffed pork and the meat itself as well as the mashed potatoes were delicious but the stuffing and the sauce that was spooned over the pork was way too sweet. Not sure if I would return.

Very disappointed. Went there last night with friends and sat outside on a high top. Put our drink order in and appetizers as well. The waiter Shawn asked if we knew what we’d like for our main course as well and we did so he took the order. The order came out pretty much all at once. When the person from the kitchen brought our main course out as we started our appetizers I told him to take them back, we just started the apps and there’s no room. He snapped at me and told me that’s too bad there’s no room in the kitchen and placed our food on an empty table next to us and left! My food sat outside on a table next to us! I was shocked! This restaurant first had no etiquette on serving and was only interested on making a quick turnover. I will never go to this place again.

Location is the only good thing about this place. My dad and I both got sick after eating the very mushy, very sandy steamed clams here. I tried two mixed drinks and both were terrible. Moscow mule too sweet. Asked for salt on margarita and got a sugar rim, ummmmm? Way overpriced. Slow service. Hated it.

Place on the water to grab drinks and people watch. There are other bars next door too. I don’t know if I would come here for dinner, but it’s a wonderful place if you are in the area!

Still very consistent. One of the great things about Quincy and South Shore in general these days is that you have so many options, with all the new ones popping up. I think Port 305 is doing an excellent job in managing the expectations and the crowds that throng Marina Bay — pretty much all year round, and especially during Summer time when it is super crazy busy, every day, for lunch and after work. And weekends can really get crazy. Went here the other day with the office crowd for lunch. Everything outside was packed given the gorgeous day. We managed to get a big table inside, with a fabulous view of the Boston Harbor, the marina and the skyline.(Again, another stellar point about this place — no matter where you are seated in the restaurant, you have great views!) I have to say our waiter was super awesome(dang I forgot his name!) He was juggling between a couple of tables and did an excellent job managing our table of 15 or so. Their food is very semi-traditional, American pub food with a good balance of seafood, and some international favorites. We started off with drinks and appetizers. Standouts: + Fried Calamari: What made this different from the traditional plate of fried calamari? Those yummy banana peppers. Simply Brilliant! + Chicken strips: This was a total surprise for me. Not a big fan on chicken tenders, but these were so moist, and I didn’t know I could use melt in your mouth terminology for the same. It was that good. My platter of fried clams and clams belly was so so so good. The chef knows the art of frying for sure. Other words to describe: Crispy, Fresh, Non-greasy. I pretty much finished every last piece of fried batter left on my plate — it was that good(Confession!!). The asparagus as one of my 2 sides was also grilled to perfection. The amount of crunch you feel with every bite, and even when you cut the ends with your knife — that’s an indication enough that you are getting some good grilled Asparagus. The Asian slaw definitely stole the show. So glad I got that and not any other side. The zesty flavors and minus the trace of cream of any sort — just what you want your summer side to be! Everyone around our table seemed to have enjoyed their main entrees. And it was quite good to see the variety of spread! Some of the positive comments from some of my coworkers: + Steak tips were to die for. + That was a massive, massive lobster roll. My expectations are really high the next time I have one(from a first time lobster roll eater) + Wow, that was huge for a personal pizza + Doesn’t get any better than this plate of fried clams(another coworker who got the clams) Me: Sorry, i couldn’t interview the others :) Great job indeed! There is a reason why this place is super packed every time I have been here. Shy of that one more star because — it seems like they need a few more people to handle the summer crowd! Else — please keep up the good work!

When next near Quincy, I’d go back to this seafood restaurant as the food, service, low noise level, and ambiance were all quite good. The Cioppino, a fish soup like bouillabaisse with scallops, mussels, shrimp and vegetables in a light tomato wine saffron broth, was absolutely delicious with just enough spice and very fresh. The seasoned asparagus was crisp and perfectly cooked. However, the mashed potatoes — a massive serving enough for two — were disappointing as not even hot enough to melt butter and lacking much taste. The entrée and two included sides were $ 18 which seemed a good value for the quality and taste. The service was friendly, attentive and accurate on a Monday noon when the place wasn’t very busy. The view of the bay, marina and Boston skyline was pretty and relaxing. Part of a huge marina, office, and housing development built in the past few decades, this place doesn’t have the interesting vibe of a classic New England slightly shabby seafood joint, rather more like a nice but bland chain restaurant. Parking wasn’t very convenient — a block away, but it was free.

By far my favorite place to sit and have drinks! My only complaint is the bar tenders, they serve you when they feel like it, it was a quiet evening this week and had to ask three times for a drink! This place is so beautiful but the staff are just not capable. The bartenders in the bar should be more experienced and know that there phones should not be used while working. From reading the past reviews it’s clear that the staff need some more training.

Came in and waited 10 mins to be seated. Gave up on the wait and sat at the bar. This was my first time here. The scenery is beautiful you’re looking out into the marina. As far as good goes we ordered chicken quas: pretty tasty and very much stuffed. Lobster roll: fresh and not heavy Steak tips: i like the marinade on this but was a little over cook for my pallette. Bloody mary: had the works.

I came here to Port 305 last night for dinner, and if it weren’t for the great company I had, I probably would have left this place fuming. I’ve been here several times before — it’s in a great location in the lovely Marina Bay, but this is the first time I can say I was truly disappointed by my experience here. The hostess who sat us was great, and we were seated right away. Our server came over fairly quickly to take our drink orders, and she brought out our drinks quickly, too. However, 15 – 20 minutes passed before she came back to our table to take our food orders. This is WAY too long. Strike one. Three of us ordered NE clam chowders, and as the server brought us our soups, the very first thing I noticed is that all three cups of clam chowder had almost an inch worth of space that had not been filled with soup. Essentially, we paid nearly $ 4 for cups of soup that weren’t even entirely filled. WTH? This is a BIG strike two. Yada, yada, yada — our entrees arrive. I ordered Port 305’s Roasted Pear & Scallop Salad for a cool $ 18.90. What I received was a small, mediocre salad with very little actual greens. For an almost $ 19 salad, I expected to at least have some salad(read: greens, maybe one pear and one scallop) left over to take home. NOPE. Wrong. Since my soup wasn’t even a full serving, and this salad was TINY, I ate the entire thing. For the price, this salad was not even close to worth it. Strike three, Port 305 — you are OUT. Moving forward, I will not be recommending this place to others, and I most likely will not be back any time soon this summer.

view of the marina is nice, service & food are ok. bourbon steak tips were flavorful. mac & cheese was fair — cheese was not über flavorful or cheesy. bordered on the white and runny side. our server didn’t know the pinot noir from the cab — and gave us the wrong ones. sounds wine snobby, i know, but was just the beginning of the small mishaps. i ordered sides for my son’s plate, but it was plated with my entrée. seems minor, i know, but added to the overall experience. we ordered dessert which was supposed to be fruit over angel food cake, and it came out as yellow cake. when i asked about the angel food cake, they said they were out. i would have preferred they asked before they brought it out to see if i still wanted it. this is a sleepy little marina, and maybe one of the sleepier restaurants. unfortunately, probably wouldn’t come back.

Came in to eat with my sister and husband and we were seated towards the back, which is fine. However, during our ENTIRE meal, we had to listen to one particular waitress complain LOUDLY about how mad she was that our waiter wouldn’t switch shifts with her. She then went on to argue with him, with explitives, and several other waitresses during our dinner. I finally asked if they could do that in private, seeing as it was extremely unprofessional. She didn’t like that. Our dinner was okay, some components of the meal were cold. We had to ask to get drink refills, probably because of the drama going on. Basically, I came for dinner, not dinner and a show. Had to rate this place low for such ridiculous employee standards.

My wife and I went for the first time on Valentine’s Day we had a very good meal. We will be back again soon! The service was very good and the prices were very good as well. We can’t wait to sit out on the deck when the weather gets better and warmer

We left Fish bones… too busy to wait on us. Walked over to port 305. Kristen the bartender met us with a cheerful smile and suggested an amazing Martini. Food was really good and an amazing staff… We are definitely coming back! Thank you for taking care of us after a bad experience at Fishbones.

Watch your credit card receipts after visiting this establishment. Servers will add to receipt and steal from you. Management will credit you, IF you’re lucky enough to catch it, but will make up a story about how it «mistakenly» happened that just doesn’t add up.(This has also happened to me at Fishbones. Beware of the Boardwalk!) Nice view though.

Good lunch spot on a nice day! The Lobster roll was a good time, and they have these nifty port fries that are like slices of potato

Marina Bay is more about the drinks and atmosphere than the food, but of all the restaurants Port 305 is by far the best. I love their skirt steak salad, it is my go-to. Great quality! If you are looking for something hearty and healthy, it won’t disappoint. Their Port Fries are nothing to brag about. They are a cross between a chip and a fry. Not worth the Calories, in my opinion. The last time I was here, my friend ordered the turkey club with sweet potato fries. You could tell the turkey was high quality deli turkey. She was really pleased with her meal. I used to order the mint martini, opted for ice tea last time. Though, if it is on the menu(they tend to rotate their martinis), it is worth a try. Service was good, not great Location is fabulous, especially for a warm summer day.

Came here kind of late on a Tuesday, after just arriving into town. We decided to sit outside, since they had the patio covered and with heat lamps. We ordered drinks and the Pot Roast, Grilled Marinated Steak Goat Cheese Spinach Quesadilla, Grilled Blackened Chicken Pasta, and the Burger. I found the pot roast to be very tasty but they included too much of the fat in my bowl(I know you should keep it on while cooking, but a heaping portion in my serving dish is kind of gross and displaces the actual portion of meat that I would eat). The quesadilla was also quite tasty, but the crappy low budget salsa they included with it, completely ruined the dish(think Sysco salsa you would never buy let alone eat). The pasta was a bit too oily at the bottom IMO but the person who ordered and ate it enjoyed it. I didn’t try the burger. Our accompanied sides of Port Fries and Butternut Squash were pretty good, though. Service was really sub par, unfortunately. Waters weren’t refilled, no one checking on our meals, and a bit of an attitude. They brought out the wrong side, then acted as if it was our fault. They never returned with our correct side until we asked for it 10 minutes into the meal. I honestly thought about rating this place two stars because of service, but I thought the pot roast and quesadilla don’t deserve low ratings for shoddy service. The potential is there for this place!
