My son and I wanted seafood while the rest of the family wanted burgers from another vendor. I got my order of the bacon wrapped scallops dinner, which is about 6 – 7 scallops on a stick and a handful of fries, almost right away, but we had to wait about 8 minutes or so for my son’s calamari order to come out. The rest of the family was halfway through their meals by the time we arrived at the very crowded eating area to eat our food. I could not taste the scallops, only the bacon, and bacon was so chewy and stringy I nearly chocked on it twice trying to swallow it. The fries were alright. I think this is the first time I ever struggled to force down bacon wrapped anything… Especially scallops. I was pretty disappointed with my meal for $ 12+, and wished I chosen from any of the other myriad of options… The Indian food smelled and looked really good as I was walking by with my plate of greasy scallops and fries… My son’s calamari, on the other hand, was freshly fried and hot, and nice and crispy. That wasn’t too bad. It’s likely hit or miss at the Fisherman’s Net.

Cheap eats but not a lot of flavour. Tried The NE Clam Chowder but it barely had any clam. When I asked the staff a question too she had no answer and told me she didn’t eat seafood! All in all it was a nice cheap eat.

Ate here on two occasions… first time had the seafood roll which was absolutely delicious. Second time around ordered the crabcakes with coleslaw and has some french fries really, really yummy! Definitely eating here again! Enjoy!

Had the fishermans platter. It was very mediocre. Everything was soggy. You’re better off getting your seafood fix somewhere else.

I ate there today and got food poisoning! I got the fisherman’s platter and an hour later I was vomiting. My first and LAST time. Horrible.

I am a local and stopped at this place quite frequently for fried clams, which were always really good. However, the order I got tonight was vile. The clams were soggy as though soaked in water, they were falling apart, and oil pooled in the plate. All I can figure out is they were left over from lunch and microwaved. Fisherman’s Net, you’ve lost a good customer. I will never return.

I’m so fussy when it comes to fried fish or any kind of seafood ! I had a fish and chips once and it was cooked so perfect, the fish was thick flaky it was hot and not greasy at all and the fries cooked just right. So I know it’s at Faneuil Hall and it’s busy but I had to have some scallops and fish. OMG I was going to bring my dinner home but I ate most of it driving home. The quality and the price is to good to pass up. The Best In Boston !

Yes Fisherman’s Net is in the touristy Quincy Market but it still serves up tasty seafood. Especially recommended is anything with clams in it — Ipswich Clams at that. The lightly fried whole Ipswich Clams are def a treat … especially with a little tartar and hot sauces accompaniment. Service is friendly and of course tables are available in the center of Faneuil Hall. Good place for a quick seafood meal!

Located in touristy Faneuil Hall, it was super crowded when we were there. I usually try to avoid the tourist traps, unless the food is that spectacular. Upon the recommendation of one of my girlfriends, it didn’t disappoint. Their clam chowder was amazing, but there really isn’t a comparison, since I’ve only had canned prior to trying their clam chowder.

Ordered a side of fried clams(Ipswich) since I was craving those briny, chewy, and tender bellies of joy. I don’t want no friggin’ clam strips. For about $ 10 I got a pretty decent serving for one. The guy at the counter offered tartar sauce but I was like«What the hell» and asked for a slice of lemon. I ended up not using it. The oil could be fresher but the clams were what I was after. Not too shabby for $ 10. If you’re round Fanueil Hall and wanting fried clam bellies, look no further.

I went to this place in search of some authentic Boston Clam Chowder. The information guide in Faneuil Hall recommend that I go to Fisherman’s Net for the best chowder. So at her recommendation went on my quest for the best Clam chowder, once I finally located Fisherman’s Net and received my cup of Chowder, I opened it to see the thickness and to add salt and pepper as needed. The first thing I noticed was the consistency was on point not too thick or watery. The salesman said be careful it already has enough. I tasted it and these were my exact words: Oh my Gawd! this is so good. Once this happened my hands started tingling(this is what happens when I taste good food then I start humming) That was my response to finding the best chowder. A customer near by was trying decide what to order once he heard my authentic Oh my Gawd. His decision was made he ordered a bowl too. I know he was not disappointed. You won’t be either. When in Boston get to Fishermen’s Net order a bowl of Chowder. You owe it to your self.

While strolling through the Quincy Market food court looking for a quick bite to eat before my concert, I finally decided on Fisherman’s Net, which was participating in the«Half Off at the Hall» promotion(specific items) through March. I got a Seafood Salad Roll($ 4.25/normally $ 8.50, tax included), which was quickly made to order. The good sized seafood salad sub was filled with a good amount of crabmeat, baby shrimp, & celery in a light mayo mixture(not too rich nor thick) in a chewy Italian sub roll, cut in half. This a pretty good tasting sandwich at a great price, just what I needed!

Went with the fisherman’s platter and side of chowder and it was a-ok. The oil tasted fresh which is always good. We had chowder many times on our trip and this location was thicker in consistency than other restaurants. Other than that touristy, straight forward, and for fried foods didn’t feel too crappy after.

Perfectly fried and delicious clams that came out hot and quick. Not sure what else to ask for in the context. Sure, it’s a zoo in here. Sure, it’s a little on the pricey side. But the guys behind the counter were friendly, answered my questions, flirted with everyone, were clearly having a good time, and added to a good atmosphere. I got local food from guys with amazing accents. I didn’t see fried clams anywhere else I went. I was in the middle of tourist hell and still got a meal I was happy with, didn’t have to wade through a line of 892 people to get it and was more than full with the serving size. All in all, in this context, I can’t imagine what much more you could want.

My first review from our recent Boston trip. Yeah, we had to try tourist chowder first. Based solely on the bread bowl clam chowder, it’s not bad for it’s location. It’s well balanced, with enough clam and not too much potato. Some of the clams pieces were really quite large in mine. The only thing I really didn’t like was the bread bowl. It wasn’t bad, but there is nothing like the sourdough bread bowls from Monterey and San Francisco.

Let me just say I’m not a fan of shuffling, nuts-to-butts through a place to eat something overpriced from under a heat lamp. I’m not sure if it’s the whole touristy thing or the sensory overload, but we were going to the aquarium and had just parked the car, we were hungry but not too hungry. We sucked it up and herded into the slow moving river of humans that is Quincy Market. I knew what I was in the mood for on that chilly afternoon… chowda. I chose Fisherman’s Net for no other reason except they had a counter person free up just as I saw they had the bread bowls. So I got the chowder in a bread bowl and a soda for about $ 12 including the tip. The bread was fresh and soft inside, with a good crusty outside and the chowder was actually pretty good with a lot of clams, well cooked potato and sweet cream. Simple and hot. Not the best I’ve had, but pretty good and as I noticed walking along, one of the better deals.

Got the Fisherman’s Platter. It came with Fried Cod, clams, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and french fries. Cod was nice and flaky, oysters were delicious, scallops were kinda rubbery as well as the shrimp(overcooked!). Fries were nice and crispy. Service was quick and food came out fast. Everything was okay and along with their tartar sauce it really hit the spot!

You can walk around for hours in Faneuil hall and not come to a good decision where to eat(it was then that I wish I had access to Unilocal, haha). My sister and I decided to go for the food court area and some place with a line(people go where there’s good food, right?). For food court food, I would say that Fisherman’s Net is A-OK. We got the ‘famous market fries’(nothing to write home about, they taste like thick-cut fries) and an clam po boy. The clam was crunchy, but I didn’t taste much oyster. At this point, though, anything tastes good after walking all over Boston.

This is one of several seafood spots in the Faneuil Hall food court, located in the half closer to the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. I recollected that this spot advertised skin on fries, and with memories of similar such fries from the Arsenal Mall of long ago, we placed our order for a fried clam plate which came with the spud and a little cup of a sweet creamy cole slaw for $ 10 something. Oddly enough, even though we were at the tail end of the lunch rush, no one else was waiting around by the time we looked up and realized that the clams were still MIA. Did they forget our order? We asked about it, and the clams arrived a minute or two later. I had to ask for a little plastic cup to self-fill with tartar sauce. When I inquired about a second cup for ketchup, they used their massive ketchup pump to fill it for me. Had past patrons proven themselves untrustworthy of helping themselves to these cups? Funny, the fries and clams were not as hot as I would expect given that they supposedly had just fried them up for us. The clams were okay in portion and taste, but the color of the french fries led my dc to suppose that they had been previously fried, and were then refried for serving. These fries were a disappointment given my recent more enjoyable experiences in the area. *** 2⁄2014 visit *** So the Faneuil Hall Marketplace is having a half off event called«Half Off At The Hall» for February and March, so I thought I’d give this place another shot. This visit was in the middle of lunch time and there was no line — in fact the entire marketplace wasn’t all that bustling, possibly because folks were huddling inside from the snow on the ground and the chill in the air. I ordered the Clam Strips Dinner & Fries: $ 5.85(Regular Price $ 11.70)(according to the site: )(it didn’t take long) and brought it back to work in a hurry. They had foiled the styrofoam plate to go. It was hot enough, but hardly any crisp to be had. The clam strips were reminicent of thick rubberbands in shape and in chewy texture. A few thinner pieces had some of the crisp I sought. Fries were also rather wimpy. The little cup of sweet crisp coleslaw was okay. Service was pleasant, but I do not recommend their clams of either variety(with or without bellies). I got to remind myself to try something else next time. *** 2⁄2014 visit #2 *** If first impressions were everything, things would be fine — service was friendly and prompt enough, as was the short wait for the food. However, when I got back to work and took out my seafood salad sandwich $ 4.25(Regular Price $ 8.50), that’s when things got interesting… You call this seafood salad made with 100% crab and shrimp? Just from the looks of it, it is over half chopped celery peppered with a scattering of tiny little shrimp, and I think I could differentiate some shredded meat that would be crab among the dressing. Just fyi — I hate celery. Not quite wih a passion, but with a childhood memory based dislike that proved correct throughout adulthood. So it was already on the wrong foot with me. Then, the sandwich came chilled. Meaning, the bread wasn’t toasted. After deciding to give this sandwich the benefit of the doubt, I picked up a half, only to find that the bread wasn’t sliced though — yes, that made it a bit messier to start off with as the remaining half tried to hold on to its compatriot. Okay, not as horrible as I feared. But we eat with our eyes before we eat with our mouths… and fortunately both(eyes and mouth) located more crab meat inside the actual sandwich than was initially showing when I had lifted the top of the roll. And while the celery added a nice crisp crunch between the softer chew roll, it didn’t assert itself as much in terms of flavor, which I very much appreciated. Yes, it was better than the fried clams and fries, but while that paper tray did a fine enough job in holding up the sandwich during our travels, it would have done diddily-squat in doing so while I ate it. Good thing I had access to a plate to catch all the seafood salad that fell out over the course of my meal.

Had a halfway-decent bread bowl of clam chowder here for $ 6 – 7. Nothing special, but a solid deal and a filling meal. Rhymes are free.
