Maybe I missed something here… Service was quick despite the line but other than that, there absolutely nothing to write home about. Lobster roll was just OK(for $ 21 flippin dollars) and the«chowda» wasn’t gross but not by any means exceptional. Since it IS Boston, I expected a more flavorful experience. Maybe next time… somewhere else for sure!

Goooood to know this place. The clam chowder was perfect and lobster roll was really fresh and awesome. The prices of foods are a little expensive among take-out stores but I do think that it is worth. I am planning to visit Boston again to have this meal again.

Stopped into Boston Chowda Co. for lunch while on vacation in Boston. I got a large clam chowder and really enjoyed it. The chowder had just the right combination of clams and other ingredients to provide a delicious bite every time. The potatoes are done in a small dice. After eating a lot of different chowders during the week, I had become accustomed to restaurants using the potato as a filler, with large chunks of potato dominating the soup. The other thing that I liked about this chowder is that it was not too thick. After reading more of the reviews, it looks like a made the right choice to get the chowder in a cup and not pay the extra money to get it in a bread bowl. I also had the lemon-aid which was very good and tastes like it was made with real lemons.

Nothing too amazing bread not made in house. I think it was a tad over priced but at least they load the bread bowl up. Clam chowder was good very creamy not fishy at all. Not sure where they make it had a shell or a rock in mine but wasn’t a big deal that happens when you eat clam chowder.

We finished the Freedom Trail and decided to eat here. We ordered the Hot Buttered Lobster Roll and three bowls of New England Clam Chowda. This was really just for the experience. Everything tasted great, but definitely over priced. Family said my homemade seafood chowder is way better.

When you visit Boston this is the one place you need to stop if you are looking for some traditional New England Clam Chowder. Their servings are plentiful and the lines are always big at this place but it is worth the wait overtime. You know the food is worth it when there is always a line. The chowder has the perfect thickness, nice chunky vegetables and lots of clams. You can get it in a cup or bread bowl(which is my choice). I only come here for the chowda so my review is focused on that. Check out the other reviews to see about their other food but they are always busy so that should tell you something.

Ordered Boston cram chowder. It was fine. Very plain and simple without any trick. Not special but really good to know basic cram chowder. 普通に美味しいです。 アメリカにしては量が少なめですが、いろいろなものを少しずつ食べるのにはちょうど良いです。

The clam chowda(chowder) is okay. But the lobster bisque is bad. The small soup is big enough for two people to try. So we got a small order of clam chowda and a small order of lobster bisque. We liked the clam chowder. The potato cubes were the right size and right hardness. There were some clams but we wish that there were more. Loster bisque on the other hand is not good. There were no real lobster pieces in it at all. The taste is kind of different. It feel like they put some cooking alcohol with it.

Delicious chowda. Wish the bread bowl had been a bit better. Crustier. More resembling a cloud on the inside. More like ciabatta or something. Or maybe just more chowder. Idk. But anyway, for what it is, it’s hot and delicious! So go for it.

We ended up at Boston Chowda because the restaurants we wanted to eat at for dinner had 4 – 5 hour waits(like, what?), but I was dehydrated and hangry so something had to be done. We honestly chose it because we were by Quincy Market and it had the most reviews, but you know what? Tourists know what they’re talking about. They kind of yell at you when it’s busy(Quincy Market was INSANE, which makes sense as it’s Memorial Day weekend), so when you’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown, that’s off putting. I ended up not ordering exactly what I wanted because they were kinda stressing me out(manager’s special of a cold lobster roll + small clam chowder + a drink). I got a cold lobster roll and my husband ordered a large clam chowder, so you can see where we went wrong. I’ll admit I’ve never had a lobster roll but felt very strongly it should be in Boston, so I can’t say whether this one was exactly how it should have been. But based on everything I’ve seen on the Food Network, it had all the elements. They used an authentic split top toasted bun(not a hot dog bun or hoagie roll), and there were huge chunks of lobster mixed with a small amount of mayo. Just enough to keep it creamy but not mask the lobster flavor. There was shredded iceberg as well, and I’d have preferred leaf lettuce because I’m a snob, but I liked the textural difference it added. Seriously, this was a GOOD sandwich(albeit pricey). My husband’s clam chowder was ridiculously good and goes down as the best clam chowder we’ve ever had. It was REMARKABLY creamy and velvety in texture. Despite being in a tourist trap, Boston Chowda has some really good food that comes out super fast.

3.5−4 stars for food. I ordered the corn chowder in a bread bowl and my boyfriend ordered the New England clam chowder in a bread bowl. The bread bowls tasted kind of stale and not soft which makes sense since they’re sitting in a bin next to the line(ew.who knows who’s sweat dripped on that) I put this thought out of my head while eating. Skip the bread bowl. Besides that the actual chowder was really good. The corn chowders good for anyone leery about clams and the clam chowder is really good too. It comes with oyster crackers. All together it’s so good, just get it in a normal bowl. 1 – 0 stars for location. I know there’s nothing really to be done about this, but I’d be much more likely to return if it wasn’t in the market. Something about walking through a group of sweaty bodies to get hot soup… Not to mention there’s no where to sit. 2 – 3 stars for customer service. Again I know it’s in the market where it’s busy and loud, but I would rather hear«I can help whoever is next» than someone screaming for the next person in line. I don’t really know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this. Overall I think this is a one and done kind of place and probably wouldn’t go back.

I see lots of good reviews on Unilocal but i didn’t see anything 4 start about here. The lobster roll was just ok. Nothing special about it, and clam chowder soup had to much potato in it. And at that night i had to check bathroom every 10 minute. I just give them 2stars because they were fast and taste was OK. Btw the staff were not nice at all. I’ll definitely stop at some other booth if i have to eat at Quincy market. And i believe it was very over priced.

I got the New England clam chowder in a bread bowl. The clam chowder was good, and there was a pretty good portion of clams. The bread was pretty good as well, although it wasn’t sourdough. A bit pricey at ~$ 9 post-tax, but I guess that’s somewhat expected at a place like Quincy Market. Would recommend! This shop definitely had the longest line too in Quincy Market.

Good solid Lobster salad roll, Buttered lobster rolla and clam chowder. I’ve had better clam chowder(thicker with more clams) but it was good nevertheless.

This was the busiest place in Faneuil Hall Market and, after eating their chowder, I can see why. We tried 3 or 4 different chowder places while in Boston and this ranked best among the quick service places. We also tried the hot lobster roll, which was delicious, but kind of expensive. I think we ended up eating here 3 times on our 2 day trip so clearly it was pretty good.

Quincy Market is like one long food court, and I wasn’t expecting to find anything special here. The lady and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite — some soup sounded nice on a cold day — so we checked to see what Unilocal had to say about the restaurants in this food court and decided to stop here. She got a cup a chowder, but I was looking for something a bit different and went with the lobster bisque. It was good — creamy with the hint of sherry or whatever it is they put in lobster bisque. I was disappointed in the lack of chunks of lobster and it was not the best bisque I have had. I think in the weeks since we were here, my memory of the bisque may have soured a bit. Seem to recall liking it better at the time, but as time has moved on, I’ve realized there’s much better bisque out there. Nevertheless, it is good and if you’re in a pinch and need something to warm you up, this is a good spot.

Despite the fact that the I paid $ 60 for two Managers special with two hot lobster rolls that come with a small clam chowder and a small drink, the lobster roll was actually good. The customer service was not that pleasant but the food was. I actually enjoyed the lobster roll here better than some other places around Boston. Beware, that the Manager’s special price is for the COLD lobster roll. There is an extra fee for HOT lobster rolls. I still dont understand how you can eat a COLD lobster roll.

It was a long journey to and in town but I think Boston Chowda company has finally redeem Boston somewhat –okay maybe just a little. After a day and a half of disappointments I was hesitant at first as this place seems like a tourist trap but I had no choice as my partner in crime has a certain affinity for a warm bowl of soup. The chowder was delicious and savoury with yummy bits of fresh clams albeit a little too creamy for my tastes but that’s the personal preference. The clams are fresh and squeaky with a slight briney taste like any good seafood. Potatoes nicely done in little cubes and I was impressed by the amount of clams in the soup. Everything else looked pretty delicious however we did not get the chance to try. Overall, I think this clam chowder is one of the better ones I’ve had in recent memory.

As all tourists, we decided to stop by Quincy market and try some Boston classics. Seeing that this place(and another pizza place) had decent reviews, we opted to dine here. My gf and I split the lobster roll combo with a side of clam chowder and medium soda(a little under $ 30). I thought both the lobster roll and the clam chowder were pretty average. It definitely does not deserve the hype with the lines extending to over double digits throughout the day. But with this place in the midst of essentially a tourist trap, I can see why this place is so popular.

One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. It is not overly creamy and there is lobster in every bite! The bun has been toasted on the grill with butter. Although I enjoyed the meal overall, I would suggest the bun to be less buttery because the butter slightly overpowers the lobster. There is also a lot of clams put into the clam chowder. Delish! I never use to like clam chowder until I tried this spot! This was the first place I went to, to grab a lobster roll when I got to Boston the second time around. Both the chowder and lobster roll together was less than $ 20 together!

I’ve visited Boston a few times and always make a point to stop into Quincy market and get a bread bowl from Boston Chowda! Even though Quincy can get super crowded, Boston Chowda has a good amount of employees working to push food out. I respect the quick service and not having to wait in line. This trip we ordered clam chowder in a bread bowl and lobster bisque in a bread bowl. The soup is always served in generous portions. The bread is fresh and compliments the soup. I only wish the lobster bisque had larger chunks of lobster.

CLAMCHOWDA in a bread bowl, please! This was the only reason we swum through the crowds at Quincy Market and their clam chowder did not disappoint! It’s a bit of a messy process to order despite their two registers but all was forgiven once we finally get that soup bowl(and a seat!).

My favorite place in the Quincy Market food court is Boston Chowda. I am obsessed. They serve the best soup and lobster rolls. I also love how they are always adding new delicious items to their menu. In addition, the employees are always friendly, despite the fact that they are always super busy. I usually get the Manager’s Special: a cup of soup, meal and drink. I like the New England Clam Chowder and lobster roll. I used to get the cold lobster roll, however, they recently started serving a hot buttered lobster roll on toasted bread that is divine! Boston Chowda also makes a delicious Lobster Mac n Cheese Pie. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The quality of their food is beyond impressive.

$ 20 for a lobster roll, small chowder, and drink combo. Roll was good until I tasted the lettuce. I ended up picking it out. Chowder was excellent, and the only reason why in giving this place 4 stars. The sandwich is $ 19.99 alone if you don’t a get combo…

I know it is very touristy to visit this place but seeing all the promising Unilocal reviews, I had to try and I was not disappointed. Only downside would be some attitude from the cashiers, but they are probably overwhelmed by the hectic line of people. The bread bowl clam chowder was so good! It was so creamy with lots of potato and clam. I hear the lobster roll here is to die for, so I will try that the next time I get the chance to visit Faneuil Hall in Boston. It is also pretty hard to get a seat in the dining area. Highly recommend this place for people visiting Boston!

*Manager’s Special: cold Maine lobster roll, clam chowder soup, and a soda for under $ 20. *the New England clam chowder here is phenomenal. It never disappoints. Try their lobster bisque as well! *the cold Maine lobster roll was mediocre in taste and in quality. Maybe I’m used to mine being more buttery and crispy, but the brioche roll they used just did not impress. *the deal itself is worth the try since an average price for a lobster roll anywhere is between $ 16-$ 20. But I will probably only come back for the clam chowder or lobster bisque!
