The gelato lady was super rude about giving samples. We had three people and she refused to give us more than two samples. The gelato was just ok, nothing special. Also overpriced.

Seriously, only one sample are you kidding me? C’mon think big picture here, we would’ve stayed here for gelato and(multiple) drinks, instead were at the much better café Vittoria that doesn’t skimp on this kind of crap we’ll give THEM our money much more worth the service.

Gelato is okay but do not get it in a cone. Also gelato lady was very rude and would only give one sample per customer even though we had already bought a scoop. Very unnecessary and silly. We left immediately and took our business elsewhere.

I love Paradiso — it’s a simple place, not too fancy, with an interesting menu and a lot of local flavor. It feels just like a bar(café) in Italy, rather than an Americanized version of one. I like the coffee, but my favorite is the menu of gelato-based cocktails. Try some grappa.

In case you are still waiting in that long line at Mike’s Pastry, then you’re doing it wrong. The cannoli’s at this Café are totally amazing. In addition, it helps that there’s seldom a lengthy line, and they’ve a full pub menu. Who does not adore a great cannoli and drink after a yummy North End dinner?

This place is cute in the summer. Great place for people watching, drinks, and Italian desserts.

Every time I go to Paradiso(which is often) I get the tiramisu. I’m still amazed at how good it is. Best I’ve ever had.

Delicious, authentic menu, centrally located with plenty of room. Very clean. Waitress was a little slow and ditzy, forgot to bring my order.

Cute place to grab a drink and/or dessert in the North End. When we visited, ordered the House Special Gelato(similar to a strawberry shortcake), cannoli and chocolate mousse. All were quite delicious. I would return!

So many International Flag! Went here for some desert and I got to eat again my Mille Feuille!(Fresh Pastry) My friend had the Deutsch Coffee –not bad. They have a long Meny of International Coffee for $ 8.50. If you miss your homemade coffee then come here! The waiter was so RUDE! Won’t come bacj because of this bad service although the pastry was good.

Yummy delicacies and a fantastic lemon martini made for a great end to a fun day in Boston. The window seat allowed us to people watch as we enjoyed our tasty treats.

Had amazing Affogato(espresso over gelato) with their chocolate gelato. Had great service, but was surprised by my bill of $ 9.10!

Very nice Cappuccino! Seems like a lot of Italian was spoken there; so I think it is like a coffee shop in Italy. Again, I thought the coffee was very good.

Was recommended that I had to get the gelato here, some of the best in the city. Having sampled a number of places I agree, Caffe Paradiso has excellent gelato! I showed up in between the lunch and dinner times, and so was easily able to find the gelato cooler and admire all the flavors. I sampled the Tiramisu and Pistachio, but ultimately decided on the Cookies and Cream and the Nocciola(Hazelnut). It was a warm, humid day out, and the gelato just hit the spot. So rich and creamy, very flavorful(not artificial either, a concern for some cookies&cream flavors). The price was $ 6.50, which is rather steep for gelato, especially with so many other stores offering in on Hanover street. I wouldn’t come here frequently for budget concerns, but among the gelatos I’ve tried in Boston, Caffe Paradiso has the best.

What an absurd experience. We walk in, and head to the back bar where the gelato case is. We’re looking at the gelato, and the woman behind the bar asks us «for here or to go?» I tell her for here, but we’re just ordering gelato and she gets impatient with me and waves me toward the tables saying the waitress will be with us if we’re planning on sitting. We go sit at a table, the waitress gives me a menu, and I am confused. Why am I ordering my gelato off a goddamn menu? Why am I not allowed to look at the flavors in a display, try a few that tickles my fancy, and get it in a cup and sit at a table like any other normal place? Instead, my group of three orders our gelato(up to three flavors) and we get served literally the smallest amount of gelato I have ever received for $ 6.50 each! It was literally three tiny mini scoops of gelato, served in a fancy looking glass dish in a poor attempt to justify the price. And because we chose to sit down we had to tip on our already absurd bill. What a downer after our amazing experience at Galleria Umberto down the street.

This was recommended by our North End Tour guide as having the best Sangria. I’m not sure if it’s the best, but it was not disappointing. Strong and refreshing on this hot summer day. I can’t give them 5 stars only because I didn’t try the food, but the quality of service was attentive and the environment was fun. We could participate in the one of the many parades that was going on, because of the el fresco seating. I’d recommend this to others.

Delicious cappuccino and chocolate gelato! I’ve been here twice this year with my girlfriend who lives in the north end and their gelato never fails. A bit pricey($ 6.50 for gelato and $ 3 for a water!!), but a really delicious treat if you’re in the neighborhood!

Love love love the chocolate cannolis. I ordered the chocolate cannoli and it was heavenly. The cream was light and fluffy and the shell was delicious. My tea was pricey for over $ 2… It’s a tea bag and water… My sister in laws espresso was cheaper. But the cannolis… Yes!

Best gelato ever to end my evening of eating in Little Italy on the North End! If you can’t decide just get them all! I had pistachio, chocolate(cocciolatta) and coffe flavors. Loved them all so much I’m doing the same thing tonight!

Charming little café, with that word being used incorrectly 9 times out of 10 here in America, this is the real deal. Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks once said that espresso should paint the tongue with exquisite flavor. Sadly starbucks doesn’t remember that. This place however has some of the best espresso I’ve ever tasted. Even fifteen minutes after it was pulled it still retains its explosive flavor. The chocolate canoli was amazing. Some places overdo their zest but the mix here was perfect. The shell was the perfect mix of fluffy and crunchy. The service was courteous and prompt. You can just sit there and watch the mix of regulars, locals, tourists and Italian speaking locals. A very great place that I plan to return to the next time I am in the north end.

I have been coming here for years. Still the best cappuccino in the north end. A relaxing stop for gelato or pastry. The best part of course is that it is right next to modern pastries which undoubtedly has the best cannolis!

Apparently you need to avoid the tourists(of course) and order a cannolo from an Asian man to score the best one in the North End. The $ 1 LevelUp credit helps soften the blow of a $ 4 pastry, even if it is fresh-filled and chocolate-dipped. Transaction Amount$ 4.00Credit Applied– $ 1.00Total Spent$ 3.0

Charming Italian pasticceria which can make a terrific espresso and cappuccino. The pastry shop has a full service bar and some creative coffee based cocktails. The baked good are legit tasty and the staff is accommodating and professional. In fact, the staff of the famous Polcari’s spice/whole bean coffee shop recommends this café too.

After reading that this place had the best hot chocolate, I had to try it out. A friend and I came at breakfast time, I had a hot chocolate, she had a latte, we split a cannoli, a rum baba, and a croissant filled with some kind of fruit. Everything was delicious. The rum baba was super boozy, but tasty. The cannoli was fabulous(better than Modern’s IMO), and the croissant was flaky and perfect… Now for the big question, was it the best hot chocolate? Nope, but it was good. I would recommend this place for delicious pastry and drinks.

I love this joint. My friends and I have been going here for the past 6 years. It is our go to spot to chill and talk on a relaxing, and not so crazy kinda night. We like to be away from the usual spots that others normally go to so this is the place that takes us away from all that. I love the way they hang football scarves and banners on the wall and ceiling. So awesome. To me it represents diversity in the way they accept their customers. Although we(asians) were out of place being in North end(historically an Italian community) and all, it’s great that the people here are very friendly and modern. Their coffees are alright not special or fancy or anything. But that’s what I wanted just simple coffees with a light desert. I normally get the hazelnut cake but the tiramisu is nice too. They have an outside seating space which they transform into an indoor area for the winter. Overall, decently priced. They can use an upgrade though since their Tvs aren’t in HD. Other than this place is just like any other coffee shop even though it might not be everyone else’s cup of tea.

Best. Hot. Chocolate. Ever. Ive done hot cocoa tours, and this tops them all. Not too hot, good cream, full to the top so its overflowing and looking amazing. Service was good and funny. Music was odd but a taking point when it goes from 70s disco to pitbull… On the wall are photos that look like windows which we thought were really cool. Flags for all the areas in Italy too.
