We stopped in here after dinner and it truly hit the spot. The girl behind the counter was immediately friendly, and encouraged us to get multiple samples. The flavors are so unique and completely delicious. I will be back for more ice cream very soon!!!

Lulus is known for their cupcakes. I go for their ice cream. Limited favors but all are great! In he summer time they have shaved ice also. Swing by and take stroll through the historic north end!

I love everything about this store. The pink walls, the unique treats, the gelato and most importantly the amazing costumer service I get every single time. They mainly focus on chocolate treats, candies, ice cream and cupcakes so you wouldn’t find your typical traditional Italian dessert in here but its boutique feel its amazing. Rather come here any day than go to the overly crowded for no apparent reason Mike’s Pastry.

Very very cute shop and the Bailey’s ice cream was heavenly. Great find on our 1st trip to Boston on a cold and windy night no less. But no matter the weather we are always up for ice cream and this was by far the best we have ever had. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Son also got the Chocolate Explosion cupcake which he took back to hotel and devoured later in our room. He was in chocolate bliss. Thinking we will be back before we leave this weekend for sure it is that good. Very very cute shop.

Port Wine Pistacchio… WOW, WOW. I love the chocolate gelato. They are not too sweet and full of flavors. The best ever. You can really tell that the owner loves what she is doing. I am going back for coconut. she was making it but it wasn’t ready

Skip Mikes and Modern to some they are nothing more than tourist traps. Lulu’s is where its at. Creamy artisan ice cream, delicious FRESHMADE pastries with a staff that sees you as a guest not just the next person in line. Hands down my favorite pastry stop in the North End.

This was a very cute shop in the area. I got a really indulgent chocolate cupcake as well as a whole bunch of strawberry lollipops in the shape of lobsters to bring back a souvenirs!

A cute little sweet shop for sure. All sorts of creative pastries and desserts to enjoy. I had the brownies more which was great without the Smore and I was able to enjoy the brownie alone. We had the red velvet cupcake, the turtle cupcake, chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, salted caramel cupcake and Smore cupcake. The breading on all of them was really dense and not very light or fluffy. Mediocre in taste and not necessarily amazingly worth to go back to. My favorite was the mini pecan pie.

Sauntered over here for a dessert after having a lobster roll next door at Neptune’s Oysters. I decided on a S’mores cupcake. The lady, who I think was the owner, was very friendly and personable. She gave me some good advice on preparing the s’mores cupcake for optimal taste. I might come back to try the other cupcakes when I eventually explore downtown Boston again.

Could cupcakes get any more delicious? Sandy does such a great job with her cupcakes. It’s great tht she caters even to those with food allergies and has just tried her first vegan cupcakes which are a true delight!!!

A kid in a candy store, that’s what I became a moment when I stepped inside the store. I was doing freedom trail backwards(started from the bunker hill), feeling a bit warm, I wanted to eat ice cream. Stopped at nearby restaurant to try their famous lobster roll for lunch and just strolling around to work off my full tummy, that’s when I saw this ice cream sign. Yes I was full but I can always make room for sweets. When I walked in, I became like a kid in a candy store. I really liked the way they decorated their shop, so cute and colorful. They had this very inviting ambiance. Staff was very friendly too. Their homemade ice cream had so many unique flavors, I stood in front of the ice cream for a long time. Yes I know how to make room for sweets but I am not that talented. I had just enough room for one small scoop. I won’t talk about flavors here as I only tired one but what I had was very rich and creamy but I bet all are good. Once you get your ice cream, walk across to the park and enjoy your ice cream at nice grassy area as I did! It was such a lovely day in early September. Sunny weather, cool breeze from time to time, nice grassy park, yummy ice cream, I enjoyed peaceful moment.

We stopped by here while we were waiting for a table at Neptune because it was 95 °F outside. This place is small. Great selection of ice cream. Our nephews were getting some ice cream & they were great!

OMGOMGOMG I LOVELULUS and miss it so much. When I used to live in the North End I went here all the time. The owner is the cutest little lady I’ve ever met. Yeah Mike’s and Modern are notoriously known for having the«best» sweet stuff in the North End but SERIOUSLY check this place out beforehand. You will not be disappointed. Personally obsessed with the sea salt dark chocolate caramels. OH, and they have homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches with any cookie of your choice. NUFF said.

Great little bakery with lively ice cream and wicked desserts. The service was great and the store was sweet. I’d really recommend this as an alternative to Mike’s if you are traveling with kids. Mike’s can be pretty busy and chaotic, which is not always fun after a long day with small children.

What an adorable dessert shop tucked away in Boston’s North end! While waiting for a table at Neptune, we rushed into Lulu’s in order to escape the cold. We found ourselves surrounded by so many amazing sweets. The associate was very warm and welcoming. I tried the apple pie ice cream — delicious and creamy, it had apple pie chunks mixed in it! They also had nostalgic candies, cookies, cupcakes and drinks. Since it’s a very small shop, there wasn’t any seating.

We dropped by one day because one of my friends had previously had cupcakes from here, and wanted to show off the cupcakes. I think we caught them on an off day. We tore into the cupcakes because… we have no manners and overly eager. And we were all disappointed. Every single cupcake was dry. Later when we tried the whoopie pie, it was also dry and nothing like the cake like texture we were hoping for. The cookie was ok, but I was already pretty disappointed with everything else. Lulu does get one star for service. The girl behind the counter was really nice to us and let us take our time and hem and haw over what we wanted. She also offered to take our trash when we were done, and let us stand around eating when it was raining outside. Based on the poor reviews, I think it was an off day(it was pretty rainy that day, and that makes baked goods kinda wonky). Unfortunately, I was in town for the weekend, so I doubt I’ll be back.

Came in for some ice cream. This place is a killer! Great interesting flavours: I got the mint oreo and it was pretty on point. Great service — fancy-ish mom&pop store.

Holy moly I had some of the best ice cream in my life here(and I have probably eaten enough ice cream for 2 lifetimes)! After eating dinner we decided to walk around and explore more. We saw Lulu’s and thought that it would be the perfect place to get some dessert. The shop is quite small, but they offer and impressive number of ice cream favors. We decided to try the bourbon pecan and we luckily came just in time for the last batch to come out. The ice cream was thick and had just the right balance of sweetness and creaminess. The bourbon, though present, was not overpowering. Everyone in my group thought it was amazing. It’s been a couple of months since I went up to Boston and I still can’t stop thinking about this place! I can’t wait to come back.

Lulu’s pastry shop for us is a great alternative(to the famous Mike’ pastry) where you get great cupcakes with virtually no lineup! The selection is large, the cupcakes are rich, decadent and oh… so good! We come here as here are times you don’t feel like crazy lineups and smelly people shoving and your personal space being invaded! They have a selection of other chocolates and candy that you can dial back to your childhood that you enjoyed! A great finisher to the night and very reasonable alternative to restaurant dessert!
