Came here a few months ago for food and drinks after work with colleagues. Service was very good, my meal not so much. Fries were good, but the sandwich had a hint of plastic taste to it.

Bummer! This place is closed! I used to come here often when staying at the hotel next door. It is boarded up and says«coming soon» with a new name. Will miss this place… lobstah roll and steak tips both!

Since we did a short city trip to Boston, we were specifically looking for a local oyster bar… we saw their special promo’s on the menu outside and decided to give it a try. We ordered the $ 1 oyster special, the clam chowder and $ 3 coors light. They food was amazing! Oysters were very fresh(my boyfriend ate 10 and add 7 more oyster) and clam chowder was delicious. The lady who served us was not attentive and not friendly. It took very long before we were able to get here attention to place an order and to receive the check. The restaurant is spacious and has lots of tables, while we were dining it became busy and there was a good atmosphere. We definately recommend this place if you are looking to eat the local dishes and fresh oysters.

Not closed. Went here for New Years 2016. No cover charge and no waiting. Just a short walk to the waterfront for the fireworks.

Great oysters and chowder!!! Its open. New owner and management. So sweet and the chowder is creamy with lots of tender clams! New name will be Broadside.

Not sure why people said this place is closed — I’m sitting at the bar while I write this review! Anyway, it’s empty on a Monday evening at 6:30, no real surprise, but the service is attentive and the food is good. $ 1 oysters are a great deal — they’re huge for $ 1 oysters — and the beer selection is pretty good. Nice selection of scotch and Irish whiskey, too, and more than a few TV’s tuned to the after work sports shouting shows. The clam chowder was surprisingly good, and the location is clutch for downtown outings. I could do without the table of biddy’s dancing to the worst rap I’ve ever heard — something about«stick your chest out» — but otherwise, nothing to complain about at all. Beats most of the overpriced places down here, easily, and I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area.

Pretty spacious place, was able to walk in with a group of 8 tonight and we got a table right away. Loved the live music that was playing. Thought $ 10.99 for a plain caesar salad was a little steep, but it was a generous portion and overall very tasty and fresh so I won’t hold that against them. Our server was attentive and was nice enough to split up the checks. I look forward to going back again.

Great mix of suits and jeans. Variety of pub style food and attentive staff. I can imagine this place to be the perfect Boston pub to watch a Red Sox playoff game with friends.

Best Irish pub in downtown. Great food, great service. Ask for Rosie and tip well. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The Cobb salad is terrific, fish tacos are great and the shepherd’s pie is one of the best I’ve ever had.

While roaming Boston’s financial district in search of a nice place, stumbled on this gem(after many fails!) on a Sat night at around 10pm… awesome friendly and helpful service at door, great staff inside, great menu(though we only got fries with our drinks), amazing LIVE music, overall excellent establishment right in the heart of Boston. Only regret is not having found it earlier that night!!! ;)

The lobster roll was very fishy and the fries were not very crispy and needed a lot of salt. The place was pretty empty around lunch on a Sunday.

This has been one of the pubs/restaurants that I have frequented the most since moving to Boston 4 months ago. Some of the freshest and most affordable oysters in Boston are served here(got the tip from my good friend who is a local). The atmosphere and service are also great! I bring all of my visiting friends here.

We found this place while wandering through Boston streets and couldn’t resist the sangria and $ 1 oyster specials on a Friday night! This place had a strong Boston feel to it and the live irish music made it even more so.

Was looking for a place to sit down and have dinner with my family on a weeknight. They had plenty of seating(unlike many similar places nearby) and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu was pretty bland, but the food was good. Nothing fancy, but I would go there again if I wanted something convenient without reservations.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday night at 9ish and it was very empty but there was a DJ that played great music and they were clearly the tables for a dance floor. We had the $ 1 oysters! Which were fresh and the calamari. It was one of the best we’ve had(it even had fried peppers in the mix). I had the shrimp tacos and loved it but boyfriend thought the lobster roll was okay. Staff were great. Constantly checked up on us and were very welcoming and nice.

What a nice Irish Pub! Friendly prompt service. Attentive bartenders are the norm. I came here after first trying The Times Pub across the street and, let’s just say, the contrast was blinding. The fish and chips are good with a very light batter. $ 1 oysters are fresh and amazing.

I’ll put it this way — we were visiting Boston for a week & we became regulars to the point the waitress recognized us. We don’t even do that at home! Adequate selection of food & it tastes pretty good. As small as the pub is, they provide several TV’s to watch so you have a pretty good number of choices if there’s a game you want to watch. Wait staff is friendly & no-nonsense which I liked(this is my personal taste, so may not be true for all, but no-nonsense is preferred when you need to contain a rowdy crowd).

This was the third stop on our oyster tour this summer, and so far the best yet. I went on a Tuesday for 50 cent oysters(until 6pm), and 2 for $ 5BBQ pulled pork tacos. The oyster shells were more sandy than I would have liked, but the oysters themselves were large and delicious. The tacos were also great. 10 oysters and 2 tacos were plenty for a meal, I’ll definitely be going back for this special.

Met up with my bro in law here as he works in the area. Really nice small place. Nice small menu. And nice small bar(where we chose to sit). Prices are typical of food and drinks in the Boston area. I ordered the blue cheese bacon burger with choice of different fries(I chose regular fries). For drinks I had two amaretto sours(made well and tasted great!). The bartender was friendly and knew how to make my drink(that’s always a plus!). Overall experience here, great. I would come back here again.

Nice local bar. Great crowd, and good music. They also have Live music throughout the week. This seems to be a popular local hangout. The food is average, nothing special. Prices are reasonable and the wait staff is friendly and efficient.

Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque are amazing and cheaply priced. One of the best around I’ve tasted(and the lobster bisque actually comes with chunks of lobster on top!) $ 0.50 oysters, although a broke man’s wonderland, are subpar in quality(tasteless, with shells and sand). Also, the weird cocktail sauce they include with it did not agree with my stomach(in the burning sensation way). Overall, I’d come here for a cup of soup any day

So this place was great when it had half price appetizers after work, but now they don’t and it’s just a fairly bad place. I got the chicken caesar wrap with sweet potato fries. Both of them were the worst I’ve ever had. The fries were soggy and near frozen so I left 90% of them. The wrap was mostly lettuce and entirely tasteless. I left half of it after me and I hate leaving food behind. It was just that bad. Unilocalers beware! I gave it a two because their appetizers aren’t half bad. Just pricey.
