Really frustrated. After I got out of work late last night, I went to go meet my friends here because I saw online that they are open til 2am. Nope. I get there at 1245am, I was able to grab one beer. Went back for my second around 1:15 and they told me last call was ten minutes prior. What?! Next thing you know they’re kicking everyone out(aggressively) at 1:25am. Please don’t advertise that you’re open til 2am when you stop serving at 1:05 and kick everyone out at 1:30. Waste of time going all the way in town. Take your service somewhere that actually closes at 2am.

The food was fine, and reasonably tasty for the price, and they had an interesting selection of drinks; thought you might expect a little more of a selection of Irish beers given the name. The issue I take with this place was the service. The place was pretty busy and had one frazzled waitress taking care of multiple tables. Given the size of our group, it probably would have been wise to tell us that they weren’t able to accommodate us. The waitress was clearly overloaded, and had probably just reached her limit for the day; and wound up brushing us off quite a bit. No two people at the table had the same experience with her; she was quite nice to me, and even removed an item from the bill that my friend didn’t like. Though I wasn’t in love with the overall treatment of the group, I do understand that it may have been situational. I might not recommend the restaurant to anyone looking to eat in the area, but I’ve consistently heard good things about the bar.

I’ve been here on two separate occasions and was able to experience different crowds. The vibe is pretty chill and they have great trendy music, and old school throwbacks. It’s very spacious and they have a little stage towards the back with the DJ. If you wanna just drink and mingle or even just dance, this is a good place to come to in the north end that won’t have tourists in it

This is a great place to go. Decent food, great bartenders, and happy hour with $ 0.75 oysters. If I am in boston any length of time I stop hear at least one night, if not more.

This place must be under new management. This past April we had a great experience and after today we will never go back, ever. My family is visiting Boston, from New Jersey & went there because of our past experience. This time, the waitress was given so much to handle beyond her human abilities and the other employees including the managers were watching her struggle(she was brand new). We waited about a half hour for drinks, the staff was rude, the food wasn’t even sub par, and to top it off after an hour and a half of waiting for our food, they told my dad they didn’t have what he ordered. The other patrons in the bar were laughing because they all said their experience was awful as well. Oh, and we were double charged for 5 shots of patron which we paid for at the bar AND were tacked onto our bill. The manager wasn’t accommodating & I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Great place for a fun night out! This review is based on my experience of the nightlife on a Saturday night. First of all the drinks are strong and reasonably priced! I paid $ 9(with tip) for a tequila sour with Patron, the least expensive drink I’ve purchased for a night out. My favorite thing of the night was the DJ, he was AMAZING! The music was a great mix of old school and modern day music. The staff is also really great! I’ve had some bad experiences with bouncers, bar tenders, etc. behaving inappropriately but the staff here is so respectful! The dance floor isn’t super big, but it wasn’t crowded and the staff is constantly cleaning up cups and bottles to avoid any accidents. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are pretty gross. Overall, a great place to go for a fun night out.

Never eaten here. But when I’m out and about its always a definite to stop here for nightlife. Great staff with some of the best/fastest bar hands in all of Boston(literally). In a touristy area, but live the vibe, djs are always good and again, love the bartenders here! Cheers!!!

Nice random bar that seems like a sports bar and Irish pub in one. Great for the game or a pint

the 5 stars are only for their live music we just stopped by for a beer since this place was playing some live music on a Saturday afternoon. the artist was such a rockstar! We ended up staying there for two hours and thoroughly enjoyed the music.

My husband got the cheesesteak nachos and I got a veggie quesadilla — we both felt they were solid 4⁄5 stars!

This bar is worst excuse for an Irish bar, ever. First off: there is a Smithwicks and a Harp sign hanging on the bar yet when you peruse the beer menu, neither one of those beers are listed or served here! Stella, blue moon and whatever other non Irish beers made us walk out. The crazy part is that the woman that finally walked over with a menu had what sounded like an Irish accent. We question the authenticity of that as well. Very disappointing and don’t waste your time here.

They had me at whole Maine lobster for $ 17.99. Who could resist such a price? We came here for dinner after the Freedom Trail walk. At $ 1.50 each, we ordered a dozen oysters and clam chowder as appetizers. Both were very good, although there were traces of the shell in the oyster, which totally stinks. For the main dish, I had the whole Maine lobster, of course. I was disappointed that the $ 17.99 price didn’t come with any side dishes. But I guess that’s why the price was so low. The lobster was delicious, but I didn’t like their drawn butter. I’ve had two other lobsters on this trip, and this is the first one where I noticed that the butter tasted odd, very different from the other two. I’m guessing that they might’ve used margarine or another substitute. That bumped my review down to a 3 star.

Excellent service! The menu is perfect for pub food. Tons of lunch specials too. The execution was delicious as well. We had the pesto panini and the Rafael. Great pub atmosphere. Highly recommend for a weekend lunch :)

I’m not local, but I visit Boston on business from time to time. I have visited Paddy O’s on every trip, and I have always enjoyed myself. $ 1.50 ea oysters on the half shell drew me in the first time(and have drawn me inexorably back each subsequent time), but there is more to it than that. The décor is welcoming. The bar is attractive. Irish man-cave chic. The TVs… I don’t like TVs in bars and restaurants, but I’m willing to ignore them. If you DO like them, holy cow! It’s like having the game on a movie theater screen. The bartenders have invariably been friendly, engaging, and full of local trivia. Excellent crew. If I find myself in Boston again I will absolutely be back.

Hugo(the bartender) was awesome! He was a gas to talk to and made excellent beer recommendations. The Shipwreck pumpkin beer was awesome with the cinnamon rim. Also, Hugo, you were right that the trip to Framingham wasn’t worth it. It was novel but not worth a days drive!
