Denny’s

Food was ok. I love the place because of a great server. Eleanor is wonderful every time. Never messes up the order. is very attentive. Does not force conversation. She is a perfect server. 10 stars for her. We always leave happy when we have her and want to spend more when we have her.

Went Saturday at 7:30 PM. Parking lot was empty, should have been my first clue. Came in and was told ‘She’ll be right with you’. Place was empty, two customers and the four of us. Had 5 DIFFERENT employees walk past us, but no one seated us. After 5 minutes of standing and waiting to be seated, we left. What a dump.

Denny’s HQ: its time to put this place out of its misery … please do Bordentown a favor and get rid of this cockroach and vermin (I don’t mean that figuratively) infested joint.
Unilocalers: if you are desperate and there is absolutely no where else to go in a 500 mile radius for your source of fat, protein and carbs (i.e. in the event of a nuclear winter) and are absolutely FORCED to come here, I have just ONE tip for you — avoid the tall waitress. Please for GODS SAKE just avoid the tall waitress.

The food is just bad. The service is slow. The restraunt is dingy. If you are starving, or high, and no other place is open then you should consider this as a place to eat. Im sure something on the menu tastes ok. Probably.

One of the worst places that I have EVER been to and spent money. My family and I only spent $ 15, but it was so bad, we couldn’t wait to leave, and it wasn’t even worth it to complain and not pay.
The waitress looked like she was clearly not enthused to work there. We asked for water. She replied «Bottle or Tap». Now, I don’t really mind Tap Water, but you can ask without telling us that flat out that we’re drinking some Jersey Tap Water. Oh, and by the way, when we got our water, the ice melted in like 4 minutes, and the water WAS STILL NOT COLD. Which tells me that they didn’t even have the respect to get it from a dispenser. She just opened a faucet and filled up some cups.
Why in the world did the simplest order of food for three people take 30+ minutes??? Pancakes, grits, eggs, and bacon? The place wasn’t packed, and it still took you 30 minutes to bring out our food? Then, my wife’s eggs were UNDER COOKED? There’s HAIR in my son’s eggs??? The grits were SOLID, resembling the texture of JOINT COMPOUND and obviously had been sitting out! And, my bacon tastes like someone’s armpit and once I chewed it, it turned into a grit, like I’m eating pieces of SAND?
Plus you can hear the kitchen staff laughing, joking, and singing rap lyrics?
Fire them all… burn down the building… and ban every last person that works there from ever entering a kitchen ever again. Oh, and give every person who has ever eaten there, a Purple Heart… we’ve all suffered…

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN 0 STARS, I WOULD HAVE!!! .WORST FOOD EVER!!! My toddler and I had some errands to run and stopped for lunch. I ordered scrambled eggs with two biscuits and home fries; the baby ordered burger, fries, and corn. Service was okay. Eleanor was our waitress, and she was sweet and friendly. Then things went south. Fast. My «scrambled» eggs came out runny and yellow, as if they were sunny-​side up or something (my 13-​year-​old knows how to make scrambled eggs), and everything was wiggly wiggly. I called the waitress over, and I asked her if she had ever seen anything like it. She said, «Um, no…» so she took it back, minutes later brought me another plate, which looked like scrambled eggs. The biscuit was wet, hard as a friggin’ rock, and COVERED IN BUTTER!!! So disgusting. I took one bite and wanted to puke. When Eleanor came back to the table, she asked me what was wrong, and I told her, «I wouldn’t feed this to a dog.» To top it all off, when she came to bring me our check, she told me she tried to get the meal removed from my check, but the manager refused. I kindly told her to not worry about it, we won’t be back. I left her a 50 percent tip because I felt so bad she worked at such a wretched establishment. Then, after paying our bill at the register, and as we were walking out the door, I heard the manager make an horrendous comment that I will NOT repeat on here, but I will be calling corporate tomorrow morning. I guess my one star goes to Eleanor.

I was waiting to pickup my stepson in the lot and had a few minutes to grab a bite. Went in and took a seat. Ordered the Cali Club with onion rings and iced tea. The iced tea was the highlight of the meal. The sandwich was skimpy for $ 8. The onion rings had a super crunchy crust that was a bit hard to chew. The waitress was nice and the service was good. The tab was $ 12 and some change. I could have had a lot better sandwich at any other diner for the same or less. Not a good value for a national chain.

Had a hair in my burger before I bit it. Service was quick and friendly so I can’t really complain. Normal day at Denny’s

Was at our hotel in the middle of nowhere New Jersey and didn’t want to eat at Wendy’s so I thought to come to Denny’s for a classic cheap dinner. We were easily sat and got our food quickly however my husband got a burger with a hair in it and after we read other reviews on Unilocal about how terrible this place is. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Rats. Roaches. And who knows what else!!! Absolutely NO stars. Disgusting is not harsh enough to describe this place. Even the waitress knew it was utterly disgusting after the huge rat ran out from under the booth behind ours and then behind the counter. My friend instantly said we need to go.now. So we that’s exactly what we did and thankfully we did not receive any food yet. The woman who looked like the manager was not paying attention and was to concerned about a male friend she had sitting on the counter. How he or she did not scream and yell about the rat showed they were clearly used to it. Or that’s just how oblivious they were. Hate to say it but this place needs to be condemned.

Took forever to get seated and get our food. Service was terrible. And the manager was rude. Don’t recommend this place.

I’d give them 0 stars if possible. Hey Unilocal do you guys allow negative stars? I mean seriously this Denny’s is terrible and that’s saying it nicely.
Went in on Super Bowl Sunday around 2 pm and they were making people wait 20 – 25 minutes and even longer with TABLES OPEN. I mean huh? What? Another customer got so pissed off she was waiting for 30 minutes she went and asked why are we waiting when there are tables open the response she got was we have to wait for the waitresses. huh? WHAT? So she asked the guy at the front (some young kid who was clearly an idiot) so are you understaffed, he says“uh yeah”. \
I was like screw this place got up with my friend and left. What kind of restaurant makes people wait a half hour when they have tables open. Either your waitresses suck or you suck. All in all you all probably suck.
Never again.

The one star is for the waiter. He was the only positive thing about this restaurant. To have people waiting while they are staring at tons of empty tables… First strike. Waffle machine broken… Them or food literally took forever and a day, only to have the kitchen leave out half of our items. The waiter literally hovered at the kitchen to get our orders right and was getting just as frustrated as us. The manager put on a big show of being busy while not actually being busy. All in all I really hope or waiter finds employment in a much better establishment because when the kitchen messes up he had to cover for them (I can say it was the kitchen and not him because I had a full view of kitchen and could see how it was not on point today) The said part is because this is the only place I can get my moons over my hammy in the area, I will probably have to come back

I am here for almost an hour– no food so far. It took 20 minutes to get something to drink and its not a busy night. Horrible.

Could you possibly offer slower service or food that disappoints any more? Just ate there, Sunday around 11 am. Crowded, but not packed. Took 10 minutes to get our drink order, another 10 minutes to get the drinks and almost an hour to get breakfast. How much time does it take to make scrambled eggs? Probably not long, they just used extra time to make us wait and more time putting ample thought into how to screw up our experience even more. I got the Moon Over My Hammy ham and egg sandwich. IHOP version is so much better. Bread was soggy, ham and eggs were phony as could be, and hash browns weren’t cooked all the way. They boasted about their new coffee and I don’t see what all the back patting is about. Wawa, dunking donuts, hell, even 7 – 11 has better coffee. Such a ridiculous experience, it’s been several years since I have been there and I absolutely will NOT be going back. The entire restaurant had a grimy feel to it. Bottom of the barrel on the food chain. Big thumbs down.

The service was great and the staff were very friendly. The food was also very good. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly suggest the red velvet pancake puppies sundae.

This is the first ever Denny’s I’ve been to and probably will be my last if this represents a majority of it’s restaurants. The place had an odd smell to it when I first entered. And then the tables aren’t the cleanest and the seats are practically worn – at least the one I sat on. Anyhow I know they call themselves «America’s Diner» but clearly they could do a lot better if they want that title… at least for this location. The only saving grace this place had was our wonderful server. She was fantastic and truly made me and my family feel at home. She did make an oopsie though (she forgot to put in an order but I let it slide because she was just so caring). As for the food it’s typical diner chain fare with the same flavors that you would come to expect at an Ihop or Waffle House. My eggs which I asked done fried was presented to me in a wonderfully burnt way… no words to describe. Anyways looking back on it I can’t in good conscience knock down every Denny’s establishment there is but as for this one… it’s crossed out in my book.

When it’s late at night, we’re too awake to sleep, my wife doesn’t have work in the morning, and we’re really hungry, Denny’s is often where we’ll go for some grub. The staff is friendly, and the food is pretty reliably good. It’s not fine cuisine, but that’s not why you go to a Denny’s. The only downside is, depending on how busy they are, the service often slows to a crawl.

Service is great, staff very friendly, place is very clean, the breakfast was great, had my little man happy as he got an ice cream cup with apple juice. But don’t tell him he thinks it’s an ice cream .
So we place our order I had the peanut butter cup pancakes and Dee ordered the banana, berry pancake with eggs and bacon, same for me. Little man had the sliver dollar pancake with sausage and bacon, the staff was great, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area.
this was our first time coming to Denny’s if I’m by that location again, i will make a stop and get me those peanutbutter & choc late pancakes again.
