Used to be a loyal regular but apparently the owner decided to get rid of euro tart so I guess I’ll have to jump over to Aspen Leaf instead. I think what irritates me is that he apparently isn’t listening to his people on the front lines, you know, the people that talk to the customers.

Great froyo joint, pretty typical though. Great location close to BSU and student housing, but still convenient for non-students. I don’t like the places where the staff has to get you your sample, but I do understand it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and seem to do a good job of keeping toppings stocked. The prices are competitive, too. I love the seating areas at this location — very comfortable and laid-back!

With frozen yogurt it is hard to go wrong in my eyes. This location has flavors I always like and my favorite toppings! Fallowed with a quick walk from home, and an always clean environment, how can it not have 5 stars!

Came here about 20 minutes before closing and was glad that we did. The family is on a road trip and it had a nice variety of flavors for all. It even had a really yummy buttered pecan flavor that was fat free and sugar free, so even my dad who is a diabetic can enjoy! This is a really clean frozen yogurt place, as well. The girl at the cash register was bubbly and we had a good chat with her when we paid. The one downside is they don’t put out little sample cups for you to try out the flavors. You have to ask for one. So in my case, I waited 3 minutes to sample a flavor, because the one person working there was taking care of customers at the the register first and I didn’t want to be rude an interrupt. Overall, it’s not a big deal though.

I was so excited to see this u swirl come into our area of town. My husband and I love to go get frozen yogurt for a little treat on our days off. They have so many varieties to choose from and the people who work there are always so friendly. We love that we can choose the exact amount we want instead of having to buy a specific size like if we go out for ice cream somewhere.

Stopped here with my kids, the frozen is good here. The flavors are good and there are plenty to choose from. Plenty of toppings to choose from. The only thing I thought was weird was the girl behind the counter kept disappearing into the back. But overall it was a good place

Their yogurt flavors and topping selection are excellent. The sample situation is a little awkward. Unlike every other yogurt shop they don’t allow you to fill up your own sample cup. This discouraged me from trying some flavors I was interested in. Also they didn’t have cap’n crunch.

Awesome froyo place close to the Boise State campus. I have been here a few times now and was given a coupon as a new customer, which was great. Lots of great toppings and flavors of frozen yogurt– always hits the spot after dinner! The price does seem a little higher than other places I have tried but it still is the best froyo I have had here in Boise.

Having spent time in Los Angeles, fro-yo capitol of the world, I’ve spent a lot of time swirling frozen treats into a cup. I have a sophisticated yogurt palate if anyone does. Enough about me. This USwirl is okay. It’s got fewer flavors than the branch in Meridian, but they have have enough options you’ll be able to find at least one flavor you like. They always have a sorbet, a sugar-free flavor, a tart yogurt flavor, and a mix of fat-free and low-fat flavors. If you want a sample, the employee gets it for you, which I find dumb. I am a grown up; please just give me the little taster cup. It feels controlling and juvenile to dish out little blobs of yogurt. They have a good selection of wet and dry toppings. The fruit often looks like it is over the hill, so perhaps they could rotate it more quickly. The space is clean and bright; roomy without being cavernous. There are a few tables and chairs in the shop, but I’d plan on taking it to go. When the place fills up with little kids buzzed on fro-yo and carmel sauce, you’ll find more peace out on Broadway. Staff tends to be playing on their cell phones, but other than ringing up customers I’d imagine there’s not always a lot to do, so I don’t mind. They often have deals on living social, or punch cards, so if you try you can often find some sort of discount. That said, the price per ounce always seems expensive – however it’s in line with all the places around town – it’s easy to spend over $ 5 on an average portion of yogurt. Since you serve yourself, and the bowls are large, it’s easy to end up with a lot more than you need. Make sure your eyes and stomach are on the same wavelength when you dole out your yogurt. The fro-yo itself is creamy and smooth. Nothing is overly icy, and the sorbets are properly tart. The flavors aren’t particularly powerful or memorable. That’s not a condemnation, but more of a general«meh». Not too sweet, but not out of the ordinary in any way. It would be lovely to have a few rich, extra creamy flavors with a silky mouthfeel, or some unique flavors, or maybe a larger selection of sugar-free and lower-calorie yogurts. As a side note, they use yo-cream, which is the standard-issue froyo you’ll find in most places, including Maverick gas stations. It’s Sysco-style froyo, nothing fancy. Take that for what it’s worth. You can do better, but you can do worse. It’s hard to ever go too wrong, though, with fro-yo!

When I was a teenager, I had a friend whose mother had been a 60’s Bay Area hippie. Being so, she had dropped acid on occasion(it happens…). She showed us pictures from her younger days taken during one of her«trips» where she was stirring a fry pan full of yogurt. She said, «I had this existential epiphany regarding yogurt… I thought it was the answer to all the worlds problems… I wanted to… freeze it… to… …fry it… I wanted… …to BE… …yogurt.» As I walked into U-Swirl, my immediate thought was…‘if yogurt is the answer to all the world’s problems… then this is command central! Followed immediately by, ‘I’m not entirely sure the power to concoct a bowl of wildy topped fro-yo should be placed in my hands.‘ Truly…a dangerous proposition. Clearly, U-Swirl didn’t see it as such as the girl behind the counter pointed me happily in the direction of the paper cups(Haaaa-uge!) and the row of a dozen different flavors to choose from. I selected a mix of cake batter flavor and chocolate peanut butter. Careful as you go, my people, as the yogurt comes out quickly and thickly and before you know it you’ve got almost six bucks worth of it in your half filled cup(did I mention the cups are humungous!?!). But, you’re not done there… now you must top the danged thing(I suppose ‘must’ is a bit of an exaggeration – you need not – but really… you must, right?!?). And, they have every topping one could possibly imagine wanting for the top of one’s fro-yo. Mini m&m’s, graham cracker crumbs, reeses peanut butter cups, gummy bears… the list goes on and on. Plus, you can get all saucy with hot fudge, caramel, butterscotch, etc… I really have no idea what there could possibly be to NOT like about this place. You create your own, so you’ve no one to blame if it tastes funky(as my dining companion found out by boldly swirling peanut butter and mint… really!!!). Probably best to help the kiddos out as it does come out quickly. The service is quite friendly. The atmosphere is typical for this type of place. And, to top it all off… they have a nice sign that details out why yogurt is so healthy – so as you sit there eating your m&m topped health food… you think… ahh…yes…I too want to BE yogurt… Or…umm…something like that. Get to it!
