Motel 6

I was very pleased with my stay at Motel 6 in Boerne. I booked my room on TripAdvisor (Motel 6 was the most affordable place to stay in Boerne, just fyi). The manager was very polite and helpful when I checked in. He explained the layout of the motel and let me know the motel was a 100% non-​smoking facility, which was good news to me bc I hate having to stay in a room where someone has been smoking. My room was VERY clean and it had everything I needed (mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv with lots of channels, landline phone, comfy bed & pillows, plenty of towels, and an AC that works great). The tv had USB and auxiliary ports on the front of it, so you can plug in your laptop or other devices and watch Netflix, Hulu, or whatever. The wifi network worked great as well. Here are the only 2 reasons why I’m not giving this place 5 stars:
1. I had to listen to the people upstairs stomping around until about midnight. There were only 5 or 6 guests that night, and I think it would have been smarter if the manager would have spread the guests out a bit, instead of cramming us all on one end of the motel so that those of us on the ground level had to hear the other guests stomping around upstairs. Just my opinion.
2. When I went to check out the next morning, I had to stand there for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to come out and help me. I ended up having to say «HELLO» pretty loud to get the lady’s attention. I guess she was in the back somewhere and wasn’t paying attention.
Nonetheless, it was a good experience. Cleanliness is usually my biggest concern when it comes to hotels/​motels, but that was not an issue here. Also, there are plenty of places to eat nearby (fast food, Mexican food, Denny’s, and a donut shop… just to name a few). There is also a Walgreens right across the street from the motel. Hope this helps!

Very friendly, Super Clean, Super comfy bed, Donut shop next door. What else can you ask for!

They were offering a discount through Unilocal if you check in, but refused to honor it. Aside from that, it’s a satisfactory place to stay for a night.

This place was a pleasant surprise from the pricey chain hotels nearby. It was cleaner. Yes, it was. No frills but the little time you spend in your room, who needs frills? It has kind of a modern feel, very minimal. I will definetly stay here again and I’m a neat freak!

Whenever I hear motel 6, I think of a dumpy spot (think «My Name is Earle»). I’m surprised to say this location alters everything about what I’ve thought about cheap motel rooms.
We drove in on our way to Phoenix and the owner told us their «no smoking» policy. The last time we made this trip we got a hotel further down I-​10 and all I remember was the lingering tobacco smoke scent. Exactly what our UHaul smells like. It’s nice to know a place like this exists and I can finally breathe.
It’s minimalistic mid century design lets you do exactly what you stopped here to do: Rest from your trip. It’s price, in my opinion, beats out all the other motels in Bourne, Tx.
Be sure to check in through the Unilocal app and possibly get a discount when you check into Motel 6! I wish I knew.

I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was not expecting much. I was actually a little uneasy about staying here but I was traveling with family so I didn’t have much of a choice, as this was what they had booked before leaving home. My room has a full kitchen with little cabinets and everything! It has a nice king sized bed and flat screen tv (front of entertainment unit is equipped with USB, HDMI, and AUX ports, which I was able to plug my computer into and watch Netflix).
The reasons I’m giving four stars:
~there were a few stray hairs on my floor, which I know laminate is hard to clean, but still, yucky :-/​
~I don’t think they clean between the the mattress and bed very well (it’s a platform bed with attached headboard)
~I checked in on Unilocal and got a 10% off coupon for my stay but was told I couldn’t use since I paid for my room already… Well yeah I paid for it, how else could I check in to my room, and then, therefore, check in on Unilocal to redeem the coupon. doesn’t make much sense but oh well. While its a little irritating, it would have only saved $ 8 so I’ll survive!
Overall, it’s a nice place thus far. I’m sure if I ever wonder to Boerne, Tx with family again, I won’t oppose staying here :)
PS. It’s now after 1am and I can’t sleep because I can hear my neighbor every time they get out of bed. laminate does not absorb sound well (I’m on the top floor at the end, so I only have one neighbor). Note, I cannot hear their TV or voices, it’s just being able to hear them walk around and its pretty loud. I think they’re just getting up to go the bathroom considering the briefness but you can definitely hear footsteps and it sounds like a marching band!!!

Did an unplanned getaway from Austin heading to Lost Maples. Meandering/​sightseeing around Boerne and stayed here for the night. Used the Unilocal discount at check-​in.
The modern look of the room was very nice and everything was so so clean. Great reception on the TV. Enjoyed some current HBO as we are cord-​cutters and stream only at home.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had lots of local info. That is a big plus for serious Day Trippers.
Check out the Guadalajara restaurant for breakie in the a.m. Killer homemade tortillas and only 30 second walk from your door.

Stayed here while I was in town on business. Lady at the front was nice as I checked in. Had a room downstairs facing the outside so it was easy access. I have never stayed at a Motel 6 before but the price was good. The location in town made it a great choice. The design of the rooms were a more contemporary look and were nice. I enjoyed my two night stay here and would be back here anytime and would recommend here for anyone.

Better than many $ 100 per night hotels. Clean, simple and spacious rooms. The minimalistic design might be the same at other Motel 6’s, but I don’t know as this was my first time staying in one. I could only hope that all Motel 6’s have this same room design. I will stay at this location again whenever I am in Boerne. Motel 6 corporate should use this as a poster child for their chain. I always assumed Motel 6’s were dumpy and dirty before this visit. Now I know better! (Also, watch out for the sugar ants.)
