I will start off by saying that IHOP on Hilton Head is excellent, but this location needs a little more help. Yesterday, my family and I went for breakfast. We noticed that tables were getting their food before us, even though they arrived well after us. It was clear that our server was having issues with getting orders in, because the table next to us that she was attending to began to complain as well. We spoke with the manager whose response was, «The order came in at 11:00, so we are well within the time limits.» My response was, «We actually ordered at around 10:30, and it’s 11:30.» Finally our food came, my Aunt and my eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon were cold. It took another 10 minutes for me to get my pancakes. They need new management.

The service is very friendly and if you’re looking for an ungodly amount of food that is adequately cooked for cheap then this is the place to go. Honestly I prefer quality over quantity and was not happy with my last couple of experiences here and will most likely never go back. That is of course my grandparents come to visit who will only eat at chain restaurants. ;)

Just had a horrible dining experience on Thursday mid day. We waited 40 minutes for our meal. We ordered egg scrambles… Not exactly complicated. The«breakfast potatoes that my husband ordered were not edible as they were mostly burnt skins. I ordered hash towns but instead got non edible potatoes and the wrong kind of toast. I asked to speak with a manager and she(the mngr) seemed irritated at first but then apologized for the wait and mistakes. She took 15%off the bill as most of the meal wasn’t edible and by that time didn’t want to have to wait any more.

Wasn’t to impressed with this particular location. The wait wasn’t long considering it was a Sunday morning, but the kitchen messed up my order, and then the replacement meal was probably one of the greasiest omelets I have ever had. Service was decent..

My family & I frequent our local IHOP for a Saturday morning brunch, so when on a recent vacation to the island we decided to eat here(on a Thursday forenoon). Wow. Where do I even start?! I should have noticed the lack of exterior grooming & maintenance but with a hungry 2 year old in the back seat I missed it until we were leaving. My wife almost always orders the Chicken Florentine Crepes and I an omelet, but this morning we opted for an omelet each. The order took far longer than average to arrive and when it did my wife and I took one look at our very flat«omelets» then at each other, shocked. Absolutely the worst presentation I’ve ever seen at any IHOP. My wife’s omelet had bacon on top that was burnt to a charred crisp. I don’t mean slightly too crispy. I’m talking so black I had to search to find any part of any piece that had natural color. We very seldom refuse food at a restaurant but this was simply over the top. The waitress knew full well that she shouldn’t have served the dish so she quickly complied when we pointed out it wasn’t edible. While we waited for my wife’s dish to be redone I started on mine. Without a doubt the worst omelet of my life. If I wouldn’t have been so familiar with what it should have been I probably wouldn’t have been so ticked off. As soon as I cut into it, I had copious amounts of runny, cheap & artificial tasting cheese sauce scurrying about my plate. C’mon. Are you serious?! Just fill the thing with nasty cheese sauce, huh? And hope nobody notices? The coffee creamers at our local IHOP are delivered cold, clean and neatly arranged in a small dish. Here they were warm, dirty and tossed into the dish. The wait staff was far more interested in chatting & joking with each other in their mother tongue(which I just happen to speak as well) than serving us. Because of the bacon issue, our waitress didn’t charge us for the sour cream we asked for, which I thought was the very least that should be done. As if all those other things weren’t enough, there was a customer at a table halfway across the restaurant subjecting every one of us to her loooong, loud and unbelievably rude speaker phone conversation. I understand that wasn’t something directly within IHOP’s control, and I don’t blame them but it certainly added to our UNpleasant visit that ended with us saying«We’ve got to get on Unilocal and warn people about this disaster!»

Ordered simple today. 2 eggs, turkey sausage, hash browns. Biscuits. My food arrived hot and freshly prepared. Our server was attentive and kept with all of our needs. This IHOP offers a Military/Veterans discount. Recommended. @Removeyourhat

We live on the island, but prefer the IHOP on route 278 in Bluffton. We always stop here for breakfast when leaving the island on another road trip. We have never been disappointed. First of all, you are immediately greeted by the friendliest hostess in the area. She always has a big smile. We are seated and served promptly. We have been served by many of the servers working here, and find them all to be friendly, helpful, and fast. The manager does his job! He is constantly«on patrol,» walking around checking on things. Our meals are hot and what we ordered. We have no complaints. It is our«go to» spot in Bluffton for breakfast. It should be yours too!

Pretty good tonight for IHOP. Wish there was a way to post 3.8. Food was good, coffee was hot, and our waitress Heather was the best we’ve had at this particular place. She was helpful and gracious. Nice experience.

In the way home from Hilton head, we were actually looking for iHop because we had seen it coming in. At night, it may be hard to spot; we did a U-turn because we spotted the sign for it after we passed the entrance. This is a 24hr location with free wifi. Prompt service, pleasant experience overall. I got some wheat pancakes with walnuts which turned out to be super delicious. Average service, this is a large place that was almost empty on a Sunday night.

Waitress never checked on us, we had to go ask for refills. Did not get husband & my orders right, When we went to ask about this 3 wait staff where eating food themselves. To top it off I found hair in my food!!! When the bill came they had charged us for something we did not order, and did not give us a pin to sign. As we were leaving half the staff were outside talking and smoking. This was mind you at 2:00pm! WILLNOTBEGOINGBACK!!!

Personally, I really do not understand the popularity with this chain or how they are in business. First off, I am not the biggest pancake fan in the world, so that is a contributing factor, but I’m not an antiPancake person either. If memory serves, IHOP was about great pancakes, good coffee and fast service. Well, the last batch of flapjacks I did order, were kinda soggy and didn’t have a nice fluffy composition, they were more like toasted plaster. I have the 3 egg omelet here, totally over cheeses, with low quality cheese and each of these choices will cost about $ 9.00 which is not in line with the quality of service, food or just about anything. Support your local smaller café if its available. Pro’s: I always liked the blue roof’s.

Can you say pancakes? The one, The original– International House of Pancakes! Is there anyone in these United States of America that has not been to an iHOP? What can You say –pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and a coffee pot on the table! Life is good! This restaurant is relativity new, so it’s not a run down greasy spoon place(not that those are bad) :) just sayin sometimes the olé iHop places get a bad rap for not being as good as they could be? Oh well~ The food was iHOP good, service was very fast and efficient and one other plus was free WIFI.
