It’s okay, I wouldn’t eat there if there were any better Mexican places. The salsa is pretty good. The meat is usually bland and over salted. It’s overpriced, but they get away with it due to limited options. The chicken soft tacos are a little lass bland than the beef, but especially salty.

Margaritas great with homemade sweet & sour. Cole at the bar very knowledgable. Celiac menu available. Fish tacos awesome.

I considered The Bisbee Table to be the best choice for a dinner date, but I’m now changing that to Santiago’s — IF you’re wanting specifically Mexican food. We came at about 1:30ish, 2:00, so it wasn’t busy. We were seated in the bar area, and it was easy to attend to us. Rating them on the food, I will call this the best Mexican food I’ve eaten at a restaurant so far in Arizona. They are certainly the first restaurant that didn’t serve the food swimming in sauce. I normally add salt to my food, and ask for cilantro, lime, and jalapenos on the side, but the Zacatecas platter came with enough flavors. My boyfriend commented that he ordered«beef fajitas», but at other restaurants, the quality of the meat would have ranked as «steak fajitas». Good fresh salsa! I rate on the food, but my boyfriend’s two cents: his sweet tea was refilled before he could run out, and he considers the service as an integral part of the dining experience.

The food is spot on for excellent Sonoma cooking. Nice authentic atmosphere and very light. Local Pilsner on tap. Two thumbs up.

That was my first visit to Bisbee, AZ and hand to god was the worst, let me explain to you; we were group of 13 people, waiting was an Hour and after we finally seated, it took them an hour to get us the food, don’t mention we were the last table in the place and their excuse was that they were busy, and then to top it off the food was cold, I had to return and so the other guys did, the waitress was road and she didn’t care about how the customers satisfaction, her comment after my buddy told her that something wrong with his food«I am gonna go cry myself to sleep». I actually were very disappointed

The food was not bad but the refried beans and rice were cold and tasteless. The tortillas chips and salsa were great but the guacamole was just ok. My salad was rather tiny. It could have some beans which was listed on the menu but somehow missing. Disappointing on many fronts.

Loved having dinner at the bar, enjoying gold tequila with a little pomegranate liqueur, poured by friendly William, who was a recent addition to the staff. The place was full, and had that wonderful hum of the staff smoothly meeting the challenge: all the customers enjoying the atmosphere and the great food. I liked their presentation of the food, their commitment to making a distinctive culinary statement, and the understated way in which they accomplished this. An experience to savor.

Basic tourist joint. We stayed at the El Dorado Suites and this was in walking distance which is what we wanted. Margarita was decent. Chips & salsa pretty good. We got a salad to share with grilled chicken and that was pretty good. My entrée was just ok — same with my husbands. Just ok — he got fajitas and he thought the meat was boiled and then slapped on the grill. Everything had the same red sauce — beans sure seemed like they were from a can. Total tourist spot — nice location, nice atmosphere but the food, just ok. Would not go here again.

The ambience and decoration of the restaurant was nice, colorful and easy going. We got chips and salsa right away, and our server was very attentive. We ordered the Tableside guacamole, which was nice and fresh. I ordered the Zacatecas, which came with two tacos and one chicken mole enchilada. Everything was on a corn tortilla. I was looking forward to my grilled cod taco, but the texture was gritty and the flavor was off. The pork taco was fairly bland, though I like the pickled onion served on top. The chicken in the chicken mole enchiladas was overly salty. Overall I was unimpressed with my main meal. My fiancée ordered the steak tacos and loved them. She said they were flavorful and filling. Hers came on flour tortillas.

This was our first restaurant experience during our visit in Bisbee. And it was Wonderful! We came in and were seated immediately. Honestly, it was 3:30pm. So we didn’t expect a long wait. We were seated at one of the two seater table tops near the windows. We ordered 2 classic margaritas. I had the chicken, mushroom and spinach enchiladas and my guy picked the chile relleno because he is a connoisseur of them and must try them everywhere we go. They bring complimentary chips and salsa to your table. The chips and salsa are made in house and we thought they were very delicious. I wanted to put the salsa over everything. We ordered the elote appetizer as well. It was decent. We’re from Sedona and have had it at the restaurant Elote as well as make it ourselves so it wasn’t mind blowing good, but tasty. The margaritas we ordered were in those larger fishbowl glasses. Not the gigantic fish bowl like for sharing but just bigger than a small glass. They were refreshing and not too sweet. My chicken, mushroom and spinach enchiladas were very good. Tasted fresh and weren’t smothered/swimming in cheese. My sides were corn and the black beans. Definitely get the black beans. I am not a retried been lover of any sort, but I would guarantee these are better. The chile relleno was very pretty and cooked well. The only complaint was that there was an extra sour taste we couldn’t understand. Most likely it came from the sauce but we just couldn’t pinpoint it. So that will not be picked next time. The day we went, the staff was fun and attentive. The one girl seemed like she may have started her day with a couple sips of something to get her going, but I love when people are entertaining so we had a great time. I’m sure this place will be around on our next visit and we look forward to hanging out there again.

We came here for lunch, so no margaritas for us on our visit unfortunately. My expectations were high, since I had heard that Santiago’s had made some major«Top Restaurants» lists. However, maybe because I’ve been in Phoenix for the past few years, I was a little disappointed. I had the recommended shrimp tacos, which were definitely expensive for the quantity that you get. The flavor was okay, but I’ve had cheap $ 8 shrimp tacos at taco wagons that were better. Same goes for the mole and the enchiladas that I sampled. This might be the best Mexican food in Bisbee, but it’s below average in both Phoenix and Mexico. I doubt I’ll be back, but if I do, I’ll trust Unilocal and have some margaritas.

Excellent friendly service. A very inviting warm and clean atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. My wife had beef tacos and I had the Molcajete that I recommend you try. It is bubbling hot shrimp and beef served in a lava rock molcajete with a side of fresh hot tortillas. The corn was delicious served off the cob on a bowl with green chile.

It’s nice when a first impression goes so well. We sat at the beautifully crafted bar, since we like sitting side-by-side-rather than across from each other. It’s easier to share bites that way, rather than across from each other at the smaller two-tops they offer. Drinks were quickly served, chips and salsa flowed nicely, and the food came in due time. Everyone who served us offered smiles amidst the classy atmosphere. Plus, the food was«fresh and delightful”-just the way I like to think I come off, especially on «date night.»

This is top notch Tex-mex. mescal, margaritas, local brews! The bar staff took care of business and I left happy and faaaat. It’s a walk away from our RV spot. Well worth the cash!

Santiago’s what happened to you? This was my favorite place to eat in all of Bisbee! The service was always top notch, the food was always good! The place always seemed to be on hit for a place like Bisbee, where unfortunately finding good food is hard to do. You guys have fallen off! Our last experience was pretty bad. The waitress was unfriendly, and she barely paid her customers any mind. The menu had changed since the last time we were there, and it looked like they downsized to some basic options of burro, taco, enchilada, or chimichanga. No more combo plates, which is a bummer because being able to sample a few different items was one of the things that made this place awesome! Especially because the food was so good! This last experience had us paying $ 10 for a margarita that was on special… the marked down price! This thing was NASTY, it was way too sweet as if it was ONLY margarita mix! You couldn’t get a taste of any kind of tequila, or anything other than sugar. Which is pretty pathetic considering you guys bill yourselves as a tequila bar. This place offers a wide variety of beer on tap… yeah I said beer, as in 1! One beer on tap, a pilsner! =(At least it was local from the Bisbee Brewing Co.) The food wasn’t as spectacular as it has been over the last three years and portions have dried up a bit. If your trying to save money please don’t do this by not putting soap in the bathroom.(There really wasn’t any soap, the whole bag was gone, like isn’t there any closing duties here, it wasn’t even late in the day.) I could go on for a bit about the food, but considering we all know what crappy flavorless food is like I’ll spare you the details. Thanks for charging us $ 50 for a margarita and chimichanga, and a chili relleno! You are better off spending $ 5 on a brat or some chili at the brewery, and the rest on beer. Because your gonna end up spending that anyway on booze to get over the fact that Santiago’s just ripped you off.

Santiagos was such a fun experience and all food serve fresh to order. They allowed my 10 year old son to assist at making the table side guacamole he had it for the first time that night and has eaten it ever since. I rarely get away from Tucson with just myself and my three sons altogether this quick trip to Bisbee was such a treat and this was definitely our favorite meal!

I dined here alone late in the afternoon on the day of the Stair Climb. I sat at the bar to free up tables for diners who weren’t alone and received friendly, attentive service from the bartender. I ordered the Copper Canyon Combo(I think that’s what it was called), which was very photogenic and mostly enjoyable. My only complaint would be about the refried beans. They weren’t bad, but they didn’t taste«right» somehow. Just so-so, and I’m a huge refried bean lover.

We always stop here when visiting Bisbee. The food is delicious! I always get the roasted corn and the spanish rice. Carne asada is not bad either. My wife loves the fish tacos, the black beans and the fresh tortillas. The ceviche and a margarita is a must. Will definitely return to this place when we will visit Bisbee.

Based on reviews from friends and of course Unilocal,we decided to lunch at Santiago’s while visiting Bisbee on a Saturday. We arrived at 1pm, and had a short 15 minute wait for a table(all indoor seating). While we waited, we sat at the bar and ordered margaritas! They have a vast selection of tequilas. I opted for the house margarita(rocks and salt) which was simple, yet delicious and very fresh. I later found out when I got the bill, it was only $ 6…I should have had 2! Service was great, as were the endless chips and salsa. You can always note how good a Mexican restaurant will be by the salsa, and it was legit, with fresh flavors and a lot of cilantro! My dad ordered the Rocky Point fish tacos and husband ordered shredded beef tacos. As I was having a hard time deciding, I ordered the Zacatecas combo plate that let me try the holy mole chicken enchilada(the mole was incredible), Rocky Point Fish Taco(which I thought was just ok) and the Chilorio Taco(pork with lime and guac). I was happy to be able to choose my own sides(amazing corn and black beans). I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a sit down Mexican meal in Bisbee.
