Awful food, it’s ok for a cheap price but their prices are insane and the staff are kind of rude, I liked their chicken curry but the rice was awful, they don’t have much options. Don’t go there when there is a party, too much noise, loud music, it’s more like a dance club than a restaurant.

Great ambience and décor. The various food choices were not the typical Indian buffet food items. Great authentic flavors. And the desserts were exceptional.

The food and service was great but it’s unjustifiably pricy. An entrée without rice, two drinks and an extra Naan summed up to about 50 dollars.

Slowly working my way through the menu. So far, everything has been extraordinary. Two appetizers and one entrée was more than enough for two, almost enough for three. Servers were attentive, and helpful. Can recommend the shrimp on saag, tandoori shrimp and lamb appetizers, the eggplant entrée and the frozen dessert.

Not a great indian restaurant. There are better options all around. First off they were out of stock on most beers on a Saturday night. And the restaurant was mostly empty. The food was ok but it seems they try to add some other kind of flavors in the sauce that aren’t usual. Finally the service was just bad for example we had to ask for the bill multiple times and ended up having to walk up to the waiter to get the bill. It’s also very pricy for even indian food. There are lots of better options around don’t waste your time here.

Eow! I didn’t figure what they served but didn’t taste like food and absolutely no where close to Authentic Indian Food. Don’t bother eating for the night if you have no other option

Came here a few Friday’s ago with my family, and we really enjoy the food, & drinks! Highly recommend it! Glad I found this place, it’s was perfect for my family. I was especially impressed with the service our waitress Veronica provided. Could recall her name but found her name on the receipt. She was kind and very attentive to us even though it seemed like a busy that night.

Terrible experience!!! We were extremely hungry… called up and placed appetizer order 15 minutes before arriving at the restaurant, so that the food is atleast ready by the time we were there! Reached and it took about 45 mins to serve the food. Whats worse… we were the«only» customers in the restaurant for about an hour… we were served only half the order!!!

The cocktail is very good! The curry plates are big so I would suggest share with several people. The sauce for the masala papadam was very delicate and the mango lassi is thick and delicious.

I’m only giving 2 stars, rather than one, because the décor is nice and so is the location. Besides this, the place needs lots of improvement. The service was absurdly slow, the food was VERY subpar, and my wineglass came DIRTY, with old food encrusted onto the glass. Disgusting. Can only imagine how dirty the kitchen must be!

The buffet was OK but service was horrible! Paid $ 23 for champagne brunch and it took them 25 minutes to bring the drinks and we were half way thru! Oh my bad, they didn’t bring it. I had to flag the server and ask for it. On top of that, 15% gratuity for party of 3 and for buffet where they served bread only once and rest of the stuff was self serve! Will never repeat!

I very rarely write a 2 star review as I have lost a job from an unfair review. I want to save others what I experienced. Wonderful: Décor, menu. Not wonderful: We waited 45 minutes for our food. No one came to explain to us what created the wait, check on us, provide us something simple to eat to cover the wait, or give us an ETA. When we were forced into leaving from time constraint, I explained this to the server and bartender. They said the kitchen was behind tonight, and that they were sorry. They made no further overtures.

Good food, convenient(next door) to the Writers Guild Theatre. Everything was tasty and they’re very accommodating. I wished they would offer combination dinners — everything is a la carte. But I would come back.

Vadivel, or something, the manager has double charged us and hasn’t returned a call or resolved this for a week. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. The valet also disappeared so I waited 30 mins then had to break into the cabinet and go uphill to get my own car. We paid $ 135, got charged twice, for very basic dishes: pallak paneer, biryani rice, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobhi. Vadivel has no sense of what customer service is and is THE most rude manager we’ve ever dealt with. He actually tried to withhold his name for sometime until we got it from his employee. Don’t visit this restaurant, you’ll be overcharged or perhaps double charged. Very expensive, not worth it.

One of the few good restaurants in the Wilshire & Doheny area. Great food, great gluten-free options, but overpriced! I asked for a side of rice and got this $ 7 bowl.

This is my second visit here, this restaurant is for large parties, on this one there were about 200 people invited. The parking was free valet service. There was clean comfortable seating, large platters of appetizers were served before the buffet lunch. I like the fish the best, then came the main lunch and had all types of Indian food and was cooked well and tasted delicious. For the drink I had the mango lassi which was awesome. This is a superb restaurant with top notch service.

The best Indian food I have ever tasted. If you are a meat lover-you have to have a lamb Korma. Vegetarian? Vegetable kofta. With garlic main, of course. Love the ambiance, love the food and service so much that I just drove 45 miles to have chakra for lunch. Parking can be annoying in beverly Hills, but if you drive around the neighborhood, you’ll find free 2 hour street parking within 5 min walking distance. Also, make a reservation and ask for a cabana to get the full ambiance experience.

Brunch was awesome. Food is amazing, very flavorful !! Champagne, keep it coming ! Business lunch buffet style was exceptional. My team and I took our boss here for lunch a few weeks ago. I was a little concerned if he would like it since he is Indian. Happy to say, he loved it and wouldn’t stop eating, lol. He even said let’s come back here for all of our lunch celebrations and our team building meeting !! This is my third trip here. Thank you Chakra and chefs for an amazing experience ! See you soon :)

I didn’t eat here and I NEVER will! The hostesses service was completely despicable and down right intolerable. While waiting to be seated another couple walked in and asked for a table for two, the hostess prepared to take them to their seats. We confronted the hostess and said that we were here first and were told she would seat us after she sat this couple. NOSIR! At that point we left.

Great deal for lunch buffet. You get quality food. A lot of Indian people dining here, so you can tell this place is pretty good. It has great dining room with spacious space and beautiful decoration. That’s why this could be an ideal place for group dinner. But the next time when I called, there was an Indian guy on the phone with strong accent. I told him that I wanted to book a dinner on a certain date, then he told me that day was booked out and did not even suggest me for another time. No intention to save me, so I just hung up. And the second time when I called. It got even worse. The guy picked up and when I about to say I wanted to make a reservation for a group of people, he interrupted and said he was busy at the moment and asked me to call back. He didn’t even ask my name. I felt very unhappy, and decided not to call back, probably never call back.

I really liked Chakra. The staff were really nice and prompt. We went to the buffet on Sunday morning after the marathon and it was wonderful! I must have had at least 3 plates and at least as many mimosas since it they were endless! I have never had that much chicken tikka marsala before! The buffet selection was pretty good but I love chicken tikka marsala! The restaurant itself was also very nice and the outdoor seating was nicely shaded.
