Misrepresented the fact that we had to get two entrees to use the groupon option. We fell for it. The sweetie didn’t want to push back and we folded like a card table rather than ask them to explain this extra stipulation that is nowhere on the groupon voucher.

I came here with my family a while back. Ever since trying Indian food for the first time at a couple of places in Vegas, we’ve fallen in love with it. We stumbled on this place from our hotel. Apparently they’ve been here for more than 30 years. So we decided to check it out. The place was beautiful, I felt like I was in an actual palace, hence the name Bombay Palace. We were greeted very nicely and they even asked us where we would like to sit. Never had that asked before. Despite the many restaurants we’ve been to, this is no doubt the best we’ve ever had. We’ve been to a couple of Indian restaurants in LA before but none of them ever really matched up. The chicken tikka masala was to die for, no doubt the best I’ve ever had, and thats been my favorite dish for quite some time now. Our server kept checking on us making sure everything was ok. Always joking with us and just making us feel very welcomed. He even asked us where we’re from and told us some things to do while we were in town. Everything this restaurant has to offer was just absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to go back! Don’t think I can ever go back to another Indian restaurant after going here.

We have been patronizing Bombay Palace for 20 years. I was shocked that the owner whom we considered a friend grossly overcharged us for a family memorial early dinner. Very few people ordered alcohol. A few glasses of wine(by the glass). Mostly soft drinks and vegetable/chicken/shrimp dishes. The bill for 20 people was staggering $ 2,500. Any other Indian restaurant would have charged $ 50/$ 60 per person. BP charged us $ 125/person. The restaurant took full advantage of our host and obviously added unordered items to the bill. Mr. Chow’s would have been less, and the food is much better. We will not be frequenting this establishment anymore. If you go to this restaurant, please check your bill carefully.

I have been going there since the late 1980s. Was just there last night with my brother. As ALWAYS, had a wonderful, delicious dinner. The service is always great, reasonable prices and great food. I live out of town now but whenever I visit family in LA I always go. Highly recommend Bombay Palace!

Great customer service but overpriced small portions. Not worth the celebrity hype. Nirvana in Arcadia is a lot better!

loved the Hara bhara kabab!!! would like to comeback for lunch buffet!!!
I came here for the first time tonight as part of a large group celebrating a friend’s birthday. The food is wonderful. The service was above and beyond! I have a couple of food allergies(to a certain type of vegetable oil and gluten) and the staff not only checked the oil for me, but made sure to bring me a special gluten free appetizer when everyone was served Samosas. They also took special care of the vegetarian a few seats away from me. It was really incredible to have a staff be so attentive and caring to substitute food without being asked.(I usually just go without.) They were also incredibly friendly and on top of all drink requests and so forth. I highly recommend Bombay Palace.

Food is still amazing; the service is nowhere near good anymore. Had to take a star off. The food is really good, just wish I didn’t take so long for them to come by and check in tables(even when it is not busy). Sorry to take a star off.

$ 13.50 for a glass of «house wine»? Oh hell no! What is up with restaurants charging so much for basic wine? My husband and I were in Italy last month and we didn’t pay over $ 10 for a glass of wonderful wine. For some reason I was under the impression business establishments want people to come back, but obviously that’s me thinking crazy. I’m not cheap, but I know the taste of cheap wine(which i’m ok with for $ 6 or $ 7). I can’t help but feel robbed when i’m overcharged. I was one of 6 people in the place on a friday night– I should have taken that as a sign. Thanks, but NOTHANKS.

…1st time/last time… bleh? best was cucumber salad. not high praise. naan was ok, too. ordered a bunch of everything else and nothing really stood out. mildly fair at best. worst was some sort of curried spicy chicken. chicken very dry. sauce had some sort of discordant flavor. paneer tikka cheese was also tasteless blobs basically THISIS A PLACEWHOSEBESTYEARSWERE10YEARSPAST. BESTINDIANFOOD! Bombay Palace is gorgeous, big, clean, and has a great ambience. The service was outstanding as was the presentation. They have things on their menu that you wont see in other Indian restaurants. The food was perfect, not heavy and you can tell they use quality meat. Cannot wait to go again!

Being Indian and knowing what real Indian food tastes like Bombay palace is one of the best in LA. Their black dal tastes just like in india and their tandoori chicken is so succulent and tasty.

I got food poisoning here… Awful, terrible and disgusting. When I called the restaurant to tell them I got food poisoning the owner was very defensive and told me it was my medication combined with the food caused me to get sick !!! Unbelievable !!!

This restaurant must try. I went with my husband and we both liked it. Food so fresh, pure and delicious. I ordered malai kofta, garlic naan and gulab jamun all are so yum. Flavors are so perfect. Garlic naan just die for it. Ambience is good. Service is fast.

I came here after dinner to meet some Indians that I am working with. They had just eaten a huge vegetarian meal, the scraps of which I readily gobbled up. They were tasty. I also had a delicious and exceptionally sweet Mango-Lassi — as well as a Masalla Tea. The owner stopped by the table and was very pleasant. It seems that he also owns the more trendy Indian restaurant across the street — Nirvana. Nirvana is more hip — and much smaller — but with a lovely patio to eat in. However, back to Bombay Palace — The décor is charming. But for the life of me, I could not find the free parking lot. But I love Indian food — more than all but 3 other cuisines. So I look forward to returning for an actual meal that are not yummy bits of leftovers.

I went there for the first time last week for my friend’s birthday and was very happy with the delicious food. The okra dish was DELICIOUS! The dessert sent me straight to heaven. Their masala chai is yummy and authentic and the owner is the sweetest lady! The décor is beautiful and I will for sure be back!

This is perhaps the most expensive Indian food I have ever had in my life. And by far the smallest portions I have ever seen. They serve everything in small bowls and cut shrimp in half to make it seem like there are more, it’s highway robbery is what it is. They charge 15.00 for the vegetable dishes and they are tiny. Ambiance is nice, service is just ok. We paid 250.00 for 6 people, 3 of which are vegetarians and we ordered no appetizers and very little booze. Unbelievable, inconceivable.

First time for me. Food=5 stars. A little pricy-but worth it for the quality and distinctive flavors. Two of us ordered 5 dishes + bread and rice, and had plenty of leftovers. Tandoori Vegetables-AWESOME! Vindaloo is HOT-just how I like it. Tikka Masala-rich and delicious. Aloo Gobi-full of nice fresh cauliflower-not so heavy on the potatoes. Baingan Bharta(Eggplant) was delightful and the Onion Kulcha-soooo tasty. Had the Special martini, ok-had a couple. Refreshing, with mint and maybe cilantro. Three stars for slow waitstaff service. Will I go back-absolutely.
