I really love that place. Nice people, nice service. I wshed they would open before 5 – 6 pm, because the view is amazing.

We ended up here by default and if we didn’t live in Boston my wife and I would go here every Friday. The service was was fantastic, the décor was great, the atmosphere had a good vibe, the drinks were awesome,(try the peanut butter cup stout) the food was great and best of all the waiter somehow knew it was our one year anniversary and surprised us at the end with a nice desert wishing us a a happy anniversary. Like I said above if I didn’t live so far away I’d frequent this place every week. Thank you to all the staff who made our experience unforgettable and I hope sometime my wife and I will make it back out to see you all and do it all over again.

I recently held my 30th birthday at this place and I got the unexpected, in a very good way. I purchased a couple of bottles and all I thought is I was getting a table for about 20 people but when I showed up, they had given me my own section blocked off with a beautiful bar with my drinks and such set up. I just want to thank the staff especially Faisel(hope I spelled it right) and the Server who took care of everyone to the highest standard. Thank you so much. Had some appetizers too. Amazing sliders, lobster tacos, and truffle fries! Thank you again. See you guys sooner than later. Side note. I don’t how they got some bad reviews but you make your own experience

Stopped by here with my wife for some appetizers and drinks neither of which dissapointed. Hummus plate and sliders were fantastic. The cocktails were well mixed with a good pour as well. Servers were all very pleasant and accommodating. We took in the sunset on the patio and were still able to enjoy the singer crooning by the bar. Overall a fantastic evening and while a little pricey it is what you would expect from a bar/lounge at such an iconic and opulent hotel. We will definitely be back.

Oh My God, this place is ridiculously expensive. It’s hard to find a glass of wine under $ 18.00 and the food is $ 20.00 a mouthful. And it’s not even a good mouthful! The lobster mac and cheese is a joke and don’t get my started on the fish tacos. They even charge $ 5.00 for bar tap club soda! And you don’t get comped on the valet. I spent $ 100.00 and I left hungry with two glasses of wine in my belly. This place has some BALLS charging what they charge. Big brass ones that protect them from people like me who want to kick them after being subjected to their yucky food and severely over priced wine. Me no likey. Me no likey ATALL.

Couchois Brothers were super fun last night. I guess it was their first time playing at the Beverly HIlls Hotel. Did a good job. Love this bar and how private and chill it is.

My fiancée and I have been to Bar Nineteen 12(notice the confusing name) several times in recent months. The Manager and staff are even beginning to recognize us, which may or may not be a good sign. We love the Beverly Hills Hotel, the palm trees as you drive up, the red carpet, the glamour, what can I say ? The bar really consists of two distinct eco-systems. Inside there is the bar and several low tables. That’s where you go to snack, drink and listen to the terrific music 1912 offers just about every night of the week. Check out the website for an ever changing schedule or take pot luck. We often hang out at the bar itself, which is right next to the music and the«dance floor», which can get crowded but always fun. Outside is the terrace, in an L shaped with more tables and sofas. Perfect for lounging, overlooking the hotel gardens. You can’t see the musicians, but you can listen. We love the terrace but always slip inside when the music beckons. Everybody is very elegant at the 1912, from the guests to the bar men and the cocktail waitresses(apologies if that’s the wrong term) with their retro look. Nonetheless, the place does take a little navigating. We can’t help feeling sometimes that it’s more like a private club with insiders and outsiders, with us more in the latter category. Most nights tables get reserved up quickly so either plan in advice, or arrive at the bar early(8 or so) to guarantee yourself a stool. Otherwise you might be standing most of the night. As I write this, we’re primping to go to a Kentucky Derby afternoon at the 1912. We have a reservation, but I’m still uneasy that they won’t have a table for us or something. Obviously, this is the Beverly Hills Hotel and none of this glamour comes cheap. When the bill comes, we just remember what fun we just had and sign.

This place it the pits. And this is the Beverly Hills Hotel. No glamour. No style. Nothing special. You could be anywhere. If you want to go to a bar that looks like the Marriot at LAX and food from a food court in a mall, and expensive drinks then by all means go to Bar Nineteen 12, this is the place for you. They create mood with christmas tree lights behind drapes from Bed, Bath and Beyond and furniture from Frontgate. The only good part of Bar Nineteen 12 was our waitress. She was fantastic.

I didn’t like this lounge area. They ran out of my vodka when I ordered the second round. They played really loud salsa music over the speak, so it’s difficult to have a conversation. The hostess was rude to us when she told us the coach area was reserved for 8 people, yet we didn’t know this initially or we wouldn’t have sat down. So I prefer not to go here. The good news it’s not that crowded so you’ll definitely get a seat.

Always a great time. Perfect for groups, late night drinks on the terrace! The jazz performances on the weekends are very cool. Like old Hollywood scene. Nevermind the obvious… you know what I mean. ;p

GOONFRIDAYNIGHT. YOUHAVEUNTILTHEENDOFSEPTEMBERTOCATCH A REALLYGREATBANDANDSINGER, MARGOTHUNDER. Now read these reviews. They will tell you about the 17 dollar drinks and $ 35 wine. umm hmm. Be ready. But here’s what my date and I did for fun… We took a slow browse through the menu. The price range in this menu went from $ 17 — $ 1,000. For reals. I wanted to write in «House Wine…$ 5» real neat and stuff to see how many orders they would get. This is exactly why they don’t offer it! To keep people like me out of there! Anyway, We read about the different Johnny Walkers that were sold here, red, gold, green, blue and blue 180s or 280s or something, that blue 280s was a whopping $ 500 a glass!!! I suddenly understood why some nouveau riche are so obnoxious. If I had money to burn, I would have order all five of those Johnny Walkers and had a wheel chair on stand by, wouldn’t you? Anyway, We had a great time, heard about all the stars that came through in the past month, saw one and he was hell-a cool and partied along with us and with the great act that will be there until the end of next month, ONFRIDAYS. Forego Starbucks for a week or two. That lemon drop was maybe one of the best I ever had.

I totally agree with all the other reviewers. Bar Nineteen 12 is very over-rated and doesn’t quite live up to the hype. Unlike most of the other posts, I have no issue whatsoever with expensive drinks, as long as they’re worth it. Unfortunately, there’s nothing particularly special about this place. Sure, it’s fancy, but I’ve been to far swankier places on the Westside or the myriad variety of other rooftop bars scattered across downtown LA. The drinks are creative, and definitely stiff, but they just didn’t have any particular ‘wow’ factor to them. I wanted this place to be magical, but it just wasn’t. Also, my server was very aloof for some reason. He was not especially unfriendly or demeaning, but seemed to be immersed in his own little world on auto-pilot, refused to engage in any chit-chat, and seemed to prefer serving one of the many hot Persian girl-tables next to us. Understandable, but at least be more discrete about it, buddy. One thing that pleasantly surprised me is that unlike most other snooty hotels, the valet guys were actually pretty nice. Major props to them! Bottom line though: Overall, it was not bad, but not particularly great, and for the price you pay, I think one could do better. If you really want that quintessential Beverly Hills ambience and style, try SLS hotels. They’re expensive too, but their gin and tonic specials are far more classy.

Oh god, so expensive. $ 17 cocktails. I had the lavender and vanilla martini which was really good, but still, $ 17 is a lot. Went on Grammy night and it was completely dead. Sort of expecting a good crowd and some fun celebrity spottings. Just Jon Lovitz. Got a nice comfy seat out on the patio to enjoy our drinks, truffle popcorn, and olives.

Where the pumas and cougars battle for the doctors, lawyers, and self made millionaires. Had the opportunity of coming here because my buddy knew the DJ. As much as I love beautiful women, and this place was in no shortage of them, I was not a fan of paying $ 17 for drinks. This place is not for the cheap, not even for the middle class. This place is for the guys that burn hundred dollar bills to lit their cigarettes. It’s a fairly mix place when it comes to age, but for sex, the count was 4 smoking hot ladies to every 1 guy. My kinda odds. Unfortunately my lowly 3 series BMW was not good enough to bring any of these lady of luxury home. I think they were looking for the Bentley and Ferrari guys. Great ambiance and great spinning. Sandra(forgot her stage name) spinning is like watching a Victoria Secret lay down some beats. HOT! Will come back when I hit the lotto or become one of those self made millionaire.

Remember how Patty Stanger said that divorced men are most well kept secret in Los Angeles? Well, I think I just found out where they all hid. So for all you gold diggas, out there, this is yer spot. a trove of divorced men, just waiting to spend the cash-eesh at the bar. This place is very old Los Angeles. Since Beverly Hills Hotel remodeled, the atmosphere has lost the stink of cheese, and upped its clientele and vibe.(thank god). I attended a birthday party on the patio. I reveled at how beautiful everything was. And it is a sight for sore eyes. The craftsmanship of the place is apparent, and I can see why it’s in the beverly hills hotel. I’ve read some other reviews stating, that if one were to want to impress a date, or get into said date’s pants, one should«hit» this place up. well. unless you are able to take a «hit» on your credit card, I would definitely let this place slide. How pricey are we talking about? We’re talking 35 – 37 for ONE glass of wine. friend: «wait is that 35» me: ‘No, that’s a 1″ friend: «no, it’s definitely a 3» me: passes out. Now, I am all about paying for quality of food and wine. But that was just too much. So, stick to the mixed drinks, but you’ll still be eating ramen the rest of the week. final verdict: very classy, very beautiful, very good place to go huzzzband shopping, but there are so many other places in L.A., where they won’t charge you an arm and a leg for simply gracing them with your presence. unless you’re into that. and if you are, well, take the credit card, and go hit away.

It’s Friday night, you’re around the Westside and you’re in the mood for a leisurely drink to start off your evening before heading to your eventual destination. Odds are that whether you’re heading to Hollywood, K Town or Downtown, you’ll be heading east at some point anyway, why not glam it up a few notches and swing by Bar Nineteen 12 inside the Beverly Hills Hotel? If you’re looking to impress your date and you either have a nice set of wheels or you’re supremely secure in yourself, you’ll drive up to the valet. If you’re feeling a bit thriftier, maybe you’ll just street park it on Beverly Drive and just walk the extra 100 feet to the entrance. Once inside the door, you’ll swing a left and follow the music down the hallway where you’ll saunter into Bar Nineteen 12(the year the hotel was founded). A DJ can be spotted in the back, comfy chairs and sofas for you to relax in. A sweet, lighted stone bar that provides the ambience. Martinis to die for or a pitcher of Sangria, maybe? The selection is endless, no need to decide right away. It’s LA… it’s probably a warm evening. Why not stroll out to their patio where you can either sit in an intimate or group setting and enjoy a nice view and feel like life is pretty frickin’ good? Surveying the crowd, you notice that the demographics are pretty diverse here. You’ve got people in their 50’s+(generally hotel guests) sporting the Tommy Bahamas look, you’ve got the young agent types, the young so-cool-they-wear-sunglasses-indoors Iranians and a few other professional types. Sure, the drinks are pricey. Sure, the service is fairly average. Sure, the DJ’s musical selections are pretty generic and she seems more interested in reading the text message she just got than in figuring out a decent play list, but hey — it’s the Beverly Hills Hotel, can you really have a bad time here?

For all the hype, it was merely just an OK experience. The drinks were stiff, and the bartender was quite knowledgeable about the different selections of brandy and cognac that were proudly displayed behind the counter. On the night I went, the DJ was a woman who neither seemed warm nor friendly, and she kept flipping through her iPhone the entire night while clicking on her MacBook to cue up the next Motown song.(Note to all DJ’s: one of the most important things you can do is engage with your listeners.) The only good thing about the experience was the little display of Jell-O shots that reached our table.
