In the lower level of the BEVERLY hills hotel, and directly downstairs from the Polo lounge, it’s small yet inviting to all. Gets busy. Awesome pancakes. Fresh squeezed juices.

Had delicious breakfast in a very L. A-y atmosphere: Rod Stewart was sitting on the other side of the bar, enjoying the exact same food as we did! Pancakes were superb, French toast solid and orange juices freshly pressed. Go early if you want to avoid long waiting times.

LOVE the fountain coffee room at the BH hotel! I always get the cheese burger but I keep hearing about the pancakes so I I will have to try them on my next visit! All of the servers have been fantastic and been there a long time! I also love the retro banana leaf wallpaper! It’s definitely a hangout spot for Beverly Hills locals with alot of regulars! We are lucky enough to live a mile up the road from it and always run into someone we know there!

If you want a quintessential LA experience, then a stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel should be on your list. This big pink building has been an icon of the city, and its stars, for generations. The Polo Lounge is still a popular industry place to «do lunch.» Valet parking is $ 9 with validation. Simple, and they don’t look down on you if you arrive in less than a Rolls. Everyone is extremely nice(as they should be at a lux place, but they are genuine, too). The Fountain Coffee shop is downstairs from the Polo Lounge. It’s a small room, lined with the hotel’s famed palm wallpaper. There are no tables, just one long, curvy counter. And tall stools are bolted to the floor, so some are easier to get in than others, depending on the angle of the curve. I ordered the Grilled Russian on Rye(Turkey, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Cole Slaw and Russian Dressing) and my friend ordered the The Novogroder(Turkey Burger with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Grilled Onions, Cheddar Cheese and Russian Dressing). Sandwiches are $ 22, so it’s not cheap, but it’s an experience. Both were big, messy, delicious, and very filling. The staff is very pleasant and the napkins! OK, I don’t think I’ve ever liked a restaurant napkin enough to actually buy one, but I bought one at the gift shop just down the hall. They’re extremely high-quality woven cotton, pink with the hotel’s crest on it. Very cool. This is a fun place to come to feel like you’ve gone back in time.

The waitress was delightful and great. It’s pretty cool to see them prepare your juice on the spot. I Ordered the eggs Benedict and silver dollar pancakes it’s was great. Love this place and definitely a most on my next visit. Also, not a bad place to spot celebrities like we did that morning.

Tiny, windowless, no tables, basic breakfast for $ 20-something dollars a person! When the only good thing is the wallpaper, it’s time you went elsewhere. Do you realize curvey-countered vinyl-stooled diners are ALLOVERLOSANGELES??? People are posting that this place has the best food in LA: Totally mind boggling! People pay extra to feel rich/famous. Don’t bother with your Star Maps, just come to Fountain Coffee and be forced to overhear an obnoxious man making loud phone calls everyone could hear.

We live in the neighborhood and frequent polo lounge quite a bit and one day decided let’s try Fountain Coffee and boy am I glad we did! The quaint diner feel in the middle of Beverly Hills hotel transports you back to a time where everything seemed simpler and there is no BH ego or bouginess and everyone is just sweet! It feels like Cheers! Denise, who works behind the bar makes the place feel friendly and always has the answer to anything you ask and is so accommodating to any crazy dietary requests that you make and trust me, I have made some crazy ones. Her personality and energy is contagious and another reason we love to go to the diner! Food is always on point and made on a grill top right in front of you so you can see what you are getting and no surprises when you get your food. Best part of this diner is they serve breakfast ALLDAY! So when that french toast is calling your name for dinner — this is the place to run to or when your up before all of BH on a Sunday morning and can’t decide to where to quench your pancake cravings — this is the place to go!

I LOVED this place. After walking through the lobby, knowing you definitely aren’t a guest there, it’s reassuring to settle in at an old-timey counter. I had a delicious waffle and perfectly cooked bacon. The staff were no-nonsense and very capable. Everything was spotless and fresh, only the best! Chris Hemsworth and his mates were sitting a few seats down from us, but we paid him no mind, even though we were definitely starstruck! I can see why he chose this cozy little hole-in-the-wall!

It’s quaint and it’s hidden to most and it’s a place for celebs to be spotted(small scale). But it’s pricey for what you really get. I always order the tuna melt. It’s not the best I’ve ever had. The potato chips are always so good. I bet they are Lay’s. You know what, I don’t want to know. I want to believe my $ 15 sandwich’s potato chips are hand carved from the best potatoes in the world. You can order juices from Pressed Juicery now. Cool, though there are better places than Pressed Juicery. Like Press Bros. But WHATEVER. It’s a nice new options. You go here because it the vintage Beverly Hills Hotel ambiance. That’s why I take my Mom when she visits and pay that kind of money for a basic lunch.

Matt B. and I spent our anniversary weekend at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and we came to the Fountain Coffee Room for Saturday and Sunday brunch. The place is charming and little, very much a part of the hotel, tucked on a lower level with no windows and Beverly Hills Hotel wallpaper. It has a completely casual, unpretentious diner vibe, with an enormously expensive casual, unpretentious diner menu. I would have assumed it catered exclusively to hotel guests, but we gathered, from the chatter in the room, that a lot of the customers are regulars. I guess the people of Beverly Hills don’t mind paying double for their scrambled eggs. I will say it was a really pleasant place. Tiny with an open kitchen and counter seating. Friendly service. I could see myself being a regular if I had no opinions on menu pricing. As it was I restrained myself from ordering the $ 17 Bloody Mary. Matt asked, as coolly as possible, if there were refills for coffee(yes, there were). The food was solid, simple fare. I had a lox and bagel platter with tomato, capers, and onions for Saturday breakfast. It was good. Definitely hit the spot. Sunday, hung over after a wedding, I had a sautéed chicken breast sandwich with a side of cole slaw. It came on a burger bun with a standard run of vegetables, mayo, mustard. The chicken was on the dry side, but the sandwich was serviceable. Matt had waffles both days. Good waffle. $ 14. I’d definitely recommend the Fountain Coffee Room to guests at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The food is decent, the atmosphere quaint and comfortable. It’s also nice to dine in when you’re staying at a resort hotel. Otherwise, though, I wouldn’t say it’s worth seeking out. You can get a better hearty breakfast for half the money elsewhere.

Location –A. Décor– A(because I like the kitschy tone). Friendly staff-A. Cleanliness –A. Food-C.(insert waaaa-waaaaa deflating horn sound). Jealous, seething looks flooded the valet area when we pulled up in my Subaru Outback into the Beverly Hills Hotel, famous Beverly Hills Landmark, famous for such Hollywood royalty gracing its red carpet entrance such as Elizabeth Taylor, Howard Hughes, Bob Hope, Marilyn Monroe, etc. It was updated and looked to have a polished look, newer carpets and furniture, but staying in its old mid century luxurious grandeur. We went to the Fountain Coffee Shop and we were surprised it’s literally like a tiny room with a diner counter with about 20 seats. Luckily, there was 4 seats together and we sat down. The lady behind the counter took our drink orders, hot tea for my older daughter and myself(we each got a diner style white, plastic teapot), hot chocolate for my younger daughter and water for hubs. I loved the soft pink Beverly Hills Hotel linen napkins and proper table setting for a diner. The sugar packets even are pink and white and have the BHH logo. «Toots adorbs,» said my younger daughter. I ordered ONE egg and it comes with a patty of hash browns, and a bagel. Blech! The hash browns were dry, slightly burnt and bland! The simple egg was just a scrambled egg, and my «plain» bagel I think was onion, not good with the cream cheese and raspberry jelly I smeared on it. My daughter ordered grilled cheese and fries. Texas toast style sandwich and crispy, delicious fries. French toast for the younger one. Full disclosure; she has a refined palette for a kid, she said the toast was also bland and nothing special. However, she did appreciate the cute, little bottle of grade A Vermont syrup instead of the gross corn syrup stuff most diners hand out. Husband got 2 eggs, chicken-apple sausage and dry, wheat toast. He shrugged it was pretty basic. Bill-$ 102. You pay for location and history here, not the food quality. The Polo Lounge upstairs has the same look as the diner/coffee shop. Check out the hotel and pool, you can feel the old-timey Hollywood vibe is still alive and well.

LOVED this cute little, quaint place. A must go-to if staying here! Amazing breakfasts. I had read an article once on the famous Turkey Club from the hotel so had to try it. Unfortunately the guy was new and he wasn’t so sure how to make it. He also forgot the extra avocado I requested– but he was SO nice and took it back and made me a whole brand new one. It was pretty good. But I must say some of the salads/fruit and yogurt the other people were eating looked better. NICEST service EVER. I loved this little place!

I met an out of town friend for breakfast this past morning… great intimate setting which so much history. Menu consists of all the usual favorites… I ordered the pecan waffle(served with warm maple syrup). The food was very good, service was responsive, and the prices were not too bad given the location. Give this one a try if you want to eat at one of LA’s more historic locations

I ordered the silver dollar pancake bites with their Grade-A Vermont syrup. The batter was great; it was fluffy and had a creamy texture. Typical pancake really, it’s just pricey due to the location. The syrup made the difference here! Great tasting syrup! The seating was nuts; just a Long Island in the middle that seats about 20 people. Not cool. Lol Service was limited too. There were two servers and one cook which the cook handled everything on his own from prep to cooking. The drip coffee here is plain and nothing special. Tasted like cheap coffee which disappointed me but oh well. I’d still come back! Thanks!

The food was fine… simple and satisfying… but not innovative. What really is great is the ambiance. I felt like I was in another time where service mattered, cleanliness ruled, and classic style was king. No loud music… no sense of having to rush to eat and get out. They were also open to customization — I asked for spinach with my scrambled eggs and they were able to bend the rules. A couple next to us had a lot of customized requests and those were handled with ease. The only caveat is the parking fee to access the restaurant; I don’t think there are any other parking options. But, I guess if you’re shelling out the dough to eat here, a valet charge is a piece of cake.

3 stars for the eggs Benedict today. I love it but something’s missing on their ingredients probably on the hollandaise sauce. Or probably the cook should put more love in it to make it more delicious. Anyway, this place is really good for breakfast. About 16 people only in the room and if you want to have that feeling of an «exclusive breakfast» you should come here. You will be sitting on the counter and get a sip of coffee while watching the chef cooking your food. Get the cappuccino or even the regular brewed – they are house blend, taste smooth and great!

I come here because I have yet to get to that place in my life where I can happily afford the famed Polo Lounge. However, this is not a lowered alternative by any means Set up like an old-timers soda shoppe, the Fountain Coffee Shop still retains the familiar banana leaf wallpaper while cloth napkins take on the pre-requisite pink touch needed to coordinate with the rest of the Pink Palace. The counter itself is an interesting wave-shape that curves around the narrow room, where basically no patron can ‘hide’ behind the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter. I can see this place becoming quite packed but the times I’ve been, it’s been rarely more than a handful of people. Ordering a milkshake just seems like the thing to do, and they do their chocolate milkshakes serious justice. Almost too rich for my taste(what else do you expect), this was one of the creamiest I’ve ever had the chance to enjoy. My typical coffee shop fare was that of hash browns and extra crispy bacon; both were done way better than what I had expected. I don’t know who raves about hash browns but if you’re a fan, you must try these. Yes the portion is small, but it’s well worth it. I guess the wealthy tend to eat dainty sometimes, and this was no exception. You can valet, or do what I did: park along Crescent Drive for free and take a short walk up. If you’re feeling guilty after your meal/milkshake, park further away(goodness forbid). I’m pretty sure I burned everything off on my walk back…
