Dirty. I sat at the sushi bar, and the surface of the bar was all greasy and glisteny– ew. Then I notice that the glass case where the sushi is has caked on gunk all over it. No gracias.

Probably by far the worst sushi restaurant in the area. My wife and I gave this place 3 chances. First time we went we had a very unpleasant waitress and the sushi wasn’t that great. Second time we went was 8:45pm and they were supposed to be closed at 10p and when we arrived the guy up front didn’t even want to give us a to go order. When I asked don’t you guys close at 10 he just shrugged his shoulders. Today we tried to go again and despite the closing time being 10:30 they were closed again at 9:30. We ended up going to minami in massapequa and I must say this place is 100x better than little Tokyo.

Ordered food from grub hub… they delivered fast, food was fresh and nicely prepared. This place was on point with the food and price! Over all I would recommend it. Plus their vegetarian rolls are delicious! The avocado rolls and peanut avocado rolls were amazing! The sweet potato tempura roll was delicious as well.

I’ve been to a lot of japanese places, this one by far has been the best. The staff there is great and warm to me, we chat and they are super friendly. They have the –best– Yellow tail sashimi I’ve ever had, its fresh and tasty. Very high quality food, very hard working owners.

Absolutely love this place, hidden little gem in a corner shopping center next to a bar… carry out is always extremely busy but the small restaurant in the back is always dead! Great variety of specialty rolls – a lot of which I’ve never had but absolutely LOVE! Sushi is top notch have been back twice since.

Very consistent food. Delivery is good. My kids love the rolls and the miso soup. The dragon roll is pretty good. The prices are reasonable.

I picked you lunch here last week and I’m probably not going back in the near future. I ordered a miso soup and the fire cracker roll. The soup was okay nothing special and the roll was much spicier that it led on to be. After my meal I was painfully nauseous for the next two days.

Best sushi in the area! So fresh and made with care. The special rolls are so beautifully crafted too. Definitely the best chicken fried rice around. The staff is so friendly and eager to please. Beautifully decorated place inside, great atmosphere. Great for dates, family dinners, and also for stopping in for lunch.

I just had lunch at this restaurant and wanted to write this review right away. This place is wonderful! The food is fresh and flavorful and our waitress, Sue, was a complete sweetheart. Can’t wait to go here again. I ordered the dinosaur eggs(delicious) and Crispy Rice for appetizer. I have never seen that crispy rice dish anywhere else and it was sooo good! For rolls we got the Long Island and Black Samurai rolls. Would highly recommend both!

This place is great! I always enjoy the rolls from here. Nice portions and Sue in the front is very friendly. I suggest this place doesn’t look like much but don’t let this keep you from going. Fish is fresh and I have never had a bad experience. Little Tokyo rocks!

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants right in my neighborhood. Everything is so fresh like the maki rolls — also reasonable prices for exceptional food — even more standard dishes like shrimp tempura and beef negimaki are outstanding — always receive friendly service and looking forward to next time!

I ate here yesterday and ordered the lunch menu bento box. it came with a salad, soup, siomai, 2pcs shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, rice and california roll. Nothing special about the food. Salad needs presentation, soup is bland. the tempura has a thick batter and california roll is not tasty. Price is decent. Not cheap but reasonable. Staff is slow and quiet. Im not coming back to this place.

I went there and waited 45 minutes for 3 rolls. The rolls kept falling apart with my chop sticks and the servers were rude.

I always enjoy trying out the new local businesses. You gotta support the little guys! But I also have to speak the truth. And truthfully, I feel bad writing this but my experience here was not that great. I came in on a Friday night, the place was crowded(mostly high school aged kids), but not jam packed. They had open tables, but it took a while for the waiter to seat us. Once we got seated we waited some more… unfortunately this was the trend for the rest of the night. We waited for our drinks, we waited for our apps, we waited for our meals. My appetizer came so late it came 2 mins before the meal. I over heard the table next to us also complain about the slow service. Our original waiter appeared to be brand new. He wasn’t sure if they had iced tea or really how things worked. He then disappeared and we then got a waitress who was very apologetic and very sweet. She was working hard and seemed stressed… maybe they were under staffed. It seemed like they fell behind and were never able to catch up. The food was OK. Sushi tasted fresh… although it didn’t hold well, coming apart very easily once the chop sticks touched it. Nothing wowed me, but the flavors seemed to be on point . Due to the long wait times it would have been nice to have something complementary… not the case. The meal was inexpensive though. All and all it wasn’t too bad, but the long wait soured me. From the reviews I guess I caught them on an off night, but I’d still be leery about going back.

New Japanese place — It was a pleasant surprise to see it completely modern inside. its hard to guess it from the outside in a very small strip center. Casual dining and friendly people. I tried the hibachi style lunch with shrimp & scallops & sauteed vegs… was good! Took it to go. I liked their clear broth miso like soup but without the cloudiness… it was clear. Salad was standard iceberg, but the ginger dressing was orange and pasty and good! Just south of Hempstead Tpk on Rt 107. although it says Stewart Ave, its where the two meat on the west side of Hicksville Rd(107). There seemed to be more takeout than dining in. Likely looks are deciving — it has enough ambiance for a nice lunch place or casual dinner.
