Came in on a beautiful day with my mom for lunch. They had the doors to the outdoor seating open. It was very nice. We got a lunch special — a salad and a 6 slice pizza — for like $ 12. The salad wasn’t good. It was a house salad with just lettuce and cucumbers and dressing. The dressing seemed like oil and vinegar but was dry and we got more. Salad still wasn’t good. The pizza came out quickly. And it was so so good! We got the Classico one. Pizza cheese and oregano. The crust was thin the sauce was rich the cheese was hot gooey and melty. I would have liked more cheese but over all superb! Large enough to share with it still being a lighter lunch. We also got dessert. I got a cannoli which was the BEST cannoli I have had in a while. It was light creamy and crispy. The filling was great with chocolate chips on the sides and a hint of orange zest to it. My mom got a cherry coffee pastry thingy that was equally delicious. Service was friendly, prompt and hospitable.

Had dinner just because the restaurant was walking distance from my hotel. I was so pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. Jessica was my server and she was fantastic. She recommended the Burrata Con Pesto which was delicious! So glad I went with her recommendation. Service was quick, courteous and friendly.

Normally, I never ask for specials at the restaurants. Boy, am I glad I did this time at da Marco. Pizza Porcini. Oh. My. God. Who would have thought that porcini mushrooms, arugula and shaved pecorino Romano(likely will go just as good with parmiggiano) are made for each other so well and need no tomato sauce to please! The only thing that makes me sad is that this pizza is not on their regular menu. If you read this on March 16, 2016 — you still have your chance, though.

Pizzeria Da Marco is one of my go-to restaurants in the Woodmont Triangle area– both for dinner and happy hour. They do have a lunch menu; however, I have never been here for lunch. For happy hour, they offer a limited menu of discounted appetizers($ 4 – 5), two discounted pizzas($ 5 – 6), and discounted beer and wine. I believe you have to sit in the bar area for the happy hour discounts(long bar and high top tables). For dinner, my favorite appetizers are the caprese($ 11.50) and bruschetta($ 7.95). You can’t really go wrong with any of the pizzas, but my favorites are the classic margherita pizza($ 13) and the solo carne pizza(tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, salame, basil, and parmesan; $ 15). On Wednesdays, wine bottles are half-price, which is pretty awesome. The service for dinner has been fairly good overall, and the meal is usually paced well. The décor is cute, but it can get a bit loud when packed. Overall, a great place if you’re craving delicious pizza for happy hour or dinner!

We absolutely LOVED this restaurant. Everything was delicious from the burrata salad and pizza right down to the dessert and beer. :) The pizza here is authentic Neapolitan-style pizza. Of course, the true test of a good pizza is the crust itself, and Pizzeria Da Marco’s did not disappoint. Their crust had just the perfect amount of crunch, give, bubbles, and salt. The burrata salad was DIVINE, one of my favorite parts of the meal. The tiramisù was also highly memorable as well; it wasn’t overdone like a lot of American versions often are, i.e., a pile of creamy heavy glop and ladyfingers soaked in hit-you-over-the-head strength liqueur. No, this tiramisù got the balance right — the ratio of ladyfingers to mascarpone to liqueur was just perfect. The coffee flavor was present but not overpowering. The wait staff was helpful and attentive and the restaurant itself had a nice ambiance. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable. We will most definitely be returning here!

Visited this place on Saturday night after Thanksgiving and was nicely surprised; after 35 years in the NYC area I am a bit picky about pizza and thought this was really good. The arugula salad was fabulous, and my group could easily have shared another one. We had Mushroom, Sausage, and a combo pizza and I loved them all. I think it’s best to stick to single(or maybe two) toppings; the pies are not very large but are very well done. Bravo!

Very affordable restaurant with unique pizza and salad choices. Pizza crust is thin and chewy and pizza is fire baked. Ambience is a bit lacking as the dining area is open and large with bar and televisions in view. Would be suitable for large groups. Service was impeccable and our waitress made the entire meal pleasurable. We will return if we are in the area again.

This place is a great Neopolitan pizzeria. Very family friendly, excellent wine selection with very reasonable prices, friendly staff, and good pizza.

I’m craving pizza and have celiac and a dairy allergy. So I emailed to find out what pizza options were available and found out there were no options for someone with my food allergies and that I could choose an item from their antipasti menu(which has cheese on it). I get it. Food allergies are tricky. But it isn’t impossible and another Napoli pizza restaurant serves the best pizza I’ve ever had(it’s in downtown Frederick). Disappointed, especially since this restaurant is about a block from my apartment. It could be my go-to, instead of a place I don’t recommend to anyone.

The food was good, the service was exceptional. We went for happy hour and shared the stuffed peppers, insalada misto, and a plain margarita pizza. The peppers tasted good but i couldnt taste the sausage in them. Salads were as expected, and the pizza was great: thin crust, flavorful sauce and fresh mozeralla. I like how they have an authentic neopolitan oven. I dont remember the bar tenders name but she recognized most of the people and knew their orders before they sat down. She was quick on water refills too. I dont remember her name but she was great.

I’ve been driving by Pizzeria Da Marco for years now, and every time I drive by, I keep saying to myself, «I need to put them on my list.» I finally got there yesterday for lunch, as part of a group work outing, and I’ve come to find that I’ve been missing out some absolutely wonderful pizza. The pizzaiolos at Pizzeria Da Marco use traditional Neapolitan pizza-making techniques and ingredients, and that approach makes for some of the best pizza in the DC area. I had the quattro formaggi, which uses three of the four cheeses you’d normally find in this pizza(mozzarella, parmesan, and fontina), but makes a playful take with the fourth by using gorgonzola — and these four particular cheeses coming together(along with the fresh basil) make for a great flavor combination. The pizzas, which are a generous 12″ individual size, are steaming when they come out of the 900° oven and are whisked to the table piping-hot. All eight of us really enjoyed our pizzas, with thumbs-up all around. Finally, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and our server Emily was wonderful, making sure everything was taken care of throughout our lunch. The restaurant also has a very nice bar area, where you could comfortably have lunch or dinner whether you’re dining alone or with friends. I’m glad I finally made Pizzeria Da Marco’s acquaintance!

After a loooong hike, I felt I would simply eat all the calories back that I just burned. Great thinking, right? Anywho, at the suggestion of a co-worker I came to try this place out. Located on Woodmont Ave, pretty easy to spot from the road. Parking is pretty decent, as there is street parking available and there are nearby garages which are free on the weekends. Once inside, it is pretty open, but not cluttered. It wasn’t too crowded on this date. The menu had a nice range of items from pizzas, to calzones, salads and the like. There is a daily pizza special, in addition to lunch specials(Mon-Fri). Also, there are other specials to try that aren’t on the menu. For an app, I had the panzerotti, I tried the funghi and ruchetta pizzas. To start off, the appetizers are considered to be mini calzones. They had ricotta, fontina and prosciutto. The order came with three and a side of sauce. They were alright in my opinion. I can’t say that I was able to taste, all that it had advertised. Also, I thought they were a bit oily. For the pizzas, each are about 12 inches, so they are a nice size. The crust is a delight, and they had plentiful toppings. The funghi was basically a mushroom pizza with fresh basil and mozzarella. It was delicious! The second pizza that I tried, which I must admit, I did like more was the ruchetta. This is a white pizza, so no marina sauce here, just prosciutto, arugula, cherry tomatoes and fresh mozz. I totally think that this pizza was pure perfection. The toppings were plentiful and fresh, and all of the flavors mixed well with one another. Service was great, he was über attentive. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

I’ve been there with my girlfriend on Friday night. We didn’t have a reservation(the restaurant doesn’t make reservations) but they immediately gave us a nice table. The staff is very kind and pleasant, and the place looks elegant, with a nice soft illumination. We ordered the octopus as appetizer and then two pizzas: octopus was tender and juicy, pizzas reminded me of Italy, not the best Italian pizza I’ve ever eaten(I’m from Italy, you know…) but tasty and with a good consistence. Overall I’m very satisfied with Pizzeria Da Marco and I think I’ll go back there soon!

I’m officially mad at myself for having this place across the street from my apartment for 2 years and not trying their food until the other night. The pizza was fantastic. Some of the best I’ve had in the DC area We had 4 and shared for the table,. And a buratta salad that was also delicious! This place is now high on my list of bethesda restaurants! Can’t wait to go back!

Good Happy Hour specials. For $ 15.95, I got a salad, pizza, and glass of wine. Selection is limited on the Happy Hour menu though, so you may need to cough up the dough(get it?) and order off of the regular menu. The pizza was… different. I was told that it is authentic, but I’ve never been to Italy(I am Italian, but pizza was not one of the food traditions of my grandparents). The sauce tasted tart to me(which I’m guessing is how it is supposed to be). The crust was chewy. I thought the pizza was fine, better than those burnt pizzas that are so «in» right now. I prefer a deeper red sauce but I would eat this again. Arugula salad was perfect for pre-pizza – large yet light.

We went with a large group for dinner on a weekend and it seemed busy but not crowded. One among us was a vegetarian and so we ordered a few different pizzas that would suit all of us. Their house beer was honestly not very good but our server let us switch out to one that suited us better. The white pizza was delicious, a special for that weekend which suited everyone in the group just fine. The Little Italy was an excellent choice, that had a good amount of sausage and peppers and onions, it was like sausage and peppers in pizza form. We were in and out, all the pizza gone and their house beer seriously something to avoid. They have other beers on tap, go for those.

I came here for a group lunch for a coworker’s going away party. He is Italian and a huge pizza-holic, so has tried all the popular places in DC. He insisted that we come here, since it’s at the top of his list — the list being: 1. Pizzeria Da Marco 2. Il Canale 3. 2Amys(I haven’t been) But after trying the pizza here, I politely disagree. I thought the pizza from Il Canale was far better than Da Marco. I got the daily special here, which featured speck(smoked proscuitto), gorgonzola, and buffalo mozarella, and it was very meh. I don’t eat neapolitan pizza much, so the only thing I could compare Da Marco to is Il Canale. While the quality of toppings from both establishments are similar, the crust at Il Canale was so much lighter and more bubbly, whereas Da Marco is denser and moreso resembled American flatbread pizza. We also split the nutella pizza for dessert. That was exceedingly decadent and a tad too rich for me. Overall, I don’t think I would return on my own accord, although if I do, I would try the affrogato. I was eyeing it the whole time but didn’t end up ordering it sadly :(
