Best restaurant in Bethany and a top restaurant at the beach. This restaurant delivers with having great menu variety, creative and unique dishes, and great tastes. The most recognizable theme is the layering of flavors as everything is thoroughly created. Nothing is bland or lazily prepared like lots of touristy places. A tapas themed menu with larger than traditional sized tapas. A definite must stop for the culinary at heart

Really great food and cocktails. We enjoyed corn pone, mexican corn and a couple of entrees. Everything was really unique and creative — and delicious. I look forward to returning! The only issue was that the stuffed jalapenos still had all the ribs and seeds — and I thought my mouth would never stop burning. I had the same appetizer at another restaurant in Lewes — and the peppers were cleaned.

Impressively Delicious & top dining experience. 1) We really enjoyed the modern, fresh twist of tapas; though still lots of great and fresh seafood options. 2) Very creative drinks with fresh fruit &/or spices. Their craft cocktails are a must try(so good that everyone at our table got 2 drinks). 3) Incredibly thoughtfully planned, detailed presentation & well combined food flavors. Our favorites were: –octopus(perfectly seared, whole tenacle with lentils) –truffle fries(salty & vinegar made your senses rejuvenate) –Soft shell crab on baby kale(pan seared perfection & juicy, not battered or cooked to death), –roasted root & garden veggies(well flavored and not overcooked, excellent variety of real root vegetables, an herbivore or carnivore’s delight!)

Love this place. Discovered it last year and was very surprised at how good it was. My wife and I sat on the patio on the side and had it to ourselves for half the night. We love the tapas style and stuff just flies out of the kitchen. Service was handled by the large staff but never missed a beat. Mac and cheese was great and filling. The cheese balls were a hit. The pistachio dust was amazing. Licking the plate clean is what should have been done but obv it’s not acceptable in public. So I used the pizza crust do mop it up. We had the veggie pie which was great and made good leftovers for the next day on the beach. Dessert was the apple tart and ice cream. Just a perfect way to end the night.

Surly server soured us on this place. Last night, my husband and I arrived and asked if they were still serving dinner at 9:30pm(a Friday night) and the hostess said yes. She led us to a table in the middle of the small restaurant, and left us with menus while various servers milled around on either side of us, studiously avoiding making eye contact. 10 minutes later, I flagged a server down and told him we were ready to order, and he replied he’d be back. As more minutes ticked by, we decided to leave so we could make it to another restaurant prior to closing time. As we were making our exit, my husband saw the server smirk and wave his hand dismissively at us, so he approached him to inform him why we were leaving. The server told him he was far too busy, and anyway we were not his station, so he would have been doing us a favor by serving us. My husband told him we’re in the service industry also, and the correct answer would have been to say something like«Excuse me sir, this is not my station, let me find someone to help you.» To which this snarky guy replied«Whatever» If I were the restaurant manager/owner, this employee would be fired post haste, whether it’s the end of the season or not. Perhaps his lame defense is that he’s fed up with serving tourists, so this guy’s in the wrong business. His bad behavior will have repercussions as previously, my husband and I would encourage everyone headed to Bethany Beach to try 14 Global. Those recommendations will no longer be forthcoming.

This restaurant was highly recommended to try in Bethany. We arrived at an early hour for dinner and was greeted by a young hostess. We asked for a table of 6 and was informed that it would be a 25 minute wait because the kitchen was backed up. We thought that was strange as many tables to sit were open and available. We kindly asked if we could sit and just order drinks and the manager came over and said no which again was strange. She seemed very nice and we asked if the food was good and informed her that we usually eat in Rohobeth at Eden. We should have immediately known to be aware after her reply. She stated once we eat here we would never go back to Eden. In any regard we were all very excited to have a great meal and kept an open mind. We were seated promptly in the 25 min as promised. Service was fair, the atmosphere and lighting were boring. We ordered many items to share such as their caramelized cauliflower which was awful. This came out soggy, burnt and dry and nothing was caramelized about it. We ordered the asparagus with crispy prosciutto which was over cooked and wilted and the prosciutto was not crispy but rather thick little pieces that were hard as rocks. You could have easily broken your tooth on it. It simply had no taste to it. We ordered the truffle fries which were decent and had this side of cream or sauce that came with it that was like a side of flavored mayonnaise. We ordered ahi-tuna which was decent and we asked for a few more crisps to go with the appetizer which they added $ 2.50 for them which were greasy to begin with. Pretty tacky to charge for this, not to mention to charge you and not inform you. We ordered the Caesar salad which was decent. The last app we ordered was the corn on the cob which again was over cooked and tasteless. My family ordered entrees for themselves and I was so turned off from the tasteless food I decided to order another appetizer so I ordered the beef tacos. The meat was hard and dry and tasted awful. We ordered several orders of the rib eye steak which was fatty, dry and look like a hockey puck less the ice. My wife ordered the halibut without the crab cakes for $ 31 bucks and it was the size of quarter and I am not kidding. I guess half way through our dinner they offered my wife a salad to make up for the missing crab cakes which was very nice but I am sure they felt guilty about serving a 2 bite fish for $ 31 bucks. In the end we had 3 drinks and we were forced to order a bunch of small bottled waters since they didn’t stock the larger bottles for about $ 24 bucks in water. The bill with gratuity was a little over $ 300 dollars. I had one piece of soggy asparagus, a couple of fries, some soggy burnt cauliflower with hard pieces of prosciutto, a dry taco for dinner and BAM $ 305 bucks. This was not an off night, they were not overwhelmingly busy the dinning experience was sub par at best and the forced smiles from the servers were as depressing as the food. The truth is I very rarely write reviews but I was compelled to do so especially after the cocky manager informs me that this food is amazing and that we will never go back to Eden in Rohobeth after eating here. Let’s just say we ran back to Eden the very next day which was our 3rd visit on our vacation and again it was to perfection. Now if you want a solid amazing dinning experience please save your money and go to Eden!!! There you will find seasoned service, romantic lighting and the décor to match. Real candles not battery operated fake candles and the food is cooked to perfection with lots of care and love in each entrée. And yes they take American Express!!!

This was one of our better dining experiences in Bethany Beach. The restaurant is very cute and located near the Bethany Beach boardwalk. They seated us even though we didn’t have a reservation. The waiter couldn’t be nicer. We indulged in their Tapas Menu. We had: Kings Cup — a very different beverage with a Malbec wine base Blood Orange Mojito — very tasty Caesar Salad — very good and interesting. They grilled the romaine lettuce. Charcuterie Plate — nice assortment of cheeses and prosciutto. Ahi Tuna — it was okay, a little to hot for my taste. The wontons were greasy. Mini Tacos — the mahi taco was good, the pork belly taco was poor. It didn’t taste like pork belly more like burned, greasy fat. No sweetness. Blondie with Salted Caramel Ice Cream — very good but the ice cream was about 40% melted when it got to the table. The bathrooms were very clean. All in all we had a very pleasant dining experience.

We had a very delicious meal tonight! Octopus was very well presented and just perfectly cooked! Also, we had surf & turf tacos, also very good! Cocktails are outstanding! I have to say, the description of the meals on the menu really doesn’t do the food justice! Much better than described! Waiter was pleasant. He mentioned that a big party was coming in and we should get our order in before they arrive. It was a good tip! We’ll definitely be back!

LIFECHANGING, yeah I said it! If you are doubting whether or not you’d like things on the menu you need to try it bc your pallet needs it. This place is in Bethany and you’d think you are in downtown New York. We waited 90 minutes for a table of 6, but honestly it was worth every second I could’ve waited 2 hours. I do recommend reservations though. Our meal was absolutely incredible! flavor combinations are insane best ingredients used to its max potential all across the menu. We got guac, crab dip, soup trio, cornbread, truffle fries, mahi tacos, pork belly, Thai mousles, seafood Mac n cheese, pork chop, beat salad(only thing that I wouldn’t get again it was average), lemon blueberry tart, blondie, banana peanut butter cheesecake, crème brûlée, & bread pudding. All of these were wayyy above average!!! Everyone order something different and sample it all, then sit back and watch chefs menu unfold before your eyes truly beautiful and delicious well done chef!

Would give it 6 stars if I could! The halibut, veggie tacos, and Caesar salad were all amazing. Some of the best halibut I’ve ever had. The coconut lime soup was so different I loved it. This place had a great vibe and atmosphere that is different from most places in the area. If you want something hip and somewhat exotic with delicious food I would come here! I could see a place like this doing well in New York City because it was so great. Also Irene was a wonderful waitress she was very sweet and efficient. Awesome place!!!

I came in party of 8 and chose outside seating. I can’t say much about the interior of the store but the waitresses were nice and knowledgable. The steak was very good and definitely worth it’s price. The drinks were also fair for their price. We order several of their appetizers, which were great.(The asparagus dish isn’t worth the price though) If you’re around Bethany Beach, this would make a great place for dinner. It’s nearby a park and walking distance from shops.

Wonderful meal. We ate outside and it was lovely. Irina helped us. Very pleasant and knew the menu well. We ordered blood orange mojitos to drink and they were among the best mojitos either of us had ever had. We stayed with appies and small plates. The soup sampler, roasted pork belly, tuna tartar, smoked stuffed jalapeños, and the crispy cauliflower. Everything was amazing. Well prepared and nicely presented. We will absolutely be back.

This restaurant is really a great find in Bethany Beach. We visited for a quick dinner and left pleasantly content. We tried about 6 different items from the menu(smaller items) and they were ALL amazing. Our group shared them all. Afterwards we tried to figure out what was our favorite and couldn’t decide because of how good they all were. The service was good and pleasant. The food left me full but not feeling stuffed or bloated. They have certain hours that you can have reservations. I’d suggest doing that if you can, otherwise it’s a first come first served and a small dining area. I really suggest checking it out. Enjoy!

Sat outside and had a wonderful experience. Started off with crab dip and roasted cauliflower and poblano chilli roasted sweet corn and smoked bacon chowder. We decided to go for main plates which did not disappoint, mahi mahi, bison lamb burger and seafood pasta, delicious! Service was great and we were very happy all round.

Good lord please let me come back here every summer to enjoy the way they attack my palette with such ferocity but still remain delicate enough to allow me time to recover. Amen. Went here for New Years Eve one year and they had a set course menu of all kinds of culinary treats of perfection. I’m not even kidding when I say this place rivals most fancy places you find in urban areas. The chef, whoever it is cooks up food with care. What I mean by that is they use ingredients that push boundaries of normal food for mortals and give us food for the gods! Exaggerating? Maybe a bit. On top of that you get great service! Can’t wait til we meet again, Global 14! The Good: — everything. Seriously everything. Food and drinks are amazing. The Bad: — small place may get crowded — not enough room in my stomach for more — waits can be long, but hey did i add that food is orgasmic? The Ugly: — nothing ugly here, the most beautiful place I’ve been to in a long time

This was suppose to be one of the highlights of our trip since I last visited but unfortunately the service was sub-par and no more tapas. When I asked my server about it, he said he had no clue what tapas is and we can only order from the main menu. Try to make an effort to learn your job, he has the attitude that he could care less. We order our drinks & I ordered a victory on tap, it came in a small glass that was half full, when I got the bill, I was charged $ 8 for ½ a glass of beer! Since there’s no tapas menu according to the server, I ordered the seafood Mac & cheese but where’s the seafood? I had a small piece of lobster in my whole bowl and for $ 12, maybe they could have thrown in a shrimp too? Can’t believe I wasted my time to go there but lesson learned, time to find another spot! Very disappointed with my visit and off my list from now on.

Got the pork belly like many others, not a HUGE fan but pretty good. Tasted like ribs. Mom got one of the seafood pizzas… it was good with a generous amount of seafood but not as good as their other food in my opinion. Seafood Mac and cheese was a good starter. My dad’s sweet potato and bacon crab cakes were also pretty good. Overall the second night was not as incredible as the first, but it was still great.

Order wisely and you will have a 5-star food experience at 14 Global. This is known as a tapas/small plates place and that is the way to go. We got three apps: Corn pone(a sweet corn bread), seafood mac and cheese, and hand-cut fries. These were all outstanding. The fries are prepared with some truffle oil and black pepper, and would be amazing on their own, but the garlic aioli kicks them up another notch. The seafood mac&cheese is orichiette with nice chunks of crab, lobster, and shrimp. Luscious. The corn pone at $ 4 is a hidden gem. A must-try. On to the entrees and they were a let down. The Deconstructed cheese steak($ 24) and the mini crab cakes($ 23) were decent but both overpriced. My kids both got the kids’ filet($ 12). They loved the meat but it was a skimpy portion. Desserts were expensive but good. Flourless chocolate cake and crème brulee(you pick two of four flavors, we got clementine and vanilla). Service was not up to the food. We understand it’s late in the season but if you want a big city vibe, the service is a big part of it. Finally, the drinks were outstanding: One of the best Arnold Palmers I’ve had in a long while, fresh pineapple juice, a blueberry Shirley Temple, and a Rudhira Flower cocktail. All delightful. Bottom line: Make a meal out of the small plates and the wonderful drinks — both alcoholic and not — and you’ll be very very happy.

It’s been a rough reviewing week: First– I go to this place called«Summer Salts in Bethany» and the food was sub par. Next– I get home from Bethany and visit my friend in Baltimore, we go to this little Sushi hole in the wall, and it was extraordinarily… sub par. But now, I get to tell you about a restaurant that lifted my spirits, renewed my faith in food-manity and truly was a pleasure to dine at. 14 Global. A place that you could tear out of Bethany Beach, put in any bustling metropolitan area, and it would do just as well as it’s doing there. Innovative food: Check out these delicious hand cut fries. They come to the table looking as though they are soaked in oil. Glistening upon the backdrop of the white plate. But that aint oil. It’s sherry vinegar. And, well a LITTLE bit of truffle oil. The vinegar is more pronounced. The result is a delicious fry served with a killer smokey roasted garlic dipping sauce that evokes a balsamic flavor. Interesting Drinks: I got a traditional caipirinha, but I also got to taste the acai caipirinha, and the basil lemonade. The caipirinha was delicious. Balanced and flavorful. The acai one was on point too. Not a huge fan of the basil lemonade– tasted akin to drinking pesto. But, people were having it right next to us, and were loving it. I think it’s just a flavor preference on my end. It was cool and refreshing as a mother–«shut-yo-mouth». Service: Service at the bar was tops! The manager/owner? was super pleasent and didn’t mind explaining drinks or menu items to us. The service at the table was a little bit slower, long stretches with no waiter after the app drop & entrée drop. More on the food: We also ordered the charred ceasar salad, which had the most interesting croutons I had ever eaten. They were«cheddar corn pone croutons». There was a hard outer texture and in the bigger croutons, a delicious velvety inside. The dressing was KILLER. Like, bottle-that-stuff killer. Seafood mac and cheese was delightful. Especially finding the giant full lobster claw buried in the mix. The flavor was great, not overpowering, quite well balanced. Entrée: «Crispy Pork Belly– Blueberry, honey & chipotle glazed pork belly, served over smoked carrot infused creamy polenta, with bell peppers, Asiago cheese, and pickled red onions. «Absolutely delicious. The pork belly seemed as though fried and grilled. The smoked carrot infused polenta could have been a little warmer, but the flavor was there. Blueberry and chipotle drizzle, pork belly, polenta, and pickled onions made for a perfect bite. You encounter some depth in the berries that coat crispy fatty pig, the polenta’s creaminess lends a nice back for the bold front flavors and the pickled onions cut through the heaviness to add an exquisite brightness to the finish. Talk about full. 2 cocktails 1 seafood mac and cheese 1 order fries 1 salad 1 entrée Came to just over 70 bucks. A price you’d be hard pressed to find in DC. And I didn’t event mention the atmosphere. Giant pieces of flagstone puzzle-piece the walls, and the cool modern vibe is accented with rustic fabrics. Stone, canvas, glass. It’s like a hipster wedding, but cooler. Thank G-d for 14 Global, if not I’d be trying to forget this last week in food.
