Time for Nails

This is by far the best gel manicure I’ve ever had. I’ve been looking for somewhere that does quality gel manicures but for not a ridiculous price. I think I found a new home. I called ahead to make an appointment just in case it was busy, even though it was highly doubted since it was on a Wednesday. I went in and there was no one there. I asked for a gel manicure. The first thing I saw was the the huge wall of nail polish. They have every color you can think of! It’s Gel Heaven y’all! Almost two weeks later and my manicure is still intact not chipping or lifting. The lady that helped me was so nice and actually kind of hilarious! I’m so sad I can’t remember her name I think it was Lucy. I will most definitely be coming back for my gel manicures, can’t wait to pick a new color!

Nancy did a beautiful job on my acrylic gel fill. The fill did take a while but it was worth it. I asked her to do a specific design with rhinestones, and although i had to guide her a bit, she did a great job. Also, they took me right at the time of my appointment which was great because at a lot of other salons there is a 15 min wait even with an appointment. And they have a large selection of gel colors!

This is one of the best nail salons out there. I have only gotten the gel manicures here but they always last at least three weeks before starting to grow out. Usually most places my nails grow out after two. They can copy the designs if you show them a picture and mine always turn out great !

Great job! I got an acrylic set. I got long, coffin nails with gel polish. The shape is beautiful and the procedure was painless despite my thin, damaged nails from prior acrylic sets. It can be hard to find a place that does good shape with nails as long as I like mine so I make it a point to rate these places well! On point

Super affordable and great pedicure. Slow and a little cold– but overall I have no complaints about this no frills local gem!

I always have a great experience when I come. I love the environment and they are very friendly. I was seated promptly for my pedicure and I had no issues at all. Katie did my full set again and I was very happy with the results! Katie always kills it with what I want. I can always just show her a picture of the shape I want and she always delivers! Really recommend this place!(:

The place is clean and the manicurist are very friendly. Parking it’s a little hard to find specially Saturday’s morning.
Overall, Great service and very affordable. If you paid with cash it’s $ 2 cheaper than with Credit card.

Went in on Wednesday for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. This review is only for the manicure. If the manicure wasn’t as good as it was, I’d give this place one star.
Anyway, three days later, my gel polish is starting to peel on almost all nails and the polish on one of my index fingers has completely come off. I’m not even interested in going back to have them fix it.

In my experience here, the technicians at this salon give very consistent, quality manis and pedis but, Katie is definitely the best one! She has an eye for creating symmetrical nail shape and keeping the falsies (acrylics) looking very natural.
The shop seems to be family owned too which is always a plus (they have adorable family photos pinned around the shop too).

I’ve never been 100% satisfied with a nail salon until now. I had Katie do my hands while Kim did my feet. Both so nice, thorough, patient, and detailed. I’m very satisfied with the quality of work. You really do get what you pay for here. $ 50 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure with designs. Lovely ladies. Also appreciated that they try to get to know you and always address you by your first name when asking you things.

I will definitely return! Nancy did a great job on my nails & I enjoyed the pedicure from Lucy.

I have gave them two tries, and I won’t return. Katie is nice, that’s why I went back, but this time got someone else. She was slow, and removed all my nails instead of doing a fill. I didn’t expect that, and when I paid was charged $ 45. I said Ummmm I came for a fill? He said yeah she re did your nails. I said I didn’t ask her too, he said OK $ 40.
Either way, I tried again and was not pleased.

Absolutely love the service I receive here each time. I see Nancy for my nails and each time I’m there she examines all of my nails to make sure there is no lifting or discoloration to my real nails due to the time I’ve had them on. She will take off any nails and reapply acrylic if there is any lifting or discoloration (at little or no additional charge).

They’re quick, efficient, and friend. They took me last minute and weren’t rude about it! I would definitely come back. All the usual services and pricing for the area.

Actually a great little place to get your nails done! I feel like places in Berkeley are hit or miss (or it’s $ 30 for a mani). This place is wonderfully speedy, and and result was fantastic. This is also the first time in forever that I’ve actually let my nails dry all the way & didn’t smudge them, so I may be a bit excited for that, let’s be real.

Today was my first time at time for nails, and katie did the best job ever! Love my nails and can’t wait to go back for my next design! She’s awesome!

I have been a loyal fan of T&T Salon in Berkeley for their quick, efficient and long lasting mani/​pedis but now I think Time for Nails has quickly become a new contender.
I love that they respect your time — I made an appointment at 4PM and was promptly seated and immediately worked on by Lucy and Katie. My entire appointment only took an hour for a gel manicure with nail art and a regular pedicure. Super fast! The girls were adorable and chatty and I had a lot of fun talking to them :) Friendliest nail salon ever.
Gel Manicure: Katie did such a fantastic job on my gel manicure. I loved it so much, she cleaned my cuticles beautifully without causing any pain. They still look so neat today. She was also fabulous about giving advice on what to do with my nails and she did a phenomenal job! I will 100% be back to do a gel manicure with her again!
Regular Pedi: Unfortunately, I didn’t really love my pedicure job. It’s been two days and the polish on my big toe has already began to warp. Also for some reason, my toe nails look ‘dirty’ like maybe they didn’t clean the cuticles well enough?
All in all, I think Time for Nails did a phenomenal job. I would 100% come back to get a gel mani/​nail art here. It was really affordable and they did a great job! I have gotten so many compliments on it already. If you like fancy nails for an affordable price, Time for Nails is definitely the salon to go to.
If you, however just want a plain gel manicure/​pedicure, I would definitely recommend T&T Salon. They give fantastic scrubs and massages with their mani/​pedis and are priced cheaper. They also have a way wider selection of regular (not gel) polishes.

Incredible! I didn’t catch her name but she was a pretty young thang. Super sweet, seriously fast, and wicked efficient. Going back to her for sure. Very affordable for gel. This might be a new love affair.

Got my nails trimmed since it was to long! Good service and price! Will come back when, I’m in the area…
